Oh yeah, I feel that... there is nothing more sexy to me than someone I can feel intellectually and emotionally connected to and compatible with on a deeper level... although I can still feel physically or sexually attracted to someone who I find highly physically attractive just to a much milder and fleeting extent.
Ive always been confused with different types of attraction before. I used to want to be friends with people, and be close to them, but i confused those feelings with romantic attraction and it even made me question my sexuality. But now i know i just wanted to be close friends with them.
As an AroAce person, I have no desire to have a romantic and sexual attraction towards someone, but as a social introvert, I really like platonic relationships! It makes me more comfortable to have someone as my friend, rather than a partner.
Why is it that everyone is suddenly turning out gay all of the sudden?? By the way this is not hate I’m just so confused lmao. So many teenagers be coming out as bi and pan and yet I see no actual gay relationships they just be saying stuff for attention.
@@KUR4H Partly cause they are learning that stuff like bi, ace, and aro actually exist. Personally I'm ace but only learned about it until after becoming an adult and meeting another ace person. As a teen I remember coming out as bi to my dad (I thought I was bi cause it was the closest option to not desiring sex with either gender), and he told me he didn't even think of bi as a real thing. So it's probably because as a society we are only just beginning to really learn about it, and there's more gay people than you think. Also, not "seeing any gay relationships" doesn't necessarily mean anything, especially because even though a ton of people are gay, way more people are still straight.
@@shelbie7604 No I understand that there are still probably a lot of gay people but there are so many toxic gen z kids at my school who dye they’re hair crazy colors and wear crazy emo clothes for attention and they’re always switching up they’re sexualities. There was this one girl I knew last year who went from being trans to bi to pan to lesbian and then ace and in my head I was like “DANG GIRL PLEASE JUST DECIDE WHO YOU ARE ALREADY” anyways I later found out the girl was only in it for the attention. In fact so many members of my generation have this lust and deep desire to be praised and get attention. It’s gotten so bad to the point where we have people faking mental illnesses online and making up new sexualities for attention. I’d say that they have something called “obsessive attention seeking disorder”
Yeah I have aesthetic attraction for people. Even towards men. But like I always say “Nothing wrong with appreciating a man’s beauty as a dude.” Not looking for romance or sexual feeling just admiring their looks and loving their vibe. Plus, I want to give off aesthetic attraction because I’m not looking for a romantic relationship or commitment. I just want to look really good for people lol. Maybe inspire them with my outfit or hairdo and have some friends to hang out with for a change. God bless you
Yeah, I always had that mindset as well. I always thought that we should be able to appreciate if a dude is handsome, even as a guy. I do it myself, as a straight guy. It’s just that we can’t really express that belief aloud, without often being looked down upon for seeming gay… 🤷♂️
@@andrescervantes2417 don’t worry bro be yourself. Guys who think it’s gay to appreciate another man’s look and vibe are just insecure about their masculinity. They have to be tough and serious and boring. All the men in my family are like that lol. So yeah, do not worry. It is fine.
Aesthetic finally helps me understand why I have had a crush on the same person for so long. For whatever reason, they just always seem so pretty and cute to me and they always seem so, no matter how much time has passed. Honestly, knowing that attraction exists helps clarify things for me. So thanks
There's actually different words for "crushes" of different types of attractions! :D So there's crush for romantic, squish for platonic/emotional, smush for sexual, lush for physical/sensual, swish for aesthetic, and there's even plus for queerplatonic and mesh for alterous, which aren't discussed in the video.
To anyone reading this remember you're a really nice person you don't need to change yourself for anyone just be yourself then you could see the real change 😘 Love ya'll :)
I feel like I have something of a mix of Romantic, Aesthetic and Intellectual attraction towards my crush, with a pinch of Physical attraction mixed in
I can totally relate with the physical and emotional attraction I don't have a partner but I like getting it from my best friend and parents it feels comforting when I'm getting hugged, or holding an arm of my bff or my parents
I feel like if we all just focussed within, rather than on external factors, a lot of this stuff wouldn't matter. Still great content tho, good job!! 💪😤
@@venomsn4kee Fair. I just feel attraction( romantic and/or sexual) , in general, is a waste of mental resources. This is my personal opinion, and I don't mean to force it on anyone else.
I mean I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I really do understand your point, but people on the “a-spectrums” (aromantic, asexual, etc) who *often* (not always) don’t experience physical attractions, still need terms to help describe and differentiate their emotions towards other people. So even if we were all “just focused within”, a lot of people would still need terms to talk about their feelings for other people and think about them lol. Hope this was somewhat helpful! ^^
@@nikhilnarayanan5949 Well, a lot of, if not most people have been shown to experience a psychological necessity for close relationships, so i would say that calling it “a waste” is like calling making an effort to get food or water “a waste”. But I suppose I respect your perspective lol, I myself am aromantic and asexual after all- lol-
I think I probably have Physical Attraction coz I am mostly a touchy feely person. I loveeeeee hugs and just a ruffle on the hair or maybe just a slap on the back. People tend to take it the wrong way sometimes and think I like them romantically or smthn but its just me who adores the sense of touch✨✨
I once had this girl in my primary school. She was a good friend and I spent a lot of time with her. At the time, my other friends were bullying her and I felt the need to care for her. My other friends friends thought I had a crush on her, but all I wanted was to help someone who was sad. I didn't love her but I cared for her as if I did.
After watching this video, my friend and I ended up talking about it for a little over an hour because it drastically changed the way I look at relationships and I wish I had this in my life earlier. Thank you so much Psych2Go, you guys are awesome!
Okay, I needed to hear number 5, I feel really validated now. I get so much shit from people for not wanting to go on "flings" or "one-night stands" with random people, and I get shit from my best friend for still being a virgin. Sex isn't really that important to me, I believe I'm somewhere between asexual and demisexual (demisexual meaning that you're only really sexually attracted to people you are emotionally attracted to), and because so many people don't know what that is and give me shit for being a "complete liberal stereotype", or they are just blindly accepting and don't actually show me that they understand it and accept me for who I am, it's frustrating. I want to be emotionally attached to my friends on a much deeper level than I am right now, but the fact that we don't see each other as often as I'd like to allow that to happen and the fact that it hasn't been very long its preventing that from happening. Thank you for taking the time to read this if you did, and if someone out there is just like me, give me a reply. I'd like to connect.
Yeah same, one night stands are a turn off for me. Like I don't feel the emotional and romantic feelings. There's nothing at all unless I get to know them.
Yeap I did tell my partner recently I have never feel aesthetical attraction in my life I always value emotional attraction and intellectual attraction first and foremost. I would never feel romantic attraction , physical attraction or sexual attraction towards anyone until I meet him who I have an intellectual and emotional attraction towards. If it makes you feel better I'm a kissless virgin and I'm nearly 33. Me and my boyfriend are having a long distance relationship since last year and we will meet for real this summer. He already book flight ticket to come and see me. You don't need the validation of other ppl as long as you live a happy life it's all matter. Most ppl are just afraid you dare to choose a different path from theirs and you know how humans are they reject what they don't consider norm of society, as long as you didn't commit any crime or violate any law why should you worry about what others think about you ? Haters will gonna hate that's all they do in their life
same.. I’m also asexual and demi, I can’t spend much time with my friends either so I always feel like I’m left out. I blame myself for not being able to, even though I can’t do anything about it. ;; It makes me sad how I always have to miss out n feel like they’ll leave me one day.. I don’t have a lot of friends and many of the old friends I had left me because I couldn’t spend more time with them.
I feel like cultural differences play such a big part. In your culture, you're getting shamed for something good. In other cultures, sex is reserved for the one special person, your spouse, and many people say how they're glad they did it like that
Be able to help yourself, that attracts me the most in every human beeing. Sometimes you need help from others...but making the first step in this direction, this is your decision...this needs a lot of braveness. And then you should've the goal to get independent...this also needs a lot of braveness. If you're able to do this, automatically everybody can see this in your whole Person...outside and inside.
I think I feel all of them when I'm dating someone or just liking someone, but the three I feel the most are romantic, sexual and emotional attraction.
I felt every of them lots of times, except intellectual attraction (this last one only a few times). I appreciate intelligence in a partner, but being a good person is way more important for me. I'm tired of intelligent but evil and narcissistic partners.
I feel like I'm a mixture of all of them (some more then other in particular circumstances) I think the only attraction I probably have less of is the Intellectual Attraction. I find it really cool and fascinating when someone has some fun fact to say or get all excited talking about what the love in detail... But my attraction for smartness then turns into fear because I don't understand what their talking about and I feel bad, like they really wanted to talk to someone that would understand them... Then they sometimes lose that excited glow they had...
I'm so happy aesthetic attraction is a thing, for so many years I was thinking I'm just a shallow person always admiring people's looks while almost never catching any romantic feelings. Don't get me wrong, I've had some crushes too, but all of them were after knowing someone closer as a person. But damn... aren't human beings beautiful
honestly I think feel physical attraction more then others, when I was young I use to fall for many girls for there looks but now I realis that my more matured taste is the person that can hold me in just the right way, despite my romanticism I do tend to get along better with friends in the short term that touch me lightly
this explains so much, and NOW I HAVE A REPLY FOR SOMEONE WHO THINKS I'M IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE WHEN ALL I DID WAS SAY THEY WERE HOT!! Just because I think someone is hot doesn't mean I like them in a romantic way. Also the physical attraction part explained so much to me, like I have a explanation to why I'm clingy and crave physical attention
This video is awesome! I thought I had a crush on someone but didn't feel like having a relationship. I just want to be emotionally connected with that person! Thanks so much Psych2Go!

Both Physical and Aesthetic Attraction. Thank you so much for this information! Now I know why I feel like wanting to be hugged or cling to my family and friend so much, or having an aesthetic attraction to someone but now feeling sexually attracted to them. I really love your videos it helps me understand myself even more.
There's a seventh: My kind of attraction. Feeling any type of attraction to people (e.g. when you actually like someone feeling emotionally/sexually/romantically attracted), but when you're actually around other people you feel ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. Just an aching cold emptiness.
So aesthetic attraction it’s basically like a flower you don’t have a thing for it but you appreciate the flowers look not sure if that’s a bass analogy

I hate having to conform to one identity like aromantic or asexual or anything really. I feel every kind of attraction at some point, but when it comes to the part of a relationship when I have to decide what I want from the other person, I just want to hold their hand when I'm lonely and confide in them when I'm afraid or in danger
So, I’m asexual and I am so glad I watched this video. My boyfriend wanted to be extremely intimate with me and even have sex, but I told him that I am romantically attracted to him but that I also want us to feel like friends too, and not be super intimate. He was confused and a little hurt at first, but once he understood better he was very loving and sweet about it. This video helped both of us so thank you Psych2Go!! 💖🥺
Thanks for the video, I have been confused for many years, and my partner attempts have always made me feel bad or less masculine for not feeling sexual attraction for them, I think I might be asexual, I just hope someday I'll find someone who feels the same way :/
There is absolutely nothing wrong with not being sexually attracted to someone. And it doesn't reflect on your masculinity at all. There are plenty of asexual men!
I'm going through a big crush right now and these kind of videos really help with my feelings and managing them, I just wish a had the confidence to say that I have a crush on them.
I relate a lot to the description of intellectual attraction. I cannot experience romantic neither sexual attraction unless I find the person intellectually stimulating. It's soothing to see how open-minded these videos are. Some of my friends don't get it when I say I can't have sex with someone just because they are good-looking. In fact, I have felt attracted to people who might be perceived as ugly by today's beauty standards, but I like them because they have beautiful minds 😍
I think the style that describes me the best is probably physical. If you cuddle with me enough, you’re a keeper. I’ve never cared as much about sex as the average person, it always seemed kinda forced on me by my own body and my friends. Maybe forced isn’t the right word, idk. I also find it hard to relate with people sometimes because everyone seems so afraid of physical contact.
This really gives insight to who I am as a person! I've suppressed so much, that I've had to question whether or not I feel certain types of attraction for certain people. After watching this video, I think I'm a bit closer to getting answers. Thank you for the content!
TL;DR - I talk about what love is for me, a person that's both asexual and aromantic. ---------------------------------------------------------------- There's a common misconception that people on the asexual and/or aromantic spectra (like myself) are emotionless or antisocial. But I'm basically the personification of every non-sexual, non-romantic attraction type, especially emotional and intellectual. I absolutely LOVE connecting with people in meaningful ways. For me, that desire for meaningful connection is the very definition of love, which may or may not include (in my case, probably won't) "R-rated activities" 😉 or the feeling that a specific person is your one and only soulmate. Life is not a Hallmark movie, y'all! Note: I like romcoms and shipping, but I usually don't imagine myself in one of them. Sometimes, I'm indifferent to romance, sometimes it grosses me out on a spiritual level, sometimes it brings me inner peace (have you ever heard of aroaceflux people? I'm one of them).
I forgot to mention that I'm also autistic. People like me usually aren't antisocial Sheldon Coopers, ok? Every autistic person is unique: some are severely disabled, some are nearly identical to non-autistic people, and some are geniuses. Some are basically indifferent to socialization, some kinda like it, some love it. That's why autism is also known as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder): just like asexuality and aromanticity, autistic traits vary wildly from person to person, and might even change their intensity over time, often unpredictably and involuntarily.
I’ve wanted to romantically like someone, I wanted to know the feeling. I only really feel platonic attraction towards people but even then it still doesn’t feel right
No thanks needed! Your channel is a amazing resource for which I shall thank you for!! I do shsre your videos as it applies or if i feel it may help, and when i think someone doesn't understand what i or someone they know can't seem to explain what they are going through, or rhe way they function. These videos are always so interesting to watch & look into even if I’m not in the mood to get knowledge. Amazing videos and love your topics you pick! I take on 2-4 of the attractions spoke about in this vid.
I'm aroace (aromantic asexual), so I don't experience romantic or sexual attraction. But I experience sensual, emotional/platonic, and aesthetic attraction, so I consider myself pan oriented.
I'm the kind of person that hates being vulnerable near others. For example, crying in front of others (Except my mom). My mom doesn't know (I think, we never had the talk. I don't fell like a need to tell her that by now.) that I'm bissexual. My cousin's girlfriend, witch I've known for two/three years knows it. And I honestly am so glad for it. And well... Yesterday they came to my house to spend some time with us... And they brought their dog, that is very sick, can't walk anymore and I really do love that pup. We've rescued him, he was lost at the beach... And because of a toumor, he can't run into the beach and feels pain... That KILLED me on the inside... But I've cryed in front of her yesterday... It was... Different, but I felt like I was safe opening my heart to her... I don't know, I just wanted to share this here.

U guys should put all of these love related videos in one playlist, so it would be easier for us to access them
Yeah I have aesthetic attraction for people.
It is fine.
@@inhuman_human6790 Alright man, thanks for the advice. 👍 Glad I’m not the only one, because my family is like that too, for the most part.
The animation style really warms my heart. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! :) Would you like to see more of this animation?
@@Psych2go Sure, but please don't overwork yourselves ☺
Aesthetic finally helps me understand why I have had a crush on the same person for so long. For whatever reason, they just always seem so pretty and cute to me and they always seem so, no matter how much time has passed. Honestly, knowing that attraction exists helps clarify things for me. So thanks
There's actually different words for "crushes" of different types of attractions! :D So there's crush for romantic, squish for platonic/emotional, smush for sexual, lush for physical/sensual, swish for aesthetic, and there's even plus for queerplatonic and mesh for alterous, which aren't discussed in the video.
To anyone reading this
remember you're a really nice person you don't need to change yourself for anyone just be yourself then you could see the real change 😘
Love ya'll :)
Thank you so much... You're a really nice person as well... Have a wonderful day and life ahead... 😊😊😊

we’re human though and biology is a big part of it
@@venomsn4kee Fair. I just feel attraction( romantic and/or sexual) , in general, is a waste of mental resources. This is my personal opinion, and I don't mean to force it on anyone else.
Agreeable
This video is opening my eyes to the fact it’s a lot of different types of attractions. I just thought most would be encompassed into a couple.
My favorite type is Magnetic Attraction
As a science lover I agree 😎
Take my like and get out
I once had this girl in my primary school.
I smiled the second I saw MIRABEL and Julieta! Nice video by the way!

Hey do you think you could make a video on how to avoid catching feelings for people? It really inconvenient and annoying, I’d love some tips 🙃
I think I feel all of them when I'm dating someone or just liking someone, but the three I feel the most are romantic, sexual and emotional attraction.
The Elden Ring reference, it truly brings everyone together
emotional attraction is one of the best for sure, good mental health is key to be succesful in life.
I like how they explained Aesthetic attraction 💫✨
THANK YOU I was literally having a breakdown about my feelings for someone and I was soooo confused.
I’m definitely #3! I don’t like seggs but I like holding hands or cuddling or high fives!
I'm glad to learn the term 'aesthetic attraction.'
5! God, I need those deep talks to feel like it's even a relationship. I also find people who are intellectually stimulating very cool
this explains so much, and NOW I HAVE A REPLY FOR SOMEONE WHO THINKS I'M IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE WHEN ALL I DID WAS SAY THEY WERE HOT!!
AHHHHH THIS VIDEO MADE MY ACE HEART SO HAPPY!!!!!
I am sad I am a spade I didn’t get forced representation on Netflix
I’ve now copy + pasted the link to this vid onto my Discord server!
Also, something completely off topic but the art style of these lil vids is so adorable and just makes my day whenever I see them. 😇
sensual attraction, emotional attraction and intellectual attraction 🦋💜
Both Physical and Aesthetic Attraction. Thank you so much for this information! Now I know why I feel like wanting to be hugged or cling to my family and friend so much, or having an aesthetic attraction to someone but now feeling sexually attracted to them. I really love your videos it helps me understand myself even more.
"You attract the right things when you have a sense of who you are." - Amy Poehler
Recently realized I am aromantic and it feels so validating seeing one of my favourite channels talk about aromanticism 😊💚
I love the background music so much! It's so chill and jazzy
also I learned a lot 🥰
There's a seventh: My kind of attraction.
Feeling any type of attraction to people (e.g. when you actually like someone feeling emotionally/sexually/romantically attracted), but when you're actually around other people you feel ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. Just an aching cold emptiness.
I've experienced all of them; but the person I'm most attracted to resonates with all of the "types."
So aesthetic attraction it’s basically like a flower you don’t have a thing for it but you appreciate the flowers look not sure if that’s a bass analogy
I think a better analogy would be thinking fishing is cool, even though you personally don't like fishing.
Yup, exactly!
Thanks to u r help .... Today I have learned a lot about my hidden talents and myself..... And I have been able to express my self in many ways..... Thank u so much for your help... You deserve More 💜💜💜💜.. by the way love you 😘😘👈👈👈💜👈👈😊😊😊
I hate having to conform to one identity like aromantic or asexual or anything really. I feel every kind of attraction at some point, but when it comes to the part of a relationship when I have to decide what I want from the other person, I just want to hold their hand when I'm lonely and confide in them when I'm afraid or in danger
Emotional Attraction gang!!
Love these videos, thanks psch2go :)
Thanks for always watching!
@@Psych2go Hehe, you guys are so nice! ❤️
oooooooOOOOoooOOO aesthetic attraction!! That's what I've been feeling. I knew it wasn't romantic attraction- I was so confused lol ^^
qpr?
Watching a psych2Go video first thing in the morning makes me feel lighter and that I'm gonna have a good day
I think the style that describes me the best is probably physical.
----------------------------------------------------------------
There's a common misconception that people on the asexual and/or aromantic spectra (like myself) are emotionless or antisocial.
Thank you so much for this one ! You pick up common but often unspoken topics :)
I’ve wanted to romantically like someone, I wanted to know the feeling. I only really feel platonic attraction towards people but even then it still doesn’t feel right
My attraction is 40% aesthetic, 40% platonic, 10% physical and 10% emotional. I currently like a singer/actress aesthetically
No thanks needed! Your channel is a amazing resource for which I shall thank you for!! I do shsre your videos as it applies or if i feel it may help, and when i think someone doesn't understand what i or someone they know can't seem to explain what they are going through, or rhe way they function. And i especially share with people interested in psychology. And my dogs. They don't get a choice lol.
That elden ring Easter egg was cherry on top of the video.
Out of all the attractions I love the most is emotional and inteluctual attraction
Thank you Psych2go, I learn something every day from this channel
As an asexual person. I LOVE romantic relationships!! Also flirtatious relationships!💞🥰
These videos are always so interesting to watch & look into even if I’m not in the mood to get knowledge. Amazing videos and love your topics you pick! I take on 2-4 of the attractions spoke about in this vid.
Thé romantic and emotional ones APPLY TO ME so MUCH!
i liked the drawing a year ago a lot more - was so cude
I'm aroace (aromantic asexual), so I don't experience romantic or sexual attraction. But I experience sensual, emotional/platonic, and aesthetic attraction, so I consider myself pan oriented.
I feel like i can improve on how to make myself happy and others who want to be in my life.
3:03 The Omori refrence!!🤩
my first time seeing someone talk about sapiosexual! thank you for that!
All depends on circumstances
Really enjoy that they talked about asexual people :)
I think I am all of these but it depends when and who I'm with
I feel like there's more than just 6. Either way, I have felt all of these at one point or another.
Thanks you for posting psyc2go i liked the video 😁🐸
Emotional attraction is the most important for me
Woah, thank you so much Psych2Go.
I really need to know about this right now.
