I ran against one of these last night in my is20 turbo swapped golf tsi 1.8t. I was genuinely surprised that it kept up with me. You don't see many people tuning the newer accords these days and I was impressed
We ran twice and it was the same result both times. I'd break about 10 or so feet and then he would just hold that position all the way up to 150mph. He wasn't expecting me to keep up with him either as my car started at 190hp stock. RN she's at 320hp
I'm a big fan of the newer Accords looks-wise, starting with maybe the gen 8 (not sure which is which) but I have a 12valve VR swapped MK2 SC'd Jetta coupe and a 2.0 MK6 GTI and I've been REALLY impressed w/ how they've kept up during shenanigans. So much so, that I'm seriously considering one, and I already have an H swapped '91 Accord LX that I can't part with...
I got mine auto 2.0 2 months ago. I wanted manual but it was difficult finding a 2.0 since dealerships and private owns dealerships always selling 1.5t and they all overpriced lol. I gave up looking for a 2.0 manual and just got the 2.0 auto. I got lucky with this accord.

I really wish Honda leaned harder into this 2.0t engine. I have an unmodified Accord sport 10 spd w that engine and love it so much. I generally like a more compact car than this generation of Accord, but I can live with it. I think my dream would be to swap this engine into a Civic hatchback And add A sports suspension, exhaust and custom tune. That would just be amazing.
I agree with the back lacking. I have a small duckbill style spoiler on my 2.0T and it’s probably my favorite thing as well it makes the car look sick.

They don’t come in 6 speed anymore. 2.0 6 speed is only gonna be in used market now. I test drove one a few years back. Loved it. Went to get one this past year and no more manual. Ended up with automatic. At least it’s not a cvt like the 1.5s though.

I have to say I like your car. I drive a 20 2.0 Accord with Jb4 on map 3. Your car is well done. I've done a few of same things, but the one that helped make it quicker was the Torque Rod engine mount. I got the solid aluminum one stage 3, swapped stock plastic. Helps alot with squatting at 80+ and straight acceleration. I also like you exhaust. Mine is catback 2 and 1/2 all the way with no muffins. It's louder, but how you gets your exhaust so raspy? Is it high flow cat or just prl downpipe making sounds? I need more turbo noises, have to give the big trucks something to listen to as I pass them along.
Hey does the jb4 remove the speed limiter? I find it wack honda left it at 125 even pure stock i can tell she wants to keep Going, I came from a jb4 Q50 3.0t and it topped at 155 idk if jb4 did anything to it, or will i need a k tuner to remove that limiter?
@@rdaplaumax9289 no sadly, but yeah you have to do a flash tune. The 125 speed limiter I think has something to do with cop cars going 133. I'm probably wrong, but that's my theory.
@@iiAzT3Cii I've ran it for almost 3 years with no issues. I use it so I don't void the warranty. You switch to a tune after warranty is expired so dealer doesn't throw a fit. I got it covered.
OTS maps aren't really the best idea once you start adding bolt ons and changing the car. Those OTS maps are just generalized and every car is different. A custom tune will open up more power and definitely make it safer power.
@@savedby_grace6110 I doubt this car is at 280whp since a stock 2.0T puts down that much on KTuner's stage 2 tune. As he said it has a DP and an intercooler so is most likely close to 300 as advertised.

All the car you will ever need. Always wondered if the cvt in the Accord is the same as the civic. The only downside on the cvt in the civic is it breaks over 300whp if driven hard. Wonder if cooling mods will solve this problem, like a cvt cooler. Would be awesome if they over engineered the cvt a bit to handle up to 500whp.
The original smooth sound/prrr sound is without parallel. Its f*cking beautiful car though. I got the 22 factory and if i do mod it I'm not touching the sound of it.

I was thinking about getting a 2.0 accord but wanted to know how much I am going to spend on mods/ customizations. Can you give me an estimate on how much you spent
cheapest way to get to 300whp in a 2.0t is to go with the phearable tuning stage 3 ktuner. mine 21 accord 2.0t is fully stock components with stage 3 and it takes 93+ octane only. you can make more power if you add race fuel which is recommended. It’s about $450 without tax and you’ll need a computer/laptop with internet connection to flash your ECU. The nice thing is the ktuner is only $79 extra with the stage 3, but if you have a ktuner already then you can just buy the tune for $179. You can also change the settings if you have any bolt-ons (down pipe, cold air, exhaust). So far I haven’t had any issues other than a clamp breaking on me once which i quickly reflashed my ECU back to stock and was replaced free under warranty. And yes ktuners/ECU tuning will void your warranty, do it at your own risk
Number one not at these gas prices would I ever get E85 ever again Especially in California. Number two you can tell this is California because that boy just named off about 1k to the most 2k worth of cosmetic as well as engine upgrades as well as exhaust upgrades. I don’t know about you but me personally in today’s day and age it’s kind a hard to come around that kind of money. And finally the last touches he wants are probably about the same price as what he paid for Most if not all his upgrades But overall the car is freaking awesome and I wish I had and I’m jealous!
Only thing I don't like is the raspy ass fart can sounding exhaust. Other than that, very clean build. I test drove a 19 10spd earlier today and it surprised the hell out of me with the get up and go they have just stock. I may grab one as a DD, or a 10spd GT Mustang. The Accord would keep me from messing with it too much, Mustang, I'd want to tinker with it asap lmao. 2 TU!
@@abc.garage absolutely! I will probably get an exhaust made using the Borla ProXS mufflers or some Magnaflows. Every 4cyl I've ever heard with a Magnaflow actually sounds decent for a 4cyl. I have a ProXS on my truck with turndowns and it's extremely mild. If anything, I'll make it modular with V-band clamps to change the tone from time to time.
@@ItzViprr The open air ones cause heatsoak. The PRL HVI and stock do not. They are closed element and the only ones that actually offer lower IAT's and HP gains when tuned.

Jb4 will fuck your shit up in the long run, plus doesn’t offer as much hp as a flash tune. Go with hondata or ktuner. Ktuner is most recommended.

Get the upper Torque Mount from the 2.0 manual..it helps with wheel hop..
