WOW! This brings back such memories for me. Memories of standing in very long lines hoping to get some bread or milk or meat. My grandparents lost all of their property under communism. They had been land and Vineyard owners. As Christians, we met in secret in small house churches, and we never knew if there might be an informant among us. My parents were personal friends of Richard Wurmbrandt who spent 14 years or so in Romanian prisons. My family was German/Saxon and we were finally allowed to leave Romania in 1965 when I was 12 years old. My father was in a labor camp for two years after World War II. I remember some stories that he told years ago. I can’t imagine how anyone could believe that communism is a good thing.

This is probably my 6th video watching of this guy doing the interviewing. I have to say, I absolutely love the professionalism, and direct-to-the-point of a question approach the interviewer takes. I’ve much enjoyed other interviews of some of this gentleman’s guests on other programs. But I can say for each of those guests, the specific interviews given by this gentleman have been my favorite.

@@Practical.Wisdom I couldn’t say I’d have a “desired” guest. I’ve just enjoyed what I’ve viewed so far. I just felt the need to complement yourself, (if you are the interviewer, I apologize I hadn’t caught your name whilst viewing the videos) because seldom am I as impressed with the delivery, and structure of the subject matter, as I am with the actual subject matter itself. And I just had to point it out if no one else had taken notice. The subjects of the interviews themselves could have been about any other topics imaginable. And although the guests, and topics were a treat, the structure of the interviews themselves, and the professional and direct manner in which the guests are engaged are the item I mostly meant to complement.
However, that said. I always like Jordan Peterson interviews- less when he is the interviewer, and more when he is the interviewee. I don’t know how doable that is. But It would be intriguing to see how your direct style of interviewing would pair with his more abstract style of explanation.
Thank you for all the videos you have posted thus far!

This was excellent!! Thank you both. Hard to believe that this happened so recently (from my perspective), yet there are still people today who say socialism/communism is good.

Excellent interview! I think it's key to remember as rightfully pointed by Mr. Delentant that communism was forced on the Romanian people and on most of the countries in Eastern Europe by the Soviets. The Romanian people suffered the consequences (of communism) without having the freedom to choose in the first place. And that's quite distressing.

Exactly, Romania (as well as other countries under the Iron Curtain) never voted Communists into power, but was forced for decades to accept this regime.

    Excelent interview!
Could add that Ceausescu pulled out one of the biggest tricks in the history by pretending to oppose the soviet intervention in Prague 1968.
In fact, archives show that this was a KGB plot to trick the Western Allies into believing that Ceausescu was the "good guy" in the Iron Curtain.
All doors were opened for Romania into western techonology, which was shiped first to Moscow.
So longer the trick worked, everybody was happy.
    Good luck with future interviews!

Mr. Deletant is talking about Ceaușescu's ideas and doings but actually his ministers were the smart ones Manescu and Maurer.

Absolutely right. They supported Ceausescu to come into power and were much more able than Ceausescu himself.

@cal.Wisdom I will report you. Stop taking about our history without evidence. You are corrupted and criminals. Ceausescu is a hero, a martyr of socialism and anti imperialism.
