It looks like there's beam holes in the walls at the back end near those gates. It makes me wonder if they were set up as gatehouses for the second floor. This looks like a secure area. Built during the heyday of body snatching. Isolated and fortified. It also looks like totally devoid of vandalism. I get strong hints that there were wood elements that have rotted away. Seeing that someone welded the doors shut someone is looking after it. Interesting find.

Unfortunately, here in the US, you have to keep people out. So many people don't have the respect you do for places like this. Here, it would be filled with graffiti and beer cans.

The whole place felt kind of sad and lost. Miserable like. I felt sorry for those who had been buried there. There was nothing I could see which suggested any care or attention from once living relatives or even current living relatives. I just felt sad for them and like I wanted to take flowers and show respect. Ok... now to the fun stuff. I sat here laughing like a school girl as I experienced you two almost(?) getting caught doing stuff you might get sent to the headmaster for! Very strange to me. There is certainly a good amount of upkeep going on around the masoleum. There is no overgrowth inside or out. The pediment it sits on is not wildly overgrown and there are tire tracks going up to and beside it to some degree. Somebody is looking after it I wonder who? Who-who? 😮😳🤔

Should have taken some pics of you standing in front to compare...those 2 entrances may have been for each men, and women to enter the church...we have old churches in the US that has 2 entrances like that...onefor men, the other for women...so interesting...
The building of a "temple" in the middle of the woods makes me think someone in the family was into the occult. I don't mean that in a bad or derogatory way, it's just that in the 19th century, Theosophy and similar schools of thought/spirituality were very much in vogue, and a lot of people from the nobility and upper classes were interested in that sort of thing. The graves were probably much later, when the person who was into the occult philosophy was dead and the family had no need for a temple in the woods. One of the graves may well be that person. Mind you, this is pure speculation on my part, but it is grounded in my knowledge of history, so take it for what it's worth.
So is it that the roof is gone or was there never a roof put on the structure? They have better security than Abraham Lincoln had with his first grave.
It is not a proper mausoleum it was best a walled burial ground. No sign of being anything except anther church that was lived past the need and the roof has been removed.

I see that place thinking that it was intended to handle more bodies than that, and it never caught on. The bodies that are there shouldn't have been buried in the ground but on top of the ground and bricked in forming a level surface to stack more bodies on top of them.
