Thanks everyone for watching this video! I do want to mention a big issue I found with this bass. With most active basses, the battery is used only if an instrumental cable is plugged in. With this model, it seems that the battery slowly drains as long as the bass is plugged in which is a pretty large design flaw. If you plan on purchasing this bass, you will need to remove the battery between sets. Hopefully this is addressed in their next iteration of the GIB series.
So this video gave me what I needed to drop the money on this bass. It's a great way to check out whether 6 strings is for you or not. It punches way above its price point.
Yes the bass sounds great, but I also thought no battery was odd. I'm sure beginners getting the 4 string version of this as their first bass will be confused when there is no output lol
seriously considering getting one of these to keep at our rehearsal space so I don't have to lug my "real" bass back and forth every week... Sounded pretty dang good to my ears... Looks good too.
Sounds pretty good for a $100 bass. I would put 500k pots and a .022 Orange Drop cap with Ernie Ball Cobalt Flatwounds. I have an offer to buy a brand new one for $92 .
That don't sound half bad tbh. If I didn't already have a beater bass I might be tempted to get one. Might get one anyway after I get the Schecter I've been saving up for
If you want your neck to be thinner, there is a thing called sandpaper :D I sanded my guitar neck into a weird trapezoid-ish shape and i honestly really like it lmao
Once your Neuro-Muscular synapses adjust to the size and width of the neck, it's hard to go back to a 4 string. It feels like a toothpick. Like playing a 66 key instead of a grand pianos full range. I sold all of mine. I have ONLY 5 and 6 string fretted and fretless now. Fond memories.
Thanks for the excellent presentation. I just sat through two videos of yack and when they get around to playing after the perfectly audible speech, the guitar is inaudible. As a newb I'm finding two things very annoying with Glarry WHAT DO THE MODEL NAMES MEAN AND WHY DON'T THEY SAY THAT ANYWHERE. The other being half my fault problem is viewing the web page there is nothing about the alternatives of open and closed pickups or active or passive alternative, add that the guitar I ordered as far as I know has the same model name GIB as your active guitar. I still have to find demo for passive 6 string GIB.
Awesome review, chris 😎🤘🏻🎸 for the price, this bass sounds incredible. Though I find it a little odd that the input jack is located next to the controls on the front(only because I’m use to seeing input jacks on the bottom edge of the body). Despite this, this is a surprisingly nice sounding bass guitar.
Amazon does have the Glarry GIB 6 string, The seller is listed as Ktaxson and they have the black and white active open core humbuckers for $109.00 with $10 off coupon and $20 for shipping from Canada. I just got the white GIB delivered today, and it came in a Glarry box.

This bass is a steal for $150!!!!! WOW!!! Very impressive and great tones!
That Halo bass cover was awesome

I think this is the only battery not included bass I've ever heard of. Sounds really great though.

probably because shipping batteries is a strange thing. There are a lot of requirements when you are shipping batteries that otherwise don't apply.

I knew where you were going with the riff but hearing it still gave me that warm fuzzy feeling in my gut. Great riff. oh also great review thanks.

It sound great depend on your Amp settings❤
Got a Glarry 6 string and am sending it back. None of the wiring was properly soldered to the pots. Came off immediately

it has great tone sound for funk music
Only issue is having to input Jack on the body instead were a jack usually goes makes it kinda cheap looking
THE HALO THEME LMAOO GOOD SHIT
LOL yes could not help myself
Is the b string tight feeling or is it a bit sloppy? I’ve never had a six and I kind of want one
DO the EQ knobs have a detent at the "middle" position, or do you just have to kind of guess where the middle is? 9:23 Nevermind. lol
Correct, no "middle" position so it's hard to get all 3 EQ knobs exactly flat. Unfortunate they left that feature out
Time for you to do some Dream Theater covers hahahahaha
this one is active?
Si
Bought one brand new n it stopped working a week later 😢
Oh no that's awful! Maybe the battery that was included is bad. Have you tried replacing it?
so who sells these things? I see Amazon sells everything but the 6 String?
Ebay
I think Glarry only sells these directly on their website, that is how they keep their prices low. Link to the bass is in the description!

Can you give me one on your bass??? Please 😢😢😢
nice video! Could you speak a little slower?
