Art of Black Miami: Visage and Portrait Stories - Art Basel Miami 2024

Visage & Portrait Stories opened as part of Art of Black Miami during Miami Art Week, offering an exceptional celebration of cultural identity and storytelling through portraiture. Held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Doral Cultural Arts Center in Florida, this vibrant event brought together five talented artists whose works explore themes of human connection, emotional expression, and the untold stories of everyday heroes.
Visage & Portrait Stories: A Celebration of Human Existence Through Portraiture features powerful works from all five artists, showcasing untold narratives that highlight emotional depth and the beauty of human connections. The event is brought to life by The Greater Miami Visitors Convention Bureau in collaboration with Art of Black Miami and The L Brand Group, and is produced by Twenty6North Productions, with music by Grammy award-winning DJ and Producer, EchoSlim.
Featured artists included Oscar Ukonu from Nigeria, Africa; Egypt Hagan from Arizona, USA; Anthony Burks Sr. from Palm Beach County, Florida; Stefan Smith from Broward County, Florida; and SONA from Miami Dade County, Florida.
