Michael Gordon "Mike" Oldfield (born 15 May 1953) is an English musician and composer. His work blends progressive rock with world, folk, classical, electronic, ambient, and new-age. He is best known for his 1973 album Tubular Bells - which launched Virgin Records and became a hit after its opening was used as the theme for the film The Exorcist

I have zero relation to this song via family (no family who listened to it when I was young), I myself was too young when the song was new, yet I absolutely love this music piece. I was introduced to it around 7-8 years ago, yet I still absolutely love it.
It's interesting how the exorcist movie turned this song into something perceived as scary or mysterious/ominous
