A couple of empty bottle of wine....the whole world laughed at this farce, My lit class at SDSU couldn't stop crying.with laughter,....even my Professor had to excuse himself and burst out laughing in the hall.....a Nightmare for ABC..never again...and there's Geraldo, live, giving exciting, gripping, rhetoric....never has a prime time show on TV layed a bigger egg...I'm laughing now just thinking about it...Google it and see if you can make it through the hour of hot air!

I like Geraldo though to say he has affection for Trump and their friendship and then say but what he did on January 6th was unforgivable. My all time favorite Geraldo moment was when he exposed the horrors of the mental asylums that we had prior to the 80's. I think that honestly is a far greater moment for this guy than any other dumb moment on air.
What I do for a living is actually what introduced me to that piece. And it is horrendous what he uncovered about how people were treated in these places at the time.
I would suggest if you would like to look it up....steel yourself first. Remember this piece was done over 45 years ago. It is hard to imagine we allowed this kind of treatment of folks with mental/physical disabilities not that long ago.

After all the issues and outcomes from the past years, encouraging a "Pardon" for Trump, tells me Rivera did not learn anything from what has happened from the GOP and right wing cohorts. You want the country to move on, to move forward, then folks that commited harmful acts need to face the consequences of their actions (or inactions) and be held to account. So we all learn that no one is above the law. Otherwise, something worst than Jan 6ths is in our future. I really wish folks like Rivera would wake up and see reality.
That reminds me of all the people who said surrendering in Vietnam would cause the rest of Asia to fall like dominoes. Life isn't that simple, and LOTS of people are above the law, from former Presidents to everyone who stole from a Walgreens in NY or California in the past 3 years.

If anyone watched the segment that put the end to Geraldo being on The Five was because Gutfeld went after him so hard for him being pretentious. The discussion was on EVs and Geraldo brought up about not needing the 7500 rebate on a EV Bentley. Geraldo was an investigative reporter long ago. He helped to get The Willowbrook State School closed. He’s done some good work. His daytime show in the late 80s and 90s was entertaining, but by no means intellectually compelling. I for one watch many different networks and fact check for myself. The View is very biased. They are also very out of touch with the common people’s needs. I really hope that the Views viewers are not being misled to vote a certain way because of how these very rich ladies see things.

I think you can probably rest easy that there aren’t very many of ‘the View’s’ viewers, being “misled to vote a certain way“-of course, there will be a ‘few’- but, in a wide field of misleading political views, they are not even in the running.
I would think another reason for getting the axe was he just seemed out of touch. He's 80 and like Biden he has good moments and bad moments. He looked good on The Cackling Hens but I saw lots of times on the Five where he seemed unprepared on the topic de jour. Can't blame him, at 80 why would he still care the same as he would have 40 years earlier.
