I use to do that at Weston super mare UK back in 1970s great fun
Riding through the wash looks sick!
Sank a works ford transit and 2 speedway bikes at Ainsdale beach c. 1979. After watching said transit bobbing around in the ocean for a few hours the tide went out we managed to get transit running, sparks shooting from the dashboard bit like the bridge on Starship Enterprise. Made it to Preston where it completely died with only 6,000 earth miles on the clock. My speedway buddy lost his job. Stripped jawa engines down for a clean and were good to go for even more speedway trekkin' adventures!

Had speedway on Southport beach, long time ago as well as sand yachts.
Lookin good Dan....more than a bit like Peter Craven...he was a big beach racer at Ainsdale...and like him you have universal appeal...

I forget they are just kids until I see a picture. I enjoy watching them race though. Do it while you can boys, cause it takes less time to turn fifty than it does thirty. I didn't beleive that.

You giving it a bit of the Peter Craven? He used to have a blast on ainsdale beach I heard.
I used to do it on Southport beach in 1976 in the winter.....on a Jawa 2 valve👍🏻😂
Looks great but it's sounds like a 50cc they should make the engine's raw like they use to do, all noise pollution ballocks, that's what speedway was all about the noise and smell, bring it back 500cc engines now sound like 50cc, yes going faster without the raw and with all these new synthetic oils, you dont really get that burning smell, it's ripped the heart of speedway, walking towards the stadium and listening to the bikes warm up, it was never broken, so there was no need to fix it.
Should have said have been to meetings all over the country with my mate, and neigbour GARRY STEAD.....had some great times, always last to leave the bar after the meeting, he would have two pints of cider with ice, I would have about five pints, made some great friends from Hull when at craven Park, STEADY AS YA GO. ...GED

By the looks of that, replace Shale with Sand and you can race all year round, however I know that a track tried that in the past, Bristol? and the racing was always said to be awful because sand doesn't bind like shale does.
I don’t think it would be much good, it’s got not grippy, just kinda saps the power, would be cool as a 1 off but that’s about it I think
Which beach is this? I used to go to Pilling Beach but that was 20+ years ago.

@@danbewleyDITV Way back when, we only had one of the Unike filters and you could not get enough oil in the sponge to keep sand out without choking the engine. Before that we had tin fashioned into a funnel and the filter was a pair of your girlfriends tights.

I live at the beach in So.California .We have a place out in the desert we used to go and get our spin on the old dry lake bed. They call it "El Mirage", maybe you've heard of it ? I said you were going to be a G.P. Rider, maybe even the Champ one day when I first saw pictures of you and watching some races on YT. Where are we going ? To the Tippy Top ! (The Beatles). @@danbewleyDITV yeah, it's just a Dry Lake Bed out in the desert. It get's super windy and it's gritty so everybody trips on it getting in the Carby, but that's what an Air Filter is for right ? I just put a Ladies Nylon stocking over the K&N, Foam might be the ticket IDK. Cool Man. Hope to see you over here in the future, that would be nice. Crump came over when he was Champ and he practiced during the day and he was f***ing on fire come Race Time. Huge jump in class. I actually have it on DVD because it was that impressive. It was NOR-CAL, Auburn,CA. were Luke Becker is from. Another rider from So-Cal and I took hoses out to the desert and measured and tried to make it like our tiny little Costa Mesa and did that all day and then had some Chronic and just had fun doing Big circles like that and donuts and it's so smooth we were doing one handed full lockers. It was good fun.We had this Monster Invitational thing back in 2012.13,14 and Gollob couldn't even ride on it because it was too small for him. Crazy huh. Scott Nicholls won it one year. Fast Freddie , Hans Andersen both super nice guys as was Antonio Lindback and he was spectacular until he had a pretty spectacular Wipe Out, luckily he was fine but he did back off just a little after that. Chris Harris came over, Magic Janowski, got to see Darcy Ward ride which was very very nice.I think you would like Perris and Bakersfield in So.Cal, and Auburn up north. Best of luck this year DB. Get those Gates and hang it out there.BAM-

Do you never get any problems with police or out down northside Dan? I used to go down on my pit bike years ago but always ended up getting moved on by police, still got my bike but no where to ride it 😂
This isn’t north side mate, it at Berlin beach in Germany, police don’t mind there 😅
