One Last Splash! Full Ride Through POV & Queue of Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom on Its Last Day 😢

- This video is not like our other videos, but it's not every day you have to say good bye to an iconic attraction like Splash Mountain. Don't get us wrong - we're excited to see what the Imagineers have up their sleeves for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, but we also wanted to give Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear the send off they deserve. We also wanted to preserve the memory of this ride and the lovely queue.
Honestly, we made this video for us. We just really wanted to have something to remember one of our favorite rides of all time, and we thought you all might enjoy watching it as well.
Farewell, Brer Rabbit. We'll never forget you. ❤️

What a fantastic job of telling a compelling story. Love love love what you and or Erick did with the editing. It was steeped with nostalgia. This is something that people will look back on years from now when they are missing our beloved splash. Bravo!
Thanks so much, Scott. This is one I think we’ll watch again ourselves in the years ahead. We just kinda wanted to make a love letter for Splash for ourselves and I really hope other people enjoy it as well. We miss it already, but I’m sure we’ll also love the new ride when it opens. I watched this video with a smile on my face. I sure will miss Brers Rabbitt, Fox, and Bear. This was an enchanting ride. Sad to see it go. I'm sure Tiana's theming will be fantastic too but I'm glad I discovered your video to keep Splash fresh for ever in our memory

I not a nostalgic Disney fan, so I'm not very familiar with the ride and characters, but I wish they would have kept this ride open until the end of the 50th anniversary for the park. Our family doesn't go until mid March and we would have loved to go with our extended family on a last ride. Thank you Rob for the wonderful filming of the ride!!
Same on coming in March! 🥺 we have ridden it before but I wanted my son to finally go on it there at Disney World.
Yes - some extra time would have been nice. I think they should have at least waited until Tron opened so there was a new ride to balance out the loss of this one. Thanks for watching! 😃
One thing to be thankful for is that I was announced when it would be closed. Not unceremoniously, or ended in tragedy like a fire or other disaster. Let's hope the new experience can be "plussed" Thanks for the farewell video!

Hey Rob, just wanted to let you know I used your videos as a guide for our recent vacation at Disney World and we saved a ton of time using the Genie slots technique, even if it was sometimes frustrating. Thanks for all the work you do!

I just wanted to thank you for all your tips. Just came back from Disney with doing all 4 parks. The Genie slots worked amazingly and we were able to do everything we wanted which was almost everything at all the parks. Patience was the key as you’ve said. One day I was holding 2 experience redemptions which I was able to get lightning lanes for when the rides came back up and used them to re-ride!

I'm very sad to see Splash close. The vast majority of people have never seen Song of the South and just enjoy this ride for what it is. (I remember the movie fondly of the storyteller and his characters.) I wish they had kept Splash and given Tiana her own ride in another spot.

Hey Rob, thank you so much for all the helpful videos. We just got back from our first Disney visit and got to ride all the rides and see everything we wanted to see. This clearly wouldn’t of been possible without all your tips. You helped us make this trip magical with very little frustration and wait time.

Thanks for sharing this, we love this ride. We were hoping to get to ride it again in March when we come back as was hoping it would of stayed open until the end of the 50th anniversary, but never mind, we rode it twice last year when we visited in September/October

I am crying! It is so sad to see disney distroy there unice rides. Not IP rides go, for generic IP rides...... I hate it
just out of curiosity, what do you do with your backpack when you go on these rides?
Hi Bill. I always take it with me at WDW. All the rides allow backpacks (except for Astro Orbiter, which allows you to put it on the ground near the fence) and I usually just set it on the floor of the vehicle. If I’m nervous about it flying out, I’ll loop the strap around my leg. Disney just announced that the new TRON roller coaster at Magic Kingdom will be the first coaster to not allow backpacks and they will provide complimentary lockers. This is common at Universal, but a relatively new thing at WDW. The only ride to previously offer lockers was Kali River Rapids because it gets so wet. Thanks for watching! 😃
@@EarScouts that’s good to know, I am always on the fence about renting a locker & having to keep walking back to it! & yes I do the love the Universal Lockers at the ride, however sometimes if you have a large bag, you’ll have to pay extra for it!
What a sad day. Wish Disney would have expanded this franchise and turned it into the wonderful and magical world Uncle Remus, Brer rabbit/bear/fox deserves. Instead of running from cultural realties I would prefer Disney take ownership and create content based on these characters that everyone could enjoy. Also looking forward to Princess and the Frog theming with Tiana. Just wish it were in an expanded section of Magic Kingdom along with Moana and Encanto. I have a copy of the original Song of the South and our family and friends of all ethnic and racial backgrounds have enjoyed with our family for generations. Just a real shame.
All ethnic back grounds should read the major ethnic backgrounds of North America.
Hi Kev! We are definitely sad to see this one go, but we also have faith that the Imagineers will surprise and delight us with something new. I do agree that these characters that were created and shared with the world by enslaved African people deserve better than being saddled by the baggage of Song of the South. Hopefully future artists will give them a new life.
Disney doesn’t even acknowledge that people are genuinely sad over the closure. I guess we will see how that plays out.
