    I work for an assisted living facility in Maryland that has been in its community for 34 years and as I've started to get more involved I have agreed to take over the buisness and recently got my certification(s). Luckily we don't usually need to advertise because we have a good reputation in our community, but it baffled me when I realized my boss didn't/hasn't ever advertise. And to give a better idea it's a 15 bed facility in a somewhat rural area.

    So I’m a contractor that has done a lot of work on large nursing home facilities, my question is, I thought a lot of people move into cottages in the beginning, and then into the apartments, and then into the Real nursing home as their health declines a large nursing, and will have amenities for each step of the way, how does this system compete with that type of set up? It’s also my understanding when they sign up for the cottages they are guaranteed a place for each step of the way as their health declines, and they need more assistance

    So....I think as a recently "retired RN"....which is a terrible profession, WRT stressfully impactful careers....something must change.
    So...as a 60 year old man...with 300K to invest...I think this might be the right "final thing" to do....and pretty soon. Would like to make the move soon....only thinking 3-4 rooms. I don't even think I need to serve the "ultimately needy; those that need toileting, showering, etc"....but it could be "pre-assisted living in a nice 4-BedRoom house with 65+ age people who can still "tout their' own bags and just need a bit of help.

    Leased a home?? So, what do you when or if the owner wants to sell the property? Are the occupants left high and dry?

    • @serg_lupescu
      @serg_lupescu  5 месяцев назад

      That's correct; I leased my very first property. You have it in the lease agreement that you have the right of refusal, which allows you, as the tenant, to purchase the property if the owner gets an offer from another buyer. The seller also has to disclose that they are leasing the property to a tenant operating the business and that it's currently being operated out of.
