🙌
Loved it Chris X
we definitively do (or I for sure) 🤩
Beautiful work Mr Chatham! Hope you didn't take too long to thaw out.
Thank you Chris. I love your talent. 🥰
Born and raised in Dixie ... Pensacola, FL, to a family of fishermen, carnies, fast talkin' good ol' boys and con men. This song brings me to tears every time I listen to it. Not sure why. But let me tell you something, coming to you from a great grandma's perspective .... Say 'so long' for now .... trust me when I tell you, that you will return to Dixie in your heart, and soul and mind, over and over again, and in your old age you will come home to die, even if you are many, many miles away. The South/Dixie can never truly be left behind. And when you are my age, you will realize why.
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed this original from Tim and Austin and Chatham. Was fun to get to show off Chatham’s guitar skills in this. Appreciate all your support!
Loved it Rob, when are you coming to England ? X
Beautiful video for a great song ❤ thanks for enduring the cold 🙏👏👏👏
That was fire! You all have the most amazing harmonies hands down! Love you and God bless from a TN Home Fry
No. Thank you for a beautiful song. 🦋
Thank you guys, Rob. You have no idea how you guys save my life and sanity every single day.
Absolutely beautiful and heartfelt
Ok. Why doesn't Home Free have a wall full of awards? They are clearly incredibly talented singers and songwriters, and they deserve much larger recognition!
@Rob Lundquist Definitely! Been saving to come see Home Free next time you play here in London, Ontario.
My wife took me to see them last Christmas in Mankato MN. They put this gem in the middle of a set full of covers and hilarious spoofs that showcased their enormous talent. When they played this one though, the place got quiet. I thank my native Minnesotan wife for introducing me to these guys.
I love their covers, but man, their originals like this one really allow us to get to know the guys better. It also shows how immensely talented they are.
What about this: she wouldn't be gone by blake shelton, collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay to take full lead, will used his fuller sounding with ( in the middle, for his rustic) for his tone, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
@@deanmarion5477 😊
@@vivianmorris6562 : glad you to like this song request.
Wow... This has got to be one of your best.
I'm neither from Dixie, nor the South, nor the US, but man, that message hits home. Thinking about all the things from my own culture and my own upbringing I'm not proud of, but which are still a part of me and undoubtedly made me who I am. But there are those things that I can and need to leave in the rear view mirror as I move on towards a better and brighter tomorrow. This may be what growing up is really about. Knowing your roots, where you came from - but eventually, we need to leave the nest and learn to fly.
As a lifelong (60+ years) musician (guitar, bass) I cannot begin to express just how impressive this really is. Thank you gentlemen!
Can we just say how beautiful Chris' guitar playing was in this song 🎵? He's magnificent on anything with strings. 😍 This song from the 1st time I heard it made me wish I was from the South, but I'm totally the other side of the map. Beautiful HomeFree, Jeffrey, Chris and all the others who made this possible. Loving it.🥰
What about this: It's All The Same To Me by billy ray cyrus, we want Austin Brown to take full lead, will used his control of his grit and rustic with mixed of mostly higher and some lower register, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
Everyone is soooo good! This song is PERFECT for Chase's smokey voice. I can't understand why this isn't the most popular group in the world.
What about this: Dim Lights, Thick Smoke And Loud, Loud Music by daryle singletary, we want Austin Brown to take main lead with Rob Lundquit ( he will be in harmonic and melodic unison) high harmony by: Adam Chance and collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
Me too. It is my favorite
Damn! When these guys aim for the funny bone, they hit dead center. When they aim for the feels, they hit dead center. Even if you never lived in Dixie, you can feel the vibe as you put your hometown in the rearview. A difficult emotion beautifully expressed.
What about this: Speechless by Dan + Shay
OH! This song really hits home with me. I'm in tears, listening for the second time to recover enough to comment. I was raised in a military family that moved every 18 months until I was 12 years old. The strange thing was we kept returning to Harker Heights Texas, the place I remember as my first childhood memory. This made me believe we were from Texas. How my heart yearns for that place. Been gone so long, 51 years to be exact and I still call it home. ❤️😥
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. Hello
The Rupp no-monica is so subtle and pretty in this one.
Everything you guys produce is just a pleasure to listen to. It's an honour to hear you sing.Thank you so much!
Home Free you are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Love this song!!! Hello to all the Home Fries! Sending love to everyone from Texas!!!
What about this: Just Happens That Way by jason michael carroll, we want Tim Foust to take full lead, will used his with power of his chest and his mixed of mostly lower and some higher register, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Adam Chance will used his low baritone low notes for the bassline.
Home Free, in what seems to be dark days anymore, you fill my soul with joy. Beautiful.
Hello Suzanne. How are you doing?
The harmony’s are just perfect one of your best 🙏🙌
I love this song! Can't help but give Chris props. Dude can tear up a guitar. The boys are Ad always AWESOME!
Now is the time to say that. Bravo Home free.
Dang it y'all made me cry. I feel this so much? Born and raised in the south but moved up north about 7 years ago. While I do love my new home I am still proud of where I'm from. Never thought I would leave the south and if I'm being honest I think one day I will probably return, but for now I will enjoy the experience of living in Delaware.
Beautiful song as usual and I love that Chris is playing guitar in it for something different. Please keep these beautiful and meaningful songs coming. We fans need them so very much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Another masterpiece. Really so beautiful. Great lead from Tim and Chance. The amazing guitar playing of Chris Chatham that just belongs to this song. Then Adam's modest but great no-monica and the background vocals round it off completely. All this in a wonderful environment. Top!
What about this: Things You Can't Live Without by Chris Janson (with Travis Tritt), as Chris Janson by Adam Chance to take main lead with collaborate with Scott Hoying from Penatatonix as Travis Tritt, Adam Chance will used fuller sounding with bunch of rustic with control of ( just right) for his gritt and Scott Hoying will used his chesty and blend with the lead and with mini solo ( on/ off) collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay will used ingressive phonation for the trap beats with main beatboxer by Adam Rupp high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline
Bless you guys...
I hope Dixie is a friend and not a location..🙏...I'm southern and though you have folks from other areas of the States in your group..well..I'd never give up Dixie...
So Long Dixie..as usual talent and taste...I listen to your music daily..and you bring joy and laughter to this 70 year old...keep doing what you do..wherever you do it from...
Don't Laugh At Me with Mark Wills and now Chris on the acoustic guitar..perfect...
Your Fries can never thank you enough...
Good Health and Love..🙏...🌿🌿🌿
This REALLY needs to play on radio stations across the country! More please!
This Song will be played on German radio on Sunday.
How can we make that happen?!?
@@urbancornbread5500, the only way I can think of is a fan request campaign. Since their music is put out independently, they don’t have a big name label to push their music on the radio.
@@kristindunstan172 I will see what I can do. A small town country radio station may be a good place to start. It's sad what the music industry has become.
What about this: Done by Chris Janson, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used chest and chest fry for the bassline.
I love the music and the message hit home with me. I left A la at 18. Only a week in Chicago I signed myself up for college and rode the el train by myself. The South gave me love , it challenged me and gave me room to grow. Be proud of those hometown roots. Thanks for the song sharing it with all of us.
Another absolutely beautiful song sung by these Beautiful Amazing Gentleman. Thank you Home Free for bringing us Home Fries more of your beautiful beautiful Music 🎼🎼🎶

I’m proud to live in Dixie. Alabama girl through and through. I stand for right and fight against what’s wrong.
Sitting in my college dorm all alone, listening to this aloud. Just got here from my home downstate and finished a 5-hour drive all by myself.
I’m 20, almost 21.. it’s my 2nd year up here.. and I’m still homesick. I already miss my parents, my little brother, and my grandpa. March isn’t so far off.. but man do I realize how much I miss home when hearing this song. Tears.
I hope everyone in this wonderful channel’s family remembers that somewhere in the world there is someone that will care for them and offer a helping hand. Don’t let this world change you too much, and try to smile whenever you can. Things can always get better.
I hope you reach out when the lonely gets rough. It gets better.
Senior here, graduating college in a few months. I’ve learned to look at it as a wonderful reflection of how much I love my family when I get homesick. I have a beautiful family with my parents and 6 siblings and I miss each and every one of them every day. The homesick doesn’t go away, but you do feel less sick about it. Reach out, video call, visit, and each time you go back it’s better than the last. So happy you are only 5 hours away! I am 16 hours right now and I was also in a different country last semester. It’s good to be home.
God, I remember my time away from home. I remember wanting to leave all of it behind only to find that I missed it so much. Grass being always greener and all that. As a young person, listen to the words of an old southern man. Change is inevitable and it can be very good. The key is the pathway to change and why it was made. The change for change's sake that I was seeking was a fool's errand. The changes I've made as I've learned and grown and experienced more of the world are the changes that matter, and it doesn't take away from who you are, but instead builds upon it. The TL;DR is strive to be better than who you are now, not just different cause different doesn't mean better.
Adam Rupp just KILLIN it on harmonica lately!!!!!! How in the world do they get better and better??????????❤❤❤
This song needs radio airplay asap! It's soooo beautiful!
It will be played on German radio on Sunday.
What about this: Never Had A Reason by Josh Turner, we want Tim Foust to take full lead, high harmony by:Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Adam Chance will do low baritone low notes for the bassline.
What a beautiful song. As always Home Free has taken words & harmony & made them heart felt. May God continue to bring you blessings.
What about this: show you off tonight by lee brice, collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay to take full lead, will used his glottis phonation for his placement of the tongue mixed of thick and thin for fuller sounding with rustic undertone, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest for the bassline.
Man, this one's amazing, isn't it? I just listen to it again and again. The harmonies are tight and accurate, as per the norm. I believe it's a miracle that these men found each other and sing so beautifully together. I've seen them in concert three times, and they just keep getting better. May they continue on this path for another three or four decades. Minimum. P.S. Chris Chatham is a joy to see and hear. Can't wait to see 'em live again.
What about this: Boys round Here by Blake Shelton
I love Home Free and their his is along with their vision and passion, however, DIXIE ain't a going away. Neither are the South's values.
The South's will RISE again 🤠
Such a gorgeous song. The harmonies are exquisite. I have listened 4 times in a row this go round.
Right...?
I can't get over how well this was arranged and sung. There's something amazing about this that is somehow magical.
Stellar, as usual. Cheers --> guitar & 'harmonica'
I am from Kentucky since before the nation was founded. Those Dixie roots run deep and true holding fast. I live in Indiana but my mountains call for me. Leaving for good is unimaginable. Thank you guys for putting those feelings into such beautiful song. Chris guitar adds the perfect touch.
Hello Diana how are you doing today ?
Long live Dixie!
Totally agree!!
Tim and Chance are Kindred spirits..... They both sounded soooooo good in this one!! Well done boys, well done!
What about this: make it a good one by brothers osborne, collaborate with Geoff from Voiceplay to take full lead, will used his faint echoes of darker tone but with his vocal folds blend with his vocal passages with balance of rustic ( just right) for his tone high harmony by: Adam Chance, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used his mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
Always the best 😊
Oh .... these smooth guitar sounds .... Beautiful background and beautiful song ....
Now what? Invent words to explain you?????? Ummmmm, Home Free Fries outta this world fantastic???? Yep!!!!!!!! 😊❤❤❤
Goodbye to my old stomping grounds - it’s time to move on. Even when it hurts.
Thank you, Home Free, for this heartfelt song. Gorgeous video too. And Chatham’s guitar complemented the tune.
❤ WOW- you boys sure know how to tug at the heartstrings! Absolutely beautiful!
Chris Chatham's guitar on this video is simple but brilliant, and the vocals are, as always, so beautiful they can bring you to tears. And the backdrop. . . Stunning!
@Rob Lundquist is that you Rob? No blue checkmark. I'm confused.
How in love have I fallen with you guys ❣️ 😁? There's a thin line between my favorite genre, and 'Country'. Love blues, love folk, love just under this side of the line country. My mother was the biggest lover of music, (especially Country!,) of anyone I ever knew besides me and my kids. I'm in my sixties now and my mama is gone but she used to blast me out of bed every morning of my life with oooold school country in a little box radio alarm clock. She raised 6 music lovers all on her own in the sixties. We were poor but we had music. I REALLY LOVE YOUR WORK 🎶 My grandson and I listen to you every day. THANKS FOR LETTING US BE HOME FRIES. All our love🏡
Have loved Home Free since The Sing Off! Have seen you guys twice! Love your music!
I'm so glad I taught you so much. Remember the good times, forgive me my faults, and remember that the best way to honor me is to build a bright future.
You guys are my favorite , and in my book you are the greatest of all time, BUT, this hurt. I can’t let my whole history and my families and friends history of Dixie,(southern Utah’s Dixie) go. There was NEVER EVER any put down of any humans of any ethnicity involved in the Dixie name. I have relatives named Dixie, and now I live in Washington state and we have a former governor named Dixie. Your singing of this song is great as always, but I will always be a girl from Dixie and proud of it.
Beautiful.
This is such a beautiful and heart felt song and Chris Chatham plays a beautiful guitar. Another killer video.❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is a beautiful warm touching song about Minnesotans leaving their southern roots.
Three of the five are from the south.
OMG..i belly laughed at the irony in ur comment...well played
Love! Glad that Adam Rupp gets air time!! Yay!!❤️
Been a lot of places; lived in a lot of places. I always come back home to Alabama, though.
Chance's voice...made for a song like this...
Born in, and a faithful citizen of, Dixie! If you've never experienced the Old South, you'll never understand the absolute devotion to the Southern way of life, and you're poorer for it.
Oh Adam...harmonica heaven back there..so pretty! Nice job Tim, Austin and Chatham. It's a beautiful song. You guys just keep proving how talented you are. Just amazing stuff all the time. You guys are just the best. I could nerd about you guys all darn day..but I gotta go ...Great job...another Home Free Favorite.
Rupp. Always on top and tearing it up. Rappers hate you. We love you!
MyFavorit Song from the Album. 😘😘😘😘😘

🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉
Beautiful❤
I've never left Dixie and I never will.
You guys are awesome!
Thank you for surfacing some deep feelings I didn't know were in my heart. I love the gentle way you include the gratitude for what was given and the clear boundary for where you are headed.
Snake charmers the dissonance is beyond
Having been born and raised in the South, then uprooting our family and moving out west almost five years ago, this one hits very close to home. Love it!
Loved seeing at the concert in Canton, OH
I heard 2 different "messages" in this song. One was someone needing to leave the place they've always felt/known to be their Home because life involves change & growth.
The 2nd message is that the person/people have grown enough (personally, emotionally, ethically, etc.) that they realize what they grew up with, and always thought of "Home" - is no longer the way the person thinks/believes and they have to leave to be true to their self & be happy. Leaving because they outgrew the attitude(s) of the town.
Either way: Beautiful Song! Love it!!
So, so touchingly, perfectly beautiful. I LOVE the addition of Chris' artful guitar.
There aren't enough words to cover this beautiful song. Took my breath away. Thank you, gentlemen for such a masterful performance.
What about this: Someone To Share It With by rodney atkins, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used his fuller sounding with edge of balance of rustic and his vocal folds and playing with vocal passages, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
We always say the same thing after another one of your songs; "THAT was SOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!"🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
I'll stay in dixie roll tide from sweet home AL.
Wow! I loved this song. I'm a southern boy and that made me tear up. I'm talking this up to everyone I know.
Be of good cheer. "So long" lacks the greater permanence of a "goodbye "
This needs to be on the radio NOW. I absolutely love this.
What about this: Born Here Live Here Die Here by luke bryan, collaborate with JourneyDay to take full lead, will used his rustic with playing with his vocal folds with his vocal passages, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
trop belle cette chanson et adam rupp il m'impressionne avec son harmonica joué avec sa bouche bravo a vous
Thank you all , sooo beautiful ❤
I like the way this song sounds, and y'all do such an awesome job I love the way y'all's voices work so well together, however I will NEVER EVER say goodbye to DIXIE.
If that bothers anyone GET OVER YOURSELF.
GOD bless y'all and keep up the great work
Beautiful harmony, great song. Guy's you never disappoint. Love it
Oh my Lord we need a song like this.. Thank you Guys for once again telling it plain and simple. Love you guys never change boys😀
( MUST DO, Home Free) what about this: Goodbye Says It All by Blackhawk, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, complex harmony: collaborate with Cesar de la Rosa from Voiceplay and Scott Hyoing from Penatatonix blend with the lead, main high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
I will forever live in Dixie land
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. Hello
Beautiful song…peaceful guitar….and soothing human harmonica….life would be “unfinished” without music!
Love this song. I heard it in their concert in October 2022. I never get tired of listening to Home Free and I hope I get another chance to see them live.
Guys! I found you on the plane taking me to Vietnam and since, I can't stop listening to all of your songs. Love your voices! Just amazing! Thank you from Italy ;-)
Maybe I'm over thinking this song, but is this a literal "farewell" to the mythologized version of the Confederacy? Because if so, that's amazing! Also, beautiful song.
Tim just doesn't quit... none of them do.. and the silver IS SEXY.
Are we sure Adam didn't sneak a harmonica in? :D He is so talented. You literally can't tell the difference in sound.
What about this: forever after all by luke combs, collaborate with Scott Hoying from Penatatonix to take full lead, will used his both of his register of mixed and chest with mixed of half and half of lower and higher register with much gritt and kickback of rustic for his tone, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used his mixed of growl and chest fry for the bassline
That last deep “SAY” from Tim. Something EXTRA special about it!!!!
I heard a hint of "America" in the vocals. One of my all time best groups from the 70's. Well done guys!!
Absolutely Beautiful! God has blessed all of you with those amazing voices.1st song I ever heard you sing and looking forward to so many more!!
Yes. The one true deity, the Flying Spaghetti Monster has blessed them arbitrarily with talent.
Certainly has nothing to do with hard work and experience...
Goosebumps from Europe! What a great song ❤️
Love the song. For the love of God it’s a song. Just enjoy it.
Never a question of the emotion put into each and every song that HF does❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
What about this: all the pretty girls by kenny chesney, collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay to take full lead, will used his mixed of glottis and pulmonic phonation to blend different pitches with different frequencies, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used his low of the lowest undertone of growl with mixed of chest and chest fry blend with growl for the bassline.
From the bottom of this Georgia girl's heart, thank you. Sitting here crying because I didn't realize just how much it did hurt until this song. Bless y'all.
WOW WOW WOW WOW!
Beautiful. Love it!
Just saw them last night in Hurricane. AMAZING, vocals, beatbox solo, total show!!!!!!!. All vocal, using only a loop machine.
Bought their newest album. Would see them again.
I'm 70 years old and never lived south of Indianapolis Indiana. My family came to America from Germany in 1928 so frankly the north south split has no emotional influence on me. This song gives me hope for the future of America. There is much that is strong and admirable in "country" culture, but also parts of it based on Jim Crow that are repulsive to many both in and out of the south. This song reflect what I hope is the new country culture and the "new south". Take what is good, acknowledge the evil of the past and move forward. This is hard and painful to do, ask any German.
I first learned about home free after seeing the video "everybody walking this land" during lock-down and been a home fry ever since. I finally got the chance to hear them in person at the Indiana State Fair. One more item off my bucket list.
The Germans seem to have learned this lesson faster than certain Americans.
love it
I love home free they are awesome singers i am your big fan!!!!!!
Another great song.
I've had to leave a place I loved.
To start a new life.
It was sad, but it was what I needed.
Life gives us choices, sometimes they are hard, at first. But making those hard choices, brings you greater happiness.
What about this: Dream You Never Had by Thomas Rhett, collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay to take full lead, will used his glottis phonation mixed of thin and thick based on his raspy with his little rustic undertone, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used his mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
