Appion grabs the valve core too you just close the end a little with a pair of pliers just like you'll have to do with this 1 down the road. Read the Appion insert or directions.
@@HVACGUY gotcha , I like the sight glass feature . Do you think there’s a little too big ? The appinion sets I have can now are sometimes a little tight .
I like the additional features over the appion version. I think they should offer 5/16 versions as well, we all know those adapters are going to disappear fairly fast
As much trouble as I've seen you have guessing whether you grabbed the core or not, that sight glass looks like a winner. How much does Fieldpiece want for these?
thx for heads up! bout to order mine! love my field piece stuff so i def will give this a try! I like the sight glass but im sure thats more money than i need to spend if the smaller one has a good “feel”. my bags already to heavy! ha
Woow that I like. Only issue is I always find the units that have brass caps that some knuckle head tightened with a wrench, no way a core is coming out. Other than that I want those, great video field piece makes great stuff
Handy little tool. I like the sight glass, so you can see if you got it. FP seems to have good products. The only one I've seen you have trouble with was the leak detector. You didn't break out the hammer on that one, yet lol. Good review.
Nice video and explanation of the core tools. I believe they are made of all brass. Another great tool made by Feildpiece. Thank you for the tool review.
Often wondered Why the Schrader Brand Valve seems to have a High Failure Rate ? Is it because the Majority of these Valves installed are Schrader Vs. Other Brands ?
Hi Been doing some research on this Schrader valve core. According to their website there only a black and green core shown for use in AC units. The blue is for fuel systems red air. What are your thoughts on what is being used in the field. Thanks for your time.
your supposed to install the new valve just like the old one came out by clicking it on the end so it doesn’t wobble around inside the removal tool not just cram it in there ! So do it the right way so people don’t follow ur bad habits please thanks for the videos and btw I don’t like the valve handle too small Appion is just right and Appion slides over the valve core also but you never use it right either or all your removal tools are wore out because my Appion works just like field piece but i must say that sight glass is a game changer ball valve also!
just wish the Dual Ball valve version was not have long as it is. Significantly long that an Appion or Accutools. Other than that it works well as long as there is enough clearance .
Lots nicer in my opinion having the sight for proof positive you have captured the core. Thanks for the great over view of these
Anytime

Still like my the appinion cause of the magnetic feature on the turn knob . Keeps your tool away from dirt by placing it on the unit .
That end piece that turns is a magnet

The overall length of that core remover might be a problem in some situations
Thanks Curt for the Demo. I like that one for the Mini-splits. I may have to purchase one.
Definitely buying these tools! Wondering if I removed the valve or no it's been a struggle for me for years! I really like the side glass!
Best demo & review yet ... Thx Curt
Glad you liked it!

Thanks Curtis, those valve removal tools will be so handy to have and well made 👍 Au
I love my Appion valve core removal tool, but this one looks sweet! Will definitely be purchasing some, thanks for the video!
You bet!

Nice review. I'll be picking up one of those with the slight glass.

Looks just like my appion but with a sight glass. Which is super handy. Pricey though
Great valve core tool got to have one thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Awesome review. Lots of good info! I will definitely be getting one now
Glad it was helpful!

Great video sir thank you for your help! I returned my apprion one for this field piece core removal.
I also bought that rvc5. Thanks for that bit of info at the end!
Those ones are different than ones I has seen from an in person presentation, the shafts were Teflon coated or something.
Awesome valve core tool reviews, well done, very informative
You are the best!
Thanks for the review. Looks like a nice tool
It is!
Great review 👍👍👍
Thanks! 👍
Thank you
I foresee an problem with these core removers and the angle of the service parts on a older trans xr
That will get to the core of the problem

good video now just need 2 find a supplier to buy 1 from

Also have to give a quick purge before reinstalling the Schrader so you aren't pushing air in front of it into the system
Can they be used with automotive R134a and R1234yf fittings? Because Tom Lech says they can.
The real question do you like them better than the Appion?
Yes, I do
My appions are the same minus the sight glass. If I clip it into the tip the core comes out with zero issues. 🤷♂️
HVAC guy , what’s all in your bag ? Do you have links to where you bought them ? Thanks bud
I want these so bad

What torque setting is it set to? The cores should be torqued.
ugh these are backordered everywhere
Nice tools. Guess u got it to do a review? Supply houses and truetechtools have them on back order
