- The IWC is larger than ever in 2021, with more people than ever having access to it. From Twitter to Instagram. There are online wrestling communities everywhere. However that was not always the case. Back in the 2000s, when the internet was just starting to explode. Wrestling fans found themselves on Fourms. Discussing wrestling. Lets go back to the 2000s and see what the IWC was like back in the day. Did they still complain about everything? How well did their predictions hold up?
Lets find out!

“Everyday I’ll go on Twitter” that’s your first mistake there
Hard to disagree.
Making a Twitter account is a bigger mistake that will tramitize you
Could have not said it better my friend.
I’m 15 (almost 16) and I’m glad that I still don’t have twitter😂

_Ah hell yeah!_
that person that predicted when the WWE network would happen on the exact ppv and on the exact year. sometimes i think time travelers are real.
Same there is no way predictors are that accurate unless they have a voice from within..
@@frankcouturier4686 it's called guessing

“Austin never came back and he never will” lmao
He'll be eating his words in his next reaction episode looking back at predictions
Just imagine people in like 2030 saying stuff like, "Man, Barron Corbin is one of the greatest of all time, his heel work and in ring style was perfect. Easily one of the best heels in that era," only to see us in 2021 talk about how boring we find him etc.
Man let's not jinx it
Eh I don't hate Baron Corbin. He used to be alright before he shaved his head. He really dropped off though after his "feud" with Kurt Angle.
@@tornadophantom4027 honestly for me he was there, the King gimmick doesn't really fit him though which is why I think he has kinda been eh as of late. Some people did the King gimmick pretty well like Booker T & Harley Race but Barron? Nah
I will give you ring style thing as he is talented in ring
@@aryanverma8344 I agree, he just needs a new gimmick but considering he lost his crown, this may be the end of the King Corbin gimmick which is good as it doesn't really fit him
“Still disappointed the fiend didn’t attack those cancer patients?” Like what? Can you repeat that again?
"NUCLEAR hEaT"
He didn't attack the skin heads
I've always been curious of how they reacted back then.
Some people predicted a lot of things. I remember seeing predictions of HBK vs Taker at a Wrestlemania. There were also so much TNA fanboys especially during the Benoit tragedy
Bro, you need to see how the IWC reacted to the Chris Benoit situation. It was CRAZY
@@TheNewMeme_ how they reacted

the fact he said Austin will never come back, little did he know Austin came back for Wrestlemania 38 2022
I remember in 2002 I went on a few wrestling forums and almost every post was about Sting. Everyone was thinking Sting was going to randomly debut on a PPV and attack Undertaker.
I think that was everyone's dream match at the time undertaker vs sting
Even up until WM in 2011
it's a shame it never happened. The 3 people on the forum would've gone crazy
Their last opportunity was at WrestleMania 31. Both active on the roster, and both performed the same night.
I remember the "Sting vs undertaker" forums and how sting should be booked back then too
The WWE Network prediction is just so crazy, that person must be a time traveller or something, no way you predict something like that so accurate
Especially in 2003, where services like Blockbuster were still on the rise.
I swear wrestling fans nowadays are so fickle 😂😂😂
Man we should just say wrestling fans in general are just fickle
Always have been
Daniel Bryan was right
So right. It gets so toxic sometimes that it makes me want to quit being a wrestling fan sometimes lol. It’s just a matter of avoiding those annoying people.

Yep even Orton admitted he wasn't ready.
I mean, tbf anyone who watched wrestling in 2003 knew that Orton was primed for a mega-push.

Austin did come back😂
To be honest.
I think in the year 2000, 2003 etc. I doubt they knew that guys like HHH, Undertaker, Angle were in like their early, middle, or late 30s, so it makes sense why some people thought they'd still be there by mania 30 (which they were.)
But dang whoever predicted Cena deserves praise lol
I don’t think anyone thought Cena would get as big as he did. I do remember seeing him against Angle and thought “oh, he’s interesting”. In a way, his intro really predicted his future: if nothing else, he’s got heart
@@elsassypineapple only Dave Meltzer and Jim Cornette predicated that Cena would become huge
10:02 well that aged like milk
2000 feels like an eternity ago and that makes feel so old.
Mitchel Kaufman's nightmare match between Rock and Hogan became one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time.
It's nice to see the online wrestling community from 2000s.
I was a part of a wrestling forum group called All Wrestling Talk a long time ago. We had users from across the globe (namely the United Kingdom), an E-Fed that had 2 shows and even a developmental territory added, and it's created lifelong friendships over the years. In fact Saxon Huxley from the WWE NXT UK brand was a forum user there who we all knew him as Ross, in his earlier wrestling experiences, would give updates on his training and such. Pretty cool time to be a part of the IWC.

The Rock was pretty good in the ring imo. Sure, he wasn't flipping around & whatnot, but he definitely wasn't sloppy in the ring, especially towards the beginning of his career. Also, it seems that he elevated his mat skills soon as he was headed for Hollywood.
I miss the attitude era and ruthless aggression era where there was very little internet and the IWC weren’t super toxic.
@ANDON HOWARD No different than today. The smarks never changed. All likeminded, lol.
The IWC is more toxic and woke than ever
What's wrong with the IWC today is that it's bigger and it's already a general societal trend to be offended over anything so being a sensitive whiner mixed with being a crazy wrestling fan is a baaaad combo

I've been rewatching 98' 99' WWF episodes, and it easy to see why people hated the rock. There is a part of the fanbase that hates anyone who is pushed as the next megastar, it's happened with Hogan, happened with Cena, Orton..
Been waiting for this. I remember reading so much forums in the mid 2000s of people complaining about Cena, Batista, and Lashley
Now everyone wants cena back claim batista is a legend and were demanding for lashley to be champ when he returned

JBL too. People used to call him a snoozefest. Now he is regarded as one of the best bad guys in WWE history.

Rock was pretty good in the ring. Quite athletic for size. Intense, good ring psychology and selling. His matches with Austin, Foley, Angle, Jericho, Benoit and Foley are a testament to that.
Yes, and no. He was good in the ring, but his personality and manarisms carried the day. His selling was abysmal and his offense was 1 note, if you really break it down. He's one of the top entertainers of all time, but kinda a mid in ring wrestler at best.

Nah they were REALLY crazy back then. Especially the toxic ECW fans. Now they’re just crybabies that rant on Twitter about how bad the current product is.
The IWC has never not been toxic with marks

@Mario Walker904 2020 was the peak of wrestling on my perspective and 2021 is even better the heel Roman and his family , so cool
@Mario Walker904 yeah your era had so many classic matches like Orton Vs the undertaker , John Cena Vs JBL in a last man standing match Shawn Vs taker ,Cena Vs umaga in royal rumble and Cena Vs Shawn etc
@Mario Walker904 my era too like undertaker Vs an styles , Cena Vs the fiend , the ladder match for the smack down tag team titles , edge Vs Orton wrestlemania and backlash , drew Vs Roman 2020 survivor series , Daniel Vs Roman fast lane , Cesaro Vs Roman backlash , jey USO Vs Roman hell in a cell and night of championships , drew Vs Bobby , drew Vs Shamus , and so many more .
