Thank you for taking the time to make this informative video. I am new to the 1911s, and in fact, I bought a Kimber. Your video was calming, going through each step clearly. I was able to do it with your instructions. I "liked," subscribed, and named our new puppy Harry!
You’re welcome! Enjoy your Kimber. Thanks so much for liking, watching and especially subscribing. Also, if you really did name you puppy after me, that’s awesome. Have a great day.
🤜🏼🤛🏼
great instructor...simple and slow enough ,easy to follow
I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I watched a half dozen or more videos on disassembling and reassembling the Kimber 1911 Custom II. This was, by far, the best of the bunch. Harry goes methodically through the subject. He explains at each step what you are trying to do and why. He does not cover up the critical steps with his hands. This video is 10:40 in length, and he takes enough time to allow you to understand and then execute the steps he is presenting. This is the video I would recommend by a long shot.
Hey Kenneth, I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
🤜🤛
Probably the best explanation for this weapon everyone else's video did not explain as well as you did. Thank you!
Thanks so much for the awesome comment. I'm glad my video helped out. Also thanks for watching and I hope you subscribed. ;)
I don’t know who you are personally, but I am a new 1911 gun holder and your video was the best video to show how to put together. It’s that dang caller in spring that give me the most trouble but thanks to your video I got it.
I’m so glad the video helped out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Excellent video. Most people who have experience with a gun inadvertently leave out many details that a new owner has trouble with. You cover everything in detail and great quality. Thank you for the awesome guide!
I'm really glad my video helped. Thanks for leaving an awesome comment and I hope you subscribed. :). Have a great day!
Bill Wilson/Wilson Combat has vids on the 1911, but both Bill and others go through the procedures too fast and with not enough detail, especially when they are replacing safeties, etc. "Yeah, next, just file this a little here or there." LOL.
Thank you.
You broke down every scenario for a newbie
I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I won't lie. I took my custom II apart, cleaned, oiled, and couldn't figure out how to put it back together lol. Thank you for helping me fix my gun.
I’m so glad the video helped out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
👍🏼🤜🤛
One of the best "how to" for anything I've viewed. You were straight to the point with no diversions and minimal nuance.
Anyone with a "how too" needs to watch this. This is how it's done!
I have a Kimber and I'm always annoyed at assembling that front spring. Thanks for making it appear easy for me!
I’m so glad you liked the video. I try to respect the viewer's time and get right to what the video is about as fast as possible. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Yes! He didn't add anecdotes or talk about his dog, all to a background of heavy metal music, LOL.
Thank you for making it simple and straight to the point just purchased my 1st 1911 and this video helped
I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
👍🏼🤜🤛
This has been my ‘go to’ video for several years.
Thank you so much!!
This is awesome to read. Thanks so much for leaving a comment and watching my video. Have a great day.
👍🏼🤜🤛
Great format for an instructional video. How many times have I been fixing my truck, or tractor, or whatever, and needed some details, and the video had 30 seconds of intro music, the guy's dog, kids, and some unrelated anecdotes before getting to the subject.
I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
🤜🤛
Today, I went to the store where I bought it. He showed me how to do it. There, I resemble it twice.
I am happy to hear they were able to help you out. Thanks for the update. Have a great day.
First time 1911 owner and coming from glocks I was confused as hell. Thanks for the video!
I’m so glad the video helped out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Thank you for breaking it down this simple! I’m good at breaking my guns down, but this is how all lesson videos should be! Finally after years I was able to save up responsibly for my Kimber! Got the shadow ghost which I’ve had my eye on. Super excited, and I took it apart at the same time you did! Without pausing once!!!!!
That’s how good your video was
Hey there, I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Congrats on the new pistol and enjoy it. Have a great day. 👍🏼
@@UBRArsenal keep up the awesome work!
Will do. 😁

Showed my dad my new firearm, he was so jealous how I could take it down so easily, I didn't understand untill I watched this

I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.

One, if not the best step by step demonstration of how to field strip a 1911. You’re not only knowledgeable but the best part is that you explain things in detail and make it easy to understand. Thank yiu
I'm so glad my video helped. Thanks for leaving a great comment and for watching my video. I hope you subscribed. :)
UBR Tech I most definitely did. It’s one thing to know what you’re talking about but to actually put things in a way that someone can understand it and make sense of it... that my friend is the definition of an “instructor”.. to which you rightfully are. Please keep doing what you’re doing....
@@claudiofonseca8418 Thanks so much for subscribing and making my night with this comment. Hope you have a great night too.

Nice. I just bought a Kimber Stainless Target II in 10mm.
It's my 1st Kimber 1911 so this video is a big help.
Thanks :)
I’m so glad the video helped. Congratulations on your new Kimber. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Had to look up a video because I hadn’t had my 1911 apart for years. I know all the technical names for the parts of the gun, but I really like how you use simple terminology for this. Like, ‘push this silver thing until it lines up with the black thing and this round notch with this button thing’. Perfect. Makes it so much clearer than using all the technical part names because even parts have specific areas that have to be just so.
Hi Jimbo, I’m so glad you liked the video. I didn’t use the technical names because I figure people that are just starting out don’t really care so much about the technical names. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Excellent video. Just brought a Kimber Rapide and wasn’t sure how to break it down to clean it. This video will definitely help!!
I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.

Thank you for the rundown. It's obvious I'm gping to need 50,000 extra guide rod plugs
Hi Austin, I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
1. Awesome video. 2. I want that gun.
Thanks for leaving a great comment. BTW, I want this gun too. This Kimber isn’t mine, it belongs to my Father. :)
THE ABSOLUTE BEST. No detail overlooked.
Thank you so much for this awesome comment. These types of comments make all the time I put into each video worth it. Have a great day!
Best field strip I've seen-thanks!!
I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I just bought mine and I saved this video! Thanks!!
Hi B&E, I’m so glad you liked the video so much that you saved it. Congrats on your new purchase. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I wish l had watched this video instead of one l watched yesterday because they showed the slide lock pin hole being up ⬆️ instead of down and it made the assembly difficult! Awesome video! I’ve saved this video and l deleted the one yesterday!
I’m glad the video helped out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I could field strip and reassemble mine before but I struggled with the part where you had to get the slide stop past the safety plunger and I had to use a punch before. Thanks for covering every step thoroughly.
I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Awesome vid ! I was able to breakdown and re-assemble my 45 kimber in 1.5 mins after some practice, I'd say I am happy with that. Next is the AR ;)
Hey Skiidz, I’m so glad the video helped out. You’re in luck I also have a video that shows how to field strip an AR. I listed a link below if you’re interested. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.

😂 no way I break my Kimber down without this video! Thank you brother!
I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
🤜🤛
Thanks for the detailed, slow description. The only improvement would be to identify the parts with their proper names, and add disassembly of the firing pin. Also, don't point that recoil spring towards your face or anyone else.
Great video, it's been so many years that I wasn't comfortable with the disassemble and reassemble. This has been such a great help.
Easy thumbs up and subscribe for me. Very detailed step by step. Thank you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such an awesome comment. Also thanks for the thumbs up and subbing. Have a great day!!
Great video ! However, I feel it necessary that it should be noted that on the Kimber Series II (per Kimber) you should NEVER depress the grip safety while removing or replacing the slide as damage to firearm could occur. Also to be noted not to drop hammer while disassembled. Have a nice field strip 😉
Thanks man. Glad you liked the video. Also, thanks for leaving this information. Have a great day.
Absolutely best tutorial! Thanks much. Very well done! Good teacher!
Feedback like this is what keeps me going. Thanks! Also thanks for watching and I hope you subscribed.
Greetings Harry, I have searched RUclips for instructional videos pertaining to the Kimber 1911. I am a new 1911 owner and always have difficulty reassembling my Kimber after cleaning. I
have to search RUclips for the reassembly process. I have viewed several videos with different reassembly techniques. You sir by far have the best instruction video on RUclips. You are very clear, methodical and concise. The way you explain things a 5 year old child could complete the task. I have several friends who are new 1911 owners. I will be sharing your video with them. Job well done. Five star performance.🙂
Hi Big Papa, I’m so glad you liked the video. Also, thanks so much for sharing the video. It helps the channel out more than you know. Have a great day.

Just got this gun as an early bday present for myself! Thanks for showing me how to disassemble it, the instruction manual wad not as clear as this lol. I swear, they should have QR code’s in the manuals that leads to these kind of videos. It would make things so much easier

As a Kimber .45 noob, getting that piece on barrel with the hole lined up correctly to install the slide lock was a challenge. I didn't realize the pin near the slide lock was on a spring.

Pro tip, if you don't have a barrel bushing wrench, just use the bottom of a .45 case, or the lip of the standard magazine baseplate. They both work perfectly.
Thanks for watching and leaving the pro tip. Have a great night.
Learned/used the .45 case in the military.yup I'm that old.

I have a brand new Kimber Custom LW and cant move the barrel bushing at all without the wrench. I disassembled the pistol earlier today even gave the bushing a drop of lube and just rotated it with the wrench back and forth.. It is super tight on the tolerances. I have not broken the weapon in yet, but still.
That doesn’t sound normal. I would reach out to Kimber and see what they say. Let me know how you make out.
Thanks again
You're welcome. :)
If Mr Rogers was teaching people to take apart a weapon !! Happy little gun !! Just kidding - good video !!
