You should definitely do cutscenes reaction for both these games, the story is unique, very cool fights, and cameos of beloved characters of the original franchise. These game had EVERYTHING.

Sam Witwer needs more roles. (By that I mean original characters and not replacing every single old Star Wars villain in the games/cartoons) I love so many of his lines from the games, I don't want to put any just in case, but man, I think Starkiller goes through every single emotion and his portrayal is just... on point. I can't praise him enough.

Galen Marek, one of the most OP star wars legends characters. Sam Witwer, the voice actor and character model for him, is in a number of star wars projects and said he would love to play him again. He also played as Darth Maul in the clone wars and rebels, The Son in the clone wars, and the Emperor in Rebels.

Disney wouldnt do Galen Mareks story. Not unless they made him an underdeveloped side character like they originally planned for him to be in Rebels.
They have this really boring way of making all their characters black and white instead of making intriguing characters that do bad things yet you can understand their motives. That is what made Star Wars so interesting to me over time and Disney has lost sight of that aspect in Star Wars/Marvel in my opinion. Anyone who does anything wrong is a mustache twirling bad guy who is just evil for fun with no reasoning.

Have you never seen Rebels? What about Kallus, he is a very grey character, same with Ezra himself. the big guy(forgot his name) was literally going to leave Ezra to die, which is a very evil thing to do, despite him still being a good guy.

Starkiller is still my favorite SW character ever, his story is insane and amazing, still got the PS2 version, wich is my favorite as well!
He is Darth Vader's secret aprentice, so every time he's sent on a mission, he's instructed to kill EVERYONE, troopers and rebels alike. In the books it's said that Vader would break his limbs before physical training, so he is extremely skilled.

5:04 Its interesting that looking back on these trailers now, I just remember that the year that the first Force Unleashed game was released was the same year the Clone Wars movie was released, where Ahsoka was first introduced to the Star Wars series! Kind of ironic that Anakin had two apprentices for both the light and dark lol

  • @johnford8157
    @johnford8157 11 месяцев назад +4

The reason Gallen is so powerful? Jedi are taught to restrain their powers. Sith train their apprentices in fear of being eventually replaced, and so incidentally teach the same.
Starkiller, AKA Galen Marek, was taught neither. Vader trained him purely to be a weapon against Sideous. He uses 100% of his potential at all times, and as the force is a sentient being, it’s darker side uses him as a conduit. He is literally BLESSED by the dark side of the force with power beyond other Sith for his willingness to hold nothing back.
There is also the implication that some part of him still remembers/serves the light side, and while he hates this part of himself, it is still there. That means that he is close to unlocking true balance , such as Grandmaster Luke Skywalker or Darth Revan did. He has the potential to be EVEN MORE powerful.

8:25 he is Starkiller and arguably up there in the top 5 strongest force users that isn't a god like being he is capable of manipulating entire star destroyers and conjure storms almost as powerful as Sidious who can conjure gigantic storms but he is top 2 for melee combatant him and Mace Windu would be insane to watch due to no one but Sidious and yoda ever coming close to that level of skill, hes an OP noncannon character but very interesting

Seeing these trailers with the OG Powerful Jedi/Sith character that is named StarKiller. As he is one the powerful Star Wars character before LucasArts was bought by Disney. His journey was the most intense one that I remember playing both games with additional of Sith Edition. I had a math teacher who gave me some codes for the game as she was a Star Wars fan and gamer for Star Wars games. 😄 Also there are fun fact about this series, here is what I know so far:
•This game series takes place during moments of the movies between sessions
•The actor who play as StarKiller is also a Voice actor who voiced Darth Maul and Palpatine during Clone Wars animated series/Live action shows
•The name Starkiller was meant for the surname for Luke, Lela and Anakin till it was scrapped to be Skywalker
So I hope you both check out the Cutscenes for this game as it’s so amazing and stunning to watch with you both. I highly recommend giving it a go. 😄

Galen marek aka starkiller my favorite extended universe character a total badass and protagonist of my favorite star wars games also incredibly revolutionary for their time they still hold up to this day and the incredible force abilities starkiller has are incredible. Starkiller is Vader’s secret apprentice he was a survivor of order 66 his father was murdered and he was taken by vader as a child due to his incredible potential in the force.starkiller served as vader’s secret assassin and he was trained to kill Palpatine alongside vader.the woman he is searching for is his beloved and pilot Juno. The rebel alliance’s crest is actually starkiller’s family crest as a way to honor his heroic deeds and founding of the rebellion.

I only had experienced Star Wars Forced Unleashed 2 and not the first game, but holy hell it gives you the best kind of power fantasy when fighting everything, seeing Stormtroopers flail about screaming in fear, hell, they even grab onto other stormtroopers, meaning more flailing about from a second trooper, crunching up every box and catching tie fighters in mid-air, it was the BEST!

His name Galen Marek A.K.A Starkiller when he was the apprentice of Darth Vader. Back before Star Wars was bought by Disney he used to be canon. I won’t explain everything about him just in case you watch more about him but he is essentially the Kratos of Star Wars. He is extremely over powered but that’s the charm of him, I will say however he is a good guy for the most part.

Loved these games back when they came out! Cutscene reactions would probably be the way to go, the games both controlled pretty clunky when they came out so they might not hold up too great today, but the combat was pretty fun and unique, they were a bit like the games with Cal (Fallen Order & Jedi Survivor), but arcade-y and hack-n-slash like, rather than a SoulsBorne style.
The premise of the games follows Vader's secret apprentice, codenamed "Starkiller" (aka Galen Marek), which incidentally is what Luke's surname was (Luke Starkiller) in the original script for Star Wars before Lucas revised it for film. "Starkiller" was kidnapped by Vader from his father as a child (after Vader killed him right before his son's eyes) and tortured and trained by Vader to be a Sith assassin, hoping to one day use him in a plot to kill Palpatine and take over the Empire. He's basically what Luke would have been if Vader had managed to turn him to the dark side in Empire Strikes Back.
The woman he's searching for in the sequel is introduced as his pilot in the first game, and she sticks with him throughout the course of the first game. I don't want to say more than this, cause the story is pretty good, and most of what I wrote happens in the beginning of the game, and a lot of it is shown in the trailers too. Hope you check out the cutscenes!
The actor who voices and gave his likeness for Starkiller, Sam Witwer, is a massive Star Wars fan himself. He's gone on to voice several characters in a few Star Wars projects, including Clone Wars (which he did a tremendous job in, and got lots of praise for) - but I'm not sure how far you are into the show, so I don't wanna say who he voiced - and has been one of the people fans have held in high esteem while working with Lucasfilm over the years, in a similar vein to Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. He's played parts in several DC TV shows too.

On one of his many hunts to kill rogue jedi, Vader found a boy strong enough in the Force to pull his lightsaber from his hand. Vader took him and secretly trained him to hunt down Jedi to train him in Force combat so they could kill Palpatine. Palpatine found out and Vader had him thrown out of the airlock on his order. The Apprentice rescued his crew (including love interest Juno Eclipse) and find someone to train him in the light. He eventually gathered together the beginnings of The Rebellion. This was all part of Palpatine's plan to gather all the dissidents into one place so he could kill them all at once. The Apprentice launched an attack on the Death Star to rescue them and either a) gives into his rage and kills Vader, allowing the Rebel founders to be executed and becoming Palpatine's new enforcer (Dark Side ending) or b) stalls Palpatine until the new Rebellion founders can escape but dying in the process (Light Side). Amazing game
In 2, he is revived somehow and goes on a quest to find his girlfriend. Good gameplay but very, very shallow plot.

Extremely polarizing game with an extremely polarizing character. Most older fans consider Marek an absolute 100% Rey level Mary Sue, and younger fans that were introduced to him when he was the next canon evolution and LFL's experimental step into interactive games on the back of the prequel games love him to death.
Regardless of how you feel, objectively Marek is the most powerful force user since Darth Revan... and you may see him in a Disney series very very soon... like next week soon. Sam Witwer is the actor, both face and voice and he is the current voice of Darth Maul as well as Marek, and you might wanna avoid googling his name til next week.

What I really love about Starkiller AKA Galen Marek is that he starts out as a Sith Apprentice.
It isn't until being betrayed by Vader and AWKWARDLY falling in love with Juno that he realises he doesn't want to be a Sith anymore, and decides to become a Jedi.
He decides to fight back against Vader and the Emperor on the unfinished Death Star knowing full well he could die, and in the canon ending, he does. His sacrifice inspires the Rebel Alliance, and in this version of Star Wars, the Rebel Alliance's symbol is House Marek's heraldry.
    Juno: "What are you doing?"
Galen: "Meditating. Jedi can sometimes see visions of the future."
Juno: "Are you sure that'll work?"
Galen: "Don't know. I've never been a Jedi before."

Edit: No spoilers here, all details are either available through the trailers or mention the actor who plays the role
Star-Killer was born shortly after the Clone Wars ended and was raised by Vader. He's power incarnate, brainwashed by Vader to be the perfect assassin/force powerhouse, he was possibly the strongest force user around when the games were released. He's hard to identify with and trust not because he's a bad person, but because he's literally been raised his whole life by Vader who constantly abused him and ordered assassins to kill him in order to keep him sharp and develop his skills.
His voice actor, Sam Witwer, has been super-active in the Star Wars community and has even voiced some fan-favorite characters such as The Son and Darth Maul...He got his foot in the door with Star-killer though, and Star-Killer's physical appearance is based off of Sam.

Technically in the story the guy in the trailer is responsible for the birth of the rebellion. But obviously that was made legends so that doesn’t matter anymore. Dave filoni said he wanted to bring starkiller “That’s the guys name” back in Star Wars rebels but they were to occupied with thrawn to properly implement him without him being to Overpowered.

The most overpowered Star Wars character to ever exist, unfortunately not cannon and if he were to be cannon he would be nerfed so hard. But these games were so much fun to play growing up. I recommend to watch the cutscenes maybe for another video or two of each game!!

There are still some commercials for the Force Unleashed 2, like where Starkiller sent Darth Vader through several walls of a Star Destroyer, or the one done by Robot Chicken.

Starkiller is one of the most powerful force users in the Legends Canon, as a child he had the force equivalent to a Grandmaster Jedi, said right in the first 20 seconds of the game.
    Spoiler? Maybe
His family crest is the emblem the Rebels use on their flag.

One of the things that is special to me about these games is that I'm autistic as hell, and I can't detect emotion in voice. Someone who is sarcastic, angry or normal all sound the same to me, or at least, it's hard for me to tell what emotion I'm hearing, it's all just different accents to me. There is this one scene in the second game where Starkiller is fighting Vader and Vader just casually goes "Your feelings for her, are not real" (Which is true for reasons I won't spoil) and the voice actor just goes back with "They are real to me!" in what is probably the only time in my life I have been able to actually feel the anger audibly in someones voice. It's great.

The absolute best way to play these games is on a Wii of all things! You swung the controller to swing the lightsaber and use force powers with the nunchuck, you literally force pushed by punching with the controller! Plus the DLC came free on the Wii and cost a bunch extra everywhere else

Star Wars was better pre-Disney acquisition, these games are just the power fantasy of the Force turned up to 11 and along with KOTOR and OG Battlefront really make up a time where Star Wars game were peak. Pretty revolutionary stuff in terms of what you can do with physics engines in games and to top it off these games were canon to the original trilogy and Galen or "Starkiller" (fun fact this was supposed to be Luke Skywalker's last name before George changed it) really leaves his mark on the plot coming into A New Hope. In the second game you play as a clone and there is a pretty good premise surrounding identity + Galen Marek's VA kills it in this game, I think you've seen scenes of it in videos before now. Pretty sure they aren't canon anymore but still really good games.
Bringing up Cal and Fallen Order was good because Force Unleashed and Fallen Order are really two sides of the same coin, huge budget titles in Star Wars that re-contextualize the time between the prequels and OG trilogy and the hunting of the Jedi that both revolve around what it means to chart your own path, the only difference is Galen Marek and Cal Kestis start on opposite sides of the conflict.

I would like to recommend a new game series because of how whacky it is but it is one of my favourites which is splatoon and the video recommend to check out is rassicas's splatoon lore iceburg, while probably not the greatest start, you'll get a good feel for how whacky the series is. I do hope you check it out. Great vid as always!

These games are a hack and slash power fantasy, it's great, her overpowered and much more powerful than we ever see Anakin or Luke do, the stories aren't super *great* but it's interesting, the story is serviceable for the main parf the game, the game play, his main story without spoilers is a struggle between the light and dark, his loyalties to Vader vs his friends.

Ah, the "good ole days" when trailers actually made you EXCITED for what is coming out!
Also, Starkiller was going to be LUKE'S original name! But George decided it sounded to aggressive/ negative for a hero character, so he changed it to Skywalker.
Force Unleashed were basically a Star Wars "button masher" game. But its fun if you wanted to play an Over-the-top OP Force user. And the trailers were great too.
I think you missed (at least) one. I remember a short trailer where you see Vader flying backwards through multiple bulkheads. Hitting a wall. Getting up. (shaking it off) And confronting Starkiller again.
I always rather liked it. It showed how STRONG Starkiller was. (being able to Force throw VADER) And how TOUGH Vader is! (It didn't even PHASE him, much less HURT him.)

force unleashed 1 was basically a tech demo to show off their cool physics. The whole premise is just that they take all the force powers and turn them up to 11. The story of the game was surprisingly decent, tho it greatly suffered from it's main character just being boring. And the female character designs were very... 2000s boys club. But ultimately, the game wanted to be a power fantasy for nerds, and it delivered on that pretty well.
Force Unleashed 2 on the other hand, was one of the most shameless and loveless cashgrabs of video game history.

Starkiller was attempting to find juno eclipse. I've played both games. Graphics wise I'd go with force unleashed 2, sentimental value I go with the first. Sam Witwer was the one who did Starkiller plus other star wars project
