Thank my British friend. That was so much simple than the other guy..not saying who. But you know. lol. Thank you for making life easier us Smartcar owners. 🙏 ciao
Thank you! Very useful video. I may buy a 2007-2008 Smart For Two. It’s been stopped from a long period maybe 1 year. But it has about just 60-65.000 km (+/- 40k miles). I hope it would start at first try, so I can drive it to the garaje and do it a full inspection. I’ll watch all the videos and try to do do some of the simplest maintenance by myself on the future. Thank you again!
It is a pity that more people don't take the time to subscribe. I"m on the other side of the world with my little Smart four two 2012 Passion. I really appreciate your excellent videos. The gear knob on my gear shift is loose. I suspect that it is a critical component as the automatic selector button is on the side of the knob. Any ideas on how to secure it would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great videos please
Thank you! On European cars, the gear knob is push/pull fit (without pressing button while removing or refitting) but I’m aware that US models and possibly other export markets have a different set up, so it is difficult to advise. Purely at a guess, maybe it has been off before and something plastic may have broken, hence it being loose.
Is it possible to adjust the number of kilometers/miles? I have a Smart 451 2007 model (non MHD) and it always show me 14km. They are too much for the oil I use.
Hey, all good! That’s a difficult one. I wonder if US cars have a different procedure. There are a few items that seem to differ from European vehicles. Hard to say without seeing the car. I’m back in the US again later in the year but it’ll be California which probably isn’t much help!
@@IHYDRO718I Yes I remember! One day I’ll visit NY. All I would say on the procedure is that you have to do the whole sequence pretty damn quickly. Good luck with it!
Of all the useless videos and forum posts out there this was the only one that worked. Many thanks!!

Hey how are you? Hope all is well. I’ve done everything on youtube and nothing has worked. Can you suggest anything?
