- I seriously CANNOT believe some of these arcade games. Games like Kaiser Knuckle make arcade mode almost near impossible! They cheat you out in neutral and you have to play SUPER lame. But that's not going to stop me from beating it. I hope you guys enjoy my... pain.

I could never get up to General legit. I savestated my way up to him just to see if he really was as hard as I was lead to believe. 200+ tries later, I actually beat him with Kazuya. That fight almost broke me it was that hard...
Dev 1: "So this character is going to be a jujutsu fighter. He's going to have rolls and grabs and a gi and shit."
Dev 2: "Good, but he seems a bit bland."
Dev 1: "How about we stick a Davy Crocket hat on him?"

@Gaea11 I'm not into the competitive fighting game scene, but I love stuff like this. It's great to see someone like Justin play just older and obscure, maybe even bad, fighting games.
These stages have so much life and personality, it needs to be more fighting games with stages doing these things.
I see you also discovered the joy of Kaiser Knuckle.
I was hoping to see how you react to the general.
I don't even remember how I beat the General. All I remember is that I died SO MUCH and having "I am the perfect soldier" line burned into my memory.
And then, he got a nerfed version...
I honestly wanted to see how Justin would try to fight the General, because I don't know what this game's devs were smoking when they made that character. A safe slide that's it's own block string, a full screen teleport with no start up or lag, a three way projectile with no recovery that makes jumping in on him impossible, the dude makes no sense.
Taito devs (apparently): What's that? SNK Syndrome? We can one-up that.
From my experience with the right timing, it's barely possible to land a jump in on him. My strat with Kazuya was to find an opening where I could knock him down with a light DP (when he jumps towards you was one of a few I found), and just before he starts the getting up animation you jump towards him. He'll try to use the three way fireball but if I time my hard kick just right it cancels it out and then I immediately light DP again to knock him back down, rinse and repeat until he's beat. Your timing has to be STUPIDLY precise like I said, otherwise you've basically thrown away your chance of a victory. Sometimes you can get it right off the rim when he starts the round with a slide kick, but he won't always open with that, it's just a matter of luck that his A.I. behaves in your favour or not.
In this revision. Only wulong feint Will work or líhua Air combo reoeated. Or Wong with Kazuya. Lol!
There are two versions of Kaiser Knuckle. The one maximilian took hours to beat was actually the prototype sequel with the "Nerfed" General.
Even getting to the General in the original is extremely hard apparently. Forget actually beating him.

I have to admit, the effects of the stage are actually really good when you got either a counter hit or got counter than shakes everything, neat gimmick not to mention the stage becoming bigger while you play by destroying walls and other stuff,
3:20 that was the cleanest transition I've seen in a while

I never ran into this game but it must of made living w/ a belly full of quarters. The AI read counters are insane.
The scrolling backgrounds and destroyable terrain in this are really cool

This stages with all the damage and transitions are crazy cool
Ikr! Only other fighting game that I can think of that does something similar is Fatal Fury Real Bout.

The key to super cheap bosses is baiting the computers read of your imput and punishing the move they "should" do in that senario.

Wow... watching him play AND fail to beat the game... damn, but yeah, some old games you had to play lame against the AI because they pretty much input read you.
In this games you need to find a way to loop the ai or you are done

OMFG Marco is the epitome of old school CHEEZE! I swear I was just as frustrated watching...lol! He had some serious recovery cheese too. And Gonzales was rage quit fuel. He punished you on every attack attempt.
Speaking of cpu cheating, I remember in MK1 on SNES if you kept throwing projectiles over and over the cpu would just crouch-slide under and get to you.
The emulation I have of this is on a pandora box and it’s stuck on expert. And there’s controller drift on top of the bad controls. I made it through TWO opponents and I usually consider myself as “not bad” at fighters

Man.... I watched that whole thing and I didn't even get to see the ending. lol
I love you man don't get me wrong; but it's super funny watching all of these arcade mode runs where you repeatedly stand at very close range and try to throw fireballs when the cpu has a neutraljump move that just killed you the previous round for the exact same thing.... and then when you finally went in it was no problem. I get that it's the cpu and you want to lame them out but it's just weird seeing you fireball spam so consistently in every single game as the primary tactic, even when you are at super punishable ranges.

Did you ever played Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors ? That one was pretty hard too. The last boss specially was super cheap. Also both Double Dragon and Rage of Dragons from SNK.
