You nailed the name well. It is the first inscription from a Swiss tribe. This gives rise to the Latin name for Switzerland, Helvetia. Surprise, it's a Swiss band.
Growler, band founder and mastermind Christian “Chrigel” Glanzmann founded the band in 2002. The basic idea was to combine metal growls and Celtic music. Anna Murphy, the first permanent singer and hurdy-gurdy player, sings here. In 2016, in the middle of recording the next album, she fell out with Chrigel and left the band with two other members. The three found a prog metal band (including hurdy-gurdy):

The recordings are finished with a guest singer and after a long time of improvising and searching, Fabienne Erni takes over the microphone in 2017. With her the goddess Epona is taken up a second time:

Very different styles of music in this song lulu you have folk music combined with metal something similar to wintersun which you and your mother and grandmother donna have reacted to. And my mother likes how you notice the hair and clothes that the band uses.baboom ! Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️

That was the idea when the Growler founded the band. The band doesn't sound so Irish anymore and is more oriented towards the mainland.
Welcome to pagan/folk death metal. Eluveitie is such a great band that are over looked due the style of middle age instruments they are definitely top tier metal band.

If u really liked that I got plenty more from them. The male is there normal singer. She plays the herdy Gerdy and backing vocals. They have alot of songs where she sings like "call of the mountain", and many with him singing. One of the most talented bands out there they have way more instruments they use than was used in this song including a harp in call of the mountain.

The song "A Rose for Epona" by Eluveitie is a mournful song depicting the plight of the Celtic Gauls during the reign of the Roman Empire. The lyrics describe the feelings of despair and helplessness experienced by the Gauls as they witness their lands and culture being destroyed by the Romans. It is an expression of grief and longing for a connection to Epona, the goddess of horses and fertility who was once a symbol of hope for the oppressed Gauls. At the chorus, the singer pleads for Epona to answer them, as if trying to reach out to her for help in vain. The song's message is ultimately one of resilience and strength even among great tragedy, as the Gauls refuse to succumb to despair despite the imminent loss of their home and culture.

@@Gregory...... The Celts were never able to restore their empire. The Romans take over their territories until they become weaker. Then the Germanic tribes destroy the Western Roman Empire and the Germanic Franks take power in the province of Gaul. The province is named after them today: France. Celtic traditions largely disappeared during Christianization. The language has also largely disappeared and only appears as place names and the like. The people have remained and some are trying to preserve as much of their traditions as possible.

The story is the Helvetica Celts made rose offerings to their goddess epona's shrine, protector of horses, foals, also I believe cavalry.
