What’s so interesting about this is when Tucker said “my instinct is NO I don’t want a robot telling me what to do” this guy basically said yeah but once you get all those questions on the table you can unpack it and realize that there is peace in not making all your decisions.
Think about it, isn’t that what the Christian believes? Isn’t that what Gods word says? We don’t have to carry the burden of life Jesus carries it for us, the Holy Spirit makes our decisions and gives us wisdom and discernment?
This guy is trying to create or support artificial intelligence to do for us what God already does.
Why?
I believe it’s bc there is some sort of pride and control involved in the fact that AI was created by man. He said we have been told that God created us but I think what we will find is that we are creating god…..
The natural instinct of humanity is to be guided by a creator. This is the ignorance of humanity to worship gods that we some how create when the true God who created us is present and worthy of our worship. As Ecclesiastes says all is vanity and rubbish and this life is cycles. A perpetually cycle of sin, death, forgiveness, hope, pride and back to sin again.
This is sad to watch!
He says "we can engineer these emotions and reponses' meaning that human experience is science driven. He forgot what consciousness is to begin with.
I don't think he understands the body isn't life itself. It's a product of life.

Who in their right mind would want to be immortal unless you are adamantly opposed to God? Even that aside, why immortal in THIS world?
I myself being a Christian have noticed time and again how all the Christians constantly declare how our physical looks mean nothing and we should focus on our spiritual nature, then proceed to destroy this guy for not being a good looking as Tucker, a celebrity who has a spray tan, a stylist and makeup artist on set. Sure he is pasty white but man he looks buff. Then if slagging his appearance isn't enough they have to make his scientific inquiry and attempt to understand aging tantamount to a moral failing. He's not a theologian! duh. All of his info and related methods free for anyone to access. He decided on a while christian mission in the midst of a poverty stricken country that he would make money and help others. And see, Christians actually hate when someone succeeds at that. Sad but true.
Who would want to cheat death in this wicked world? At this point I welcome it. This tool confirms it, good grief.
He spends all this time trying to achieve eternal life, but in the end he will end up the same way as all the people that don’t receive Christ’s own flesh and blood to actually achieve immortality. This guy does not envy me and I don’t envy him at all. There is no escaping God’s judgment no matter how much money and effort you throw at it.
And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Gosh, glad God created clear minds in those who look to Him. Just to “think” all thoughts are filtered 4-5 times through preconceived notions sounds like insanity to me
You are not your thoughts, you are not your ability to think. You can think whatever you like, argue the toss-whatever, thoughts are clouds…but it’s how you feel, the feelings behind the thoughts that are much harder to shift-they persist.

This is a theological issue for sure. It will be interesting to see where it heads.
With regard to AI, I view it pessimistically, like a ouija board. My parents warned me not to trust guidance from sources unknown, and AI is very much unknown. Just maybe AI can be used as untrusted advice one could consider, but I would say simply do not make the mistake of placing your trust in AI.

He is correct to say that nobody wants to die at any particular moment, and we can all agree on that. As Chrstians we believe we can defend ourselves and do believe in healing. he has definded healing in a different way, tha include life extension. the problem is any particularly long, or even healthy life, it is that the " longevity" model often presented suggest that this is a new kind of moral good: simply not to die. Whereas a long, healthy life devoted to spiritual development, withut fear would not be incommensurate with Christianity. But the longevity itself cannot be considered the goal, merely part of the journey.
This gentleman is not the most logically coherent person that’s been on the show.
