    at the brake module there is two brown and two brown and black wires for the highspeed lan network all you have to do is connect the browns together and the brown with black wires together to bypass the abs module

    • @TSRGarage
      @TSRGarage  2 года назад +1

      😁 Yeah... I had to do it for 2 reasons. 1 it's kind of cool to see engine running on the floor. And 2 I have not done an LS before so I wanted to make it run ..... to make sure that I actually could make it run🤷‍♂️.
      And after all that I didn't even use the impala pcm/engine harness. I ended up using a truck pcm and modified truck wiring harness.
      I did the same 'engine running on the floor' with my Celica Street rail. Good way to make sure you have all the pieces/parts to make it go.

      I am using a truck wiring harness and computer. Also the intake and injectors. A lot of information about (truck) ls harness wiring and pcm pinout at lt1swap.com.
      My wiring harness is not complete yet. You can see the start of it at the end of this video

      @@TSRGarage That’s interesting! Are you not using the Impala transmission? And if so, does the truck harness work the trans?!

    • @TSRGarage
      @TSRGarage  2 года назад +1

      @@GarageFab Um well Ah... 🤔. Excellent question..... I wasn't thinking about that when I answered.
      I've done a fair amount of looking around online and haven't found any definite answers on that.
      What I have found is. The pin out of the 20 pin plug is different. From the pin out diagrams I've seen (not sure yet if I am right) some wires are in different pin locations/ have to be moved. Some wires have to be move to the 20 pin from the pnp (park neutral) switch on the truck. ( My transmission does not have the external switch). I am not sure yet if what I'm doing will work. Some other changes may still be needed.
      I will show what I am trying (if it works) when I get this car running and moving. I don't want to be responsible for destroying somebody's transmission.
      I really don't want to be responsible for destroying mine either... but🤣.
      Let me add. What makes the results even more unpredictable is, I know almost nothing about automatic transmissions.

    • @GarageFab
      @GarageFab 2 года назад

      @@TSRGarage Hahaha!! Well thank you for taking the time to share all that info. It means a lot.
      One final question, when you swap to the truck manifold, are you required to also swap to the truck harness?
      My current goal is to get both drivetrains into the truck working using ALL of the Impala components. Once I succeed and the truck is drivable, then I’d like to venture into performance upgrades like the intake swap. Hopefully you won’t mind me bugging you once in a while.
      Thanks again man! Maybe we’ll have to do some sort of collab one day. Cheers!

    • @TSRGarage
      @TSRGarage  2 года назад +1

      @@GarageFab I've seen videos of truck intakes on ls4 cars. Keeping in mind that I'm rather new to the world of ls. Learning as I go..... 2 things I can think of. 1st would be injector connectors. Or injector volume. Would the truck injectors play well with the Impala ECM? They probably would if the truck was just a straight gas truck and not flexfuel🤔. Or use the impalla injectors?
      2nd the Throttle Body. Get an adapter plate and use impala TB? Or... May be able to repin truck TB to make it work with impala ecm? I'm not sure. But doing research I remember seeing something about repinning different types years of throttle bodies to work with different pcm's or throttle control modules. I didn't go down that 🐇rabbit hole because I didn't need to😂.
      I got mine running and moving with all of the impala parts. Then I tore it all back apart and started over. About 7:30 moves under its own power ruclips.net/video/8vvIulxwu0Q/видео.html

      LS4 has a small V6 transmission bellhousing bolt pattern different than all other LS engine's it will work but you will have to use a RWD 2.8L or 3.8L transmission out of a V6 S-10 or Camaro 4.3L will not work. Most people don't use LS4 engine's for swaps because of this reason they use the LS engine's out of RWD trucks and cars because they have the same bellhousing pattern as the old school SBC engine's.
