If one day intelligent aliens visit Earth and hear this piece by Mike, these visitors will mistakenly think that humanity is great. But in reality, there are only a few humble people who do not live on money and war.
No doubt Mike Oldfield is a genius. It is not just music it is a piece of unique art. I heard Tubular Bells in my teenage time and this was the time hanging up with friends smoking weed and relax together. Today I am 60 and I still listen to it. There is only one difference - today I listen to it without weed 😎

I was born in 1997 this song always makes me cry everyone has so much respect for each other no matter what this is the happyest I've seen everyone be! It's a mixture of old and new merged into everyone dancing I weep everytime I see this. I have a feeling my parents back then would never allow me to to go to Mike Oldfield Concerts back then because they loved me so much but then again how is it I never got to experience this concert but my hearts desire was there and shy in any given moment if I was shown this music "Because I had to listen to rock music". I challenge anyone else to listen to this videoclip of a concert more then me I bet we could get along if we were all dancing there, that includes me! Nothing can replace this feeling its like a meditation with a hug that was there but for me its just a dream ^_^ I bet if they did a concert again I'd spent every little penny even if I had to escape there please come to Prague and make it like back then with all the artists!

I was there about 5 rows back from the stage. Despite being drenched by the rain, the concert was awesome. I have travelled around the UK and Europe watching Mike play and he has never disappointed me.

I must admit that a couple of years after the concert my neck broke and I had a few surgeries and a plate and bone grafts to restore some movement. Been on morphine ever since (20 years) and that plays havoc with some memories. I recall vividly the concert but it is possible I may have the order confused. Still recall how the rain was torrential but I did not give a damn. I don't recall hearing Moonlight Shadow at all, last two songs I recall were Secrets and Far above the Clouds. Weird thing memory.

And even now I´m still totally flashed of this sound(s), this huge band, the tons of instruments / the instruments at all - this performance is one of the best gigs I´ve ever seen / heard - and I´ve seen *a lot* of live concerts. This is possibly the finest peice of live music to come from the 20th century. This is so much more than a group of people playing instruments, when this masterpiece was performed the gods listened. That guitar solo woke sleeping giants 😴

Thank you, YT feed. The memories. I saw him live over 40 years ago in Munich - IIRC, it must have been the tour for QE2. The opening act was Scottish duo called, if my aging memory doesn't deceive me, Battlefield Band. At the end, with half the audience already gone, the hardcore of of us just wouldn't give up - and both B.B. and Mike with band came back and jammed for another half hour or more. Scottish war and drinking songs and ballads with M.O. playing along. One of the best, no, probably the best concert experience in my life.
In lovely memory of my delayed former soldier-body Erik Brink-Vilsen, who introduced me to much Mike Oldfield-music! We during serving military shared 2-man room, at most played music were the masterpieces of Mike Oldfield (Y) :-)
There’s an old cottage perched high up on a hill near my house. That hill is Hergest Ridge, and that cottage was Mike Oldfield’s hideaway. It’s a place steeped in history yet forgotten by time. He must have watched the sun rising up over that hill and captured its spirit with his creative genius.
Back in business guys, this wonder on earth deserves to make the world wide tour by now, from my behalf every single village on this planet if possible, it might help to save lost abandoned and ruined villages that l would love to bring them to life again, the music is just puuuurrfect, sounds like heavenly delight fans, when we used to be such dreamers, we were such innocent kids, do you agree on this? Yeah, what's life worth living if not enjoying such spectacular music happenings again?

Amazing rendition of a great album. TB and TB II are masterpieces imho, but TB 3 is a powerful and energetic album that shines on its own. It's so sad Oldfield has retired from performing and even composing, leaving us with just a glimpse of what TB 4 could've been. I hope he regains confidence and can offer us new and amazing music as he used to in the past. Thanks for sharing this experience!
The dead of the LP was the dead of the great Musicians like Oldfield. So sad, the great LP-Sounds are gone. To here such music on CD is a torture for my Ears.

In my opinion, Far Above the Clouds, when the Bells start to play, this is the most heavy "Drop" I have ever heard in my Life. It's so powerful and definite, like it was always meant to be this way. It's like I'm hearing God. I don't know how to say this.
Of all the versions I like this one the best, in particular the vocals of Pepsi Demacque, Amar, and Rosa Cedron. The are magnificent , the whole piece sends shivers through me.

In my opinion, Far Above the Clouds, when the Bells start to play, this is the most heavy "Drop" I have ever heard in my Life. It's so powerful and definite, like it was always meant to be this way. It's like I'm hearing God. I don't know how to say this.

Of all the versions I like this one the best, in particular the vocals of Pepsi Demacque, Amar, and Rosa Cedron. The are magnificent , the whole piece sends shivers through me.
I love Mike except Pepsi, she doesn't belong to Oldfield's environment.
