I was took to my 1st game at 4 years old in 69/70 I was too young to appreciate what was Infront of my eyes almost all of the Lisbon lions were still playing as I got older & understood fully just how magical this group of players & manager were football was a level playing field money wise Celtic could hold their own against any club back then infact clubs dreaded been drawn against us big Jock was years ahead of his time the closeness this group of players had was another special bond only broken by the passing away of the bhoys who have will live in Celtic folklore for evermore oh how I wish those days could come back , maybe 1 day soon hail hail
I came into this world celtic , its a very special club .

For me as a Liverpool supporter i just love your club we have history between us but all good , i was up there when we played you after Hillsbrough you gave and kept on giving , i remember after the game i dident even pay for a drink , well friends were forged and now ive got 2 special mates that ill never forget Mr McStein and just Bobby they even came down for my wedding with there wives Lorna and Sandy we love you 2 bits . It now seems inconceivable to think that ten of the Lisbon Lions team were at the club before Jock Stein arrived : only Willie Wallace was recruited , from Hearts , in December 1966 . The majority of the ten players already at Parkhead were vast underachievers . In short , they hadn't won anything prior to Jock Stein taking over as club manager .
