I think the reason why I love this movie so much is ..I think of it as 3 movies. The first movie is a tragedy. Loss of family on many levels. Loss of home and hearth. The second is that of struggle and overcoming the odds and succeeding. The third is about family, home and for me faith. Absolutely love this movie. Thank you very much.

Most of his racing career, he ran once a week@!! Now days the Triple Crown is considered almost impossible because of the time span between the three races. Wow, what happened to the present day racehorses?
She wrote a couple of great books that i know of. Margaret Mitchell wrote just one book. Gone With The Wind was filmed page by page right out of that book....
@@Rofamily6 There is no height requirement to be a jockey, only the weight requirement. I think he's great in the role, with this budget they had to get a big actor for the lead character which was a why he was cast and he worked on the directors last movie. I admit he gives more emotional range in this performance than anything else he's done. I just wish they had cast an actor that is not as well-known but he's definitely grown on me in this role and it would be hard to imagine someone else now.

Also the greatest book ever wrote. So much detail that was accurate. Author did a wonderful job in her writing.
