What you reported is not "how profiotable" senior living facilities are but rather what one could charge per bed. To know profitability requires knowing not only what one can charge but also knowing what the expenses are. Could you do that please. thank you

WI here: so private pay depending on level of care let’s say $5000 a month at 5 people = $25,000 Then think about your monthly expenses: Food Electricity Insurance Pharmacy related expenses Water Mortgage Etc Payroll for: Nurses 1-2 Caregivers 1-3 Accountant etc What do you really have left at the end of the month?
As someone who lives in one of these facilities, I find it appalling how budget cuts are affecting the overall health of residents because the profit line isn’t big enough. The “beds” are costly and most are on fixed incomes. I’m not impressed with this industry as a whole.

I would so like to get some info on funding to start one in Arizona. We’ve been helping the elderly since I was a child. I love our seniors. I hate to see them being forgotten and seeming to be just existing. I would totally appreciate some personal advice.

Crazy how you didnt say what the resposibilities of the owner is? What are the costs? What are the least amount of beds to have and it will still be worth the cost and trouble?

Look at your state’s requirement on opening an AL, CBRF, RCAC, adult family home…. Then to find clients work with case managers at hospitals, hospice companies, personal care agencies, social workers, case managers that works with Medicaid clients, Aging resources in your area , placement agencies, etc.

No food uasing same soup for lunch bowls food wasn't eatten back in pot.This place 20 years same beds just gotten new beds . Now then don't have money to buy coffee. Caregiver don't have Aide Certificate working 10 months. Not all about Cost.

Expenses can range but you should account for about $3500 per head minimum per month PLUS the mortgage or lease

Mostly private bedrooms and bathrooms, luxury home in a nice part of town, 24-7 care and help, food and medication management etc.
