- Amy and her team took a big risk on this sequence, They broke the "pre-formated shots" of sitcoms and got a huge result...
The lines, the performances, the camera moves, the lights, the emotions, everything jut falls into place to get this amazin result, hardly seen on TV! This is in my opinion a master piece of story telling, direction, camera work and editing!!! 👌👌👌👏👏👏
I do not own any of this video contence, all the rights belong to WARNER BROS - Развлечения
This is the BEST scene in the whole show. From so many points of view. I LOVE IT!!
It's a master class!!
Ikr lol
Yep
Yesssss! What Emily said about Mrs Huntsberger 😂
Agree!!!!!!!
"Rory was going through something terrible!"
Rory got told 'no' from someone, Lorelai.
That's not true. Well, yes she was told no but also it was an attack to her identity and her self image, I could imagine how worthless one can feel when that happens. What I didn't like is how she handled things, she acted like a spoiled entitled rich kid.
@@josueperalta321 it was constructive criticism not an attack. She made it out like it was an attack but it wasn't. He explained why he thought what he did. And we do see with time despite the great opportunity she had, rory didn't make it which proves mithum was right all along.. she didn't have what it takes to be in journalism. She lacked basic professionalism as well and lorelai always blaming others for rory's mistakes didn't help either it was always either Jess' or Logan's fault Saint rory could do no wrong. 🙄
@@Kashish4Eijaz yep. Too bad that the self obsessed girl didn't get what she wants
@@Kashish4Eijaz But it wasn’t constructive either. Mitchum straight up told her “she didn’t have it” and that “she’d make a good assistant.” He didn’t tell her how to improve or what she needed to do. Journalism is a difficult career to succeed in and that comment was like a reality check for her and it gave her a bit of an identity crisis.
@@chelseac288 so what? I just graduated college and this is what happens when you do the bare minimum in your internships. If you don’t go beyond your responsibilities, your boss won’t think you’re passionate or committed. It’s not any different for Ivy League students. You either push through the criticism or choose something else.
Colin and Finn totally stole those picture frames... Remember what Logan said about them stealing stuff from Rich peoples houses as a prank!
The best scene in the show and easily one of the best in television history tbh.
Totally agree... All things (acting, direction, editing, etc, etc) just flow!!!!
“Colin and Finn did not steal your pictures”
Except that Colin and Finn would absolutely do something like this. The Life and Death Brigade often pulled stunts like this.
I didn’t buy a plane! I LOOKED AT IT!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
_"I can look at a plane if I wanna look at a plane!"_ 😀
The thing is Emily is right. How rory behaved was terrible but of course her mother cant let her learn a single lesson
that's Emily and Richards doing too not just Lorelai
Man this camera back and forth, the fancy house, the yelling and Emily looking like Lucille Bluth makes me feel like I’m watching Arrested Development rather than Gilmore Girls haha
Never noticed but yeah...
Emily being in every fight says so much.
“WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, BUYING AN AIRPLANE?!!”
“I DIDNT BUY IT, I LOOKED AT IT!”
“WHAT WERE YOU DOING LOOKING AT A PLANE?!”
“I CAN LOOK AT A PLANE IF I WANNA LOOK AT A PLANE!!”
“HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH”
the best part 🤣🤣🤣
My god this fucking family lmao. Best scene in the series
To me this is the best scene of the whole series. So real, with the alternating between fights and normal conversation and even laughter. This is what healthy relationships look like, even when they are hard and even when you completely disagree. The problem is when people stop discussing and start assuming and blaming.
I miss Edward Herrmann aka Richard Gilmore. The Gilmore Girls revival wasn’t the same without him.
It would've been sooo much better with Edward in it!!!
@@chris.dav_8333 tell me about it.
@@alanafowler3024 imagine Rory facing Richard or Lorelai having her revelation in Fall but with Richard alive!!!
Colin and Finn would DEFINITELY have stolen pictures
oh yep!
Wasn't that a Life and Death Brigade thing? Steal from one house and plant it at the next they visit? I remember Logan with a lighter at the Gilmore's.
Sorry Rory… the Grandmother was right about the pool house / leaving a note thing.
Same thing Lorelai did.
@@Surfer041 except Lorelai left a note and HAD AN ACTUAL REASON to Leave.
@@halyketarrant she was in labor
@@Surfer041 I’m referring to the second note, the one who hurt her parents, the one after she left with little rory. But she had a reason, that wasn’t a life she wanted for herself or her child. Rory was just a brat and she left for that reason only.
Rory wasn’t living in the pool house tho. Emily moved her in to the main house right next to her and Richard’s room like she was a child and not 21.
i LOVE richard defending his wife especially since they recently got back together 💜💜💜
He really love her so much!!
Both the best scene in the series and one of the greatest scenes of any show ever.
Felt like years of drama building up.
Yeah, totally agree!!! Definitely top 3 of best scenes- sequences ever!!!
ayo what u doing here 💀
"So how's Luke?" "He has a kid." says Lorelai as Richard stops himself from drinking the drink. Hilarious.
It's kinda hard and at the same funny...
"Sooo hows luke?" "He has a kid" 😂😂😂😂😂😅
It’s like they had ten drafts for how the family would work things out and the director said you know what?? Let’s do them ALL xD
I want to see this scene from the maid's perspective.
STAHHHHHPPP
Which maid lmao
@@gaymer07 Yeah, Emily probably fired the first one before dessert.
@@Silver_Owl mango and passion fruit doesn’t taste the same, so yes I guess the person who made dessert was fired before or after dessert.
One of the best written scenes I watched. it was just brilliant.
Totally Agreee!!
“We are missing two picture frames” oh I love Emily!!
Cocktail waitress. Emily’s version of the C word. 😂♥️
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS AND THINKING IT WAS ICONIC AND SO PROFOUND
Had they supported Lorelei instead of going behind her back this wouldn’t have happened.
If Rory didn’t throw her life away a long time ago this wouldn’t have happened
@@korijohnson9377 she didn't throw her life away. You never took time of for something or made stupid decisions. Are you that perfect then a non fiction character.
I loved this scene. There was so much potential to evolve, unfortunately they did not.
Yeah I think the same!!
Thumbs up for the dinner argue camera man
Had Christopher and Lorelai been married when she got pregnant they would've been the divorce by the time Rory was sixteen or at least separated.
I think when rory was 1... He wasn't a mature person at all!!!
@@chris.dav_8333 indeed
more like 5 or 6
neither of them are
@@chris.dav_8333 immature yes but I don't think he'd give up on lorelei that fast. He was always crazy about her and while I don't think they'd make it anywhere near sixteen years I think he'd really fight it even when the relationship is clearly dead.
This scene could have won an Emmy (not sure if it did)! Best scene of the entire series!!!!
Agreeeeeee
They did such a good job with this scene
This might be my most favourite scene from the show
Collin and Finn would absolutely steal those pictures.
They definitely stole them.😂
This scene was gold!
Credits to the camera man 🤣
I hope he got some extra cash for this job!! 😂😂😂
Best scene of the entire series! Hands down, thumbs up!
Totally... as I said before, for me, this scene is a master class in audivisual communication... everything just fits!!
My favorite part is the recap of the showdown with Shira and the fact that Richard is LIVING for the jab about Shiraz’s weight!
For me this was the episode that set everything almost exactly where it needed to be again. (Almost)
almost... what is missing? ;)
emily wasn’t looking for an apology from Rory when she said that. That anger runs deeper. Has Lorelai ever actually apologized to Emily for running away?
Why should she apologize. She didn't take anything. Lorelei just wanted a different life for Rory
Yes Lorelai apologize plenty of times to Emily. Has Emily ever apologize to Lorelai for all the shit she does to her. I never once heard her say om sorry.
Lorelei apologized many many times. I remember one time when she said to Emily “I was very young and I was very angry.” And tried to explain to Emily that she left for those reasons and that she was sorry for what she did.
@@lauriecarson6483yep, never once did Emily apologize to Lorelei. In fact, the best we got after she broke up her and Luke was “go back to her, I promise I’ll stay out of it.” She never said to lorelei, “I messed up, I shouldn’t have interfered and I’m sorry.” Instead it was always, I know what is best for you and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure you do what I want even if it won’t actually make you happy.
I love the break for sorbet so much. xD
This whole thing is like the most iconic thing in the TV show but this is the most iconic moment 4:17
Agreeee
I just started rewatching Gilmore Girls with my mom. She's never seen the show before (she thought it was about witches). We've just hit season 6 and I can't wait for her to get to this episode.
😂
Fresh passion fruit sorbet is pretty great, actually.
the BEST GG SCENE ever
Agreeee
I'm team Emily on this one Rory is a user.
I hear ya, but Emily, Richard and to some extent, Lorelai, enabled her to be the “center of the world,” treating her as the victim regardless of who was right or wrong.
3:57 Emily still hasn't let that one go.
I don’t think she ever will
The funny thing is that part of the conversation since Lorelai and Emily were off screen, was taken from the pilot episode way back in season 1.
My favorite scene hands down
This is the most chaotic thing ever 😭💗
And funny!!!
Wow that camera work is really weird but somehow works well with the scene.
OMG I LOVEDDDD THIS SCENE
I loved this sequence. Thanks for posting
One of the best ever made on TV!!
What is talent? THIS!
The best scene ever
Totally Agreeeeeee... Everythign just flows perfectly!!!
this is exactly what happens to our family gatherings , lol
One of my favorite parts
Best scene ever of the show 🤣
I tried to timeshare a plane 🤣🤣🤣
The best part of the season
For me, top 3 of best scenes of the show!!
I just watched this episode last night I love this dinner
Amazing Scene!!
Rory sucked for leaving without saying anything to her grandparents she could’ve have shown him basic gratitude and spoken to them like an adult. They were totally right to be upset. Rory breaking at the first person who didn’t treat her like she was beyond reproach showed how weak willed she was and her mother defending her showed her where she got it from
I think axeactly the same!!
and Emily and Richard sucked for treating Rory like a 5 year old instead of an adult.
This is one of those situations when everyone was somewhat in the wrong...
Rory showed an absolute lack of character by breaking down and running away at the first criticism towards her.
Lorelai proved that she isn't as open as she think she is regarding her daughter's choices and decisions.
Emily and Richard betrayed Lorelai's trust by coddling Rory and give her a escape route for the chance of having a "do-over daughter".
Honestly, in retrospective this is probably the second most frustrating storyline in the show after April´s appearance. SPECIALLY considering the sequel.
@Laura I think Rory needed to cool off before she said thank you. Correct me if I'm wrong. At dinner Rory tried saying sorry to her grandparents but instead of excepting they yelled at her to try again. And didn't you pay attention to Rory when she thanked her grandparents for everything they did for her at her graduation party. did her grandfather ever say sorry for the way they treated her. No they didn't so why get upset at Rory and not at Emily and Richard for being controlling.
Favourite episode! ♥️
This is my favorite scene!
Best scene ever and florever!
Awww...Poor Rory was told she was not the be all, end all of the universe. How did we all survive the tragedy!
Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
WHY does this remind me of my family ?!!
one of my favorite moment !😆❤
This was sooo funny and entertaining🤣🤣🤣🤣
“Cut her some slack she was going through something terrible” She was going through a quarter life crisis. It’s not a traumatic event, its a coming of age stage of life that everyone else goes through. If she cant handle normal growing pains without acting like a brat then its no wonder she turned out the way she did.
You alright dude?
Say you'll never be a parent without saying you'll never be parent
No she got told something a lot of journalists are told in the real world and backed out of journalism like a coward
I think my favorite fight was between Lorelei and Emily. Lol where did that come from it was so random 😂😂😂
The one about marrying Christopher? That was Emily’s go to dig anytime she had a fight with Lorelei. “If you had just married Christopher like we wanted you to… blah blah blah.” Even once Rory was an adult “when are you and the father of your child going to finally make a family for her?”
I don't like how Rory stood behind her mother while being told the truth. Rory is a spoiled brat who cheats.
And lies
The only thing missing was a Lorelai-Rory argument or moment LOL
So funny everyone bashing Rory for being human and making mistakes as she grows proves just how shallow and small minded the entire world truest is. Hope no one ever judges your family or kids for making mistakes. Do agree should’ve went to Harvard I waited the whole time to see what Harvard looks like and got low balled
Thank you! She had lived a pretty sheltered life and when she got to college it was overwhelming for her, the way it is for a lot of people. Maybe most don't have rich grandparents to turn to but plenty of people make mistakes when they are thrown into the 'real world' outside of high school for the first time. Her fumbling and being off course for a while was actually pretty realistic.
Just so you know, they filmed the Yale Scenes in California. Actually most of the show was shot in LA anyway.
It is a mistake if you regret it and learn from it. COnsidering how she went about everything, she made choices, not mistakes. I didn't judge her actions then but her reactions to said actions and her repetition of these "mistakes" showing she has learned exactly nothing.
There is a difference between making mistakes and running away from problems after making a mistake. She's lucky she has a rich grandparents. If she came from a poor background with a scholarship to go to Yale. She probably will be kicked out already. Like what Emily said. "Life is full of hardship". So what if some dumb as* boss told her she doesn't have what it takes to make it in the journalism world? Move on already. She quits because of the most ridiculous reason ever
Making an honest mistake is one thing, but having an affair and breaking up a marriage and refusing to admit it was wrong is another.
Rory! Such a colossal disappointment!
From S4 the writers started to kill her scense!!!
lol and your life is so perfect right.
You probably are the same way
a true family (sarcasm + realistic)
Very “who’s afraid of Virginia woolf” vibe
I need a nap after this!
Perfect example of hot and cold
The Huntsbergers were right.
Rory was too weak!!! But at this time she already had lost most of 50% of her scense!!!
thr Hunzbirgrr wasn't right about Rory.
@@lauriecarson6483 She was already headed downhill as soon as she graduated high school.
@@michaeladkins6 that doesn't mean the Huntzburger was right.
That's hardly fair. Rory worked hard her whole childhood staying out of trouble and getting good grades. She was very sheltered. When she got to college for the first time she ran into the real world. Like a lot of people she struggled in relationships and first jobs. Fact is people make mistakes. Especially young people. They have to go through experiences to grow. While most teenagers have a rebellious faze for Rory that was college. Fact is because she was such a good kid she was on a pedastool but Rory was just a person like anybody else.
gosh how history repeats itself

Well, Friday night dinner in this episode did not go so well.
But it was really funny specially... What ewere you thinking buyinh a plane??? and How's Luke?... He has a kid!!!
good video
Technically Rory isn't a only child. She has a half sister and a stepsister.
Yeah but in the Gilmore World she was the only child!!!!
At that point she was an only child. GG and April were not introduced yet.
@@anibeeyond105 No, GG had already been introduced at this point. She was already about three years old here. I think April had also recently been introduced at this point, but she was not Rory’s stepsister yet. But in this scene, I think they mean that Rory was an only child in the sense that she had grown up as an only child until 16-17 or so years of age, and she didn’t live with GG so she hadn’t learned to share with a sibling the way siblings do if they grow up together. And she was Lorelai’s only child.
Rory was the only child Lorelai not Chris.
@@RainbowPawPrint well then the person should explain it more then what she did.
why cant I remember this scene 💀
Fucking RUclips and netflix got me into this show again Rory should've stayed with Jess although it probably wouldn't have worked. They're like soul mates who aren't together
Rory should've just married Logan
I don't know if she should have, but rejecting his proposal was exactly what it has to happen if we follow the Character's scense!!
@@chris.dav_8333 I mean considering where she is rn she should've just married him
I think it's typical of Amy Sherman Palladino to frustrate us with her main characters' bad decisions.
AryBerry was not a writer on the last season. Don't blame her
OMG, Lorelai is such a good person, good mom, defending Rory after all she did to her.
Honestly I think Lorelai and her parents interchange the mature role with the childish one depending on the situation!!! And here you can appreciate it clearley!!

either im just really dumb or this scene confuses the life out of me.
They fight and make up and fight and make up again.
I don't like Rory. The TV show makes It look like she and her mother are good people but they treat Emily and Richard like CRAP, It doesn't matter if they paid for a buch of things and were ALWAYS there for her.
I would use that reason for Richard but for Emily? Nahhh, for sure she loves the two girls too but she doesn't know how to show it to them which where the problem with her comes in. She becomes controlling and manipulating the two girls so you can't really blame them for acting the way they are sometimes to Emily. Richard on the other hand, is papa bear we love him.
they weren’t always there for her lets be real…like yes they will pay for their things but honestly a scene where emily and richard are comforting lorelai or rory is so rare…
While Rory is their only grandchild, she’s not an ‘only-child’ since she has a sister from her dad.
She's technically got nothing to do with them
@@emunebula2975 still. She has a sister, the show just doesn’t pay attention to it until Lor and Chris are dating/get married in season 7.
@@hillyplays29 ya Chris never even brought her to any of the friday night dinners. But she was in paris with her mom a lot tho "making up for lost time"
Rory is an only child to Lorelai that's all.
Plus Rory was raised as an only child. There’s a difference. Just because she has a sister as an adult doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the tendencies of “stereotypical only childeren”
Rory was the worst. Spoiled. Bad writer. Cheater. Second woman. And all 19.
Never seen her doing one single thing from chores to buying groceries.only had one friend that was more like a puppy than a friend.
She was really like a maury charachter.
I think the writers kill her scence from S3 ahead!!! She just made all the possible mistakes she could... what happened with her good judgement? With her guts to face criticism like the breakpoint with Mitchum?? I never liked what they end up doing with her characte, except for the rejecting Logan's proposal...but they just killed her scense!!!
She gets worse in the revival if you have not seen it yet
to be fair though, lorelai says in the earlier seasons that rory was the reason for the house being clean !!! thats literally the only thing i can defend lmao
@@chris.dav_8333 Well the first 3 season she was a sheltered kid, not much there. Lets face it, Rory was a spoiled and selfcentered child who got everything handet to her. Her mother cuddled her more as a friend than as a parent and her grandparents in a last effort to make up lost time spoilt her rotten. Rory got everything handed to her. that or she took it with no care what about others. The moment there was backlash she crumbled like a crouton.
