    Thanks a lot. My laptop was reaching some scary thermals. Now that I have repasted and freed the fans from dust, its faster and more silent

      hello Cleaning dust and replacing thermal paste are equally important:
      1. Thermal paste transfers heat from the chip to the heatsink.
      2. Cleaning dust transfers heat from the heatsink to the outside.
      You are very welcome. Thank you for the comment! We are so glad that our videos or products might be of help!

    Muy buen video y muy bien explicado, por cierto, el DELL tiene mas tornillos que un submarino.

    I changed the thermal paste according to the video, but now the sound from the PC does not work

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Год назад

      There are many reason that can cause a problem with the sound. It is hard to know the best solution for your problem. However, try first checking if there are cables being stuck between components or if there are any loose screws. If the problem persists, leave more comments of contact us.

    The last screw in my heatsink was stripped. So i couldn't apply the thermal paste. What a bummer :(

      We are sorry to hear that. You can try to remove the stripped screw with rubberband or gaff tape on the screwdriver bit. We have a tutorial specifically on this matter on our website. koolingmonster.com/insights/how-to-remove-a-stripped-screw-from-laptop-and-pc-using-only-household-tools

      Hello,
      If you didn't disconnect and discharge the power, the current on the motherboard might damage your computer, which is why it won't turn on.
      due to remote assistance limitations, it's challenging to troubleshoot directly. However, you can try the following steps:
      1. Check if all key components such as the motherboard, power supply, RAM, and GPU are securely connected.
      2. Ensure the RAM modules are properly seated in their slots.
      3. Verify that all power cables are securely connected and properly plugged into the motherboard and other devices.
      4. Clean any internal dust and make sure no excessive dust or debris was introduced during disassembly.
      5. Reconnect the hard drive and data cables to ensure they are correctly connected.
      We also hope that our tutorials and laptop thermal paste replacement kits can assist you. (Heart emoji)

      @koolingmonster  13 дней назад

      After cleaning the dust and replacing the thermal paste, if the computer won't turn on, it is usually due to the following reasons:
      Internal discharge wasn't fully cleared. It is recommended to remove the battery connector and discharge completely before trying again.
      Internal connections are not properly seated. Please unplug and re-plug the connectors.
      We hope our guide can be of assistance to you.
