Most EXCELLENT part 1/2 video. I purchased a 2019 Kimber Stainless Target II. The manual, which doesn't actually include the Stainless Target II (WTAF) leaves a bit to be desired. Your P1/P2 definitely filled that gap. Out of the box, the gun appeared to have zero lubrication of any kind. I did the field strip, oiled per your recommendations and I should be good to go at the range. Thanks for producing this video.
Thank you for the detailed disassembly, cleaning, lubricating, and reassembly videos. Very much appreciated. Now I go to my bench to clean my new Kimber with confidence.
You're a life-saver, thanks for taking the time to put these videos together. Just picked up a Kimber Custom TLE II last month and am looking to finally shoot it sometime this week, figured I'd give her a good cleanin' beforehand and as it turns out I'm not too good with written directions.
Great video. I have been cleaning my barrels wrong for years. I'm going to be buying a Kimber soon and I'm glad I know the proper way to clean and lube it. Thanks you.
Great video man ! I had so much trouble taking the middle pin out, I was doing it without taking the recoil spring first, now I know ! thanks again. I guess is the same procedure with my 1911 Kimber Gold match.
Is the mim parts a bad thing do they hold up good.I just ordered a stainless tle from gunbroker.I had a stainless ll with 600 rounds through it with no problems
And field stripping is minimal. For when in the "field" and need to get the weapon system operational asap due to enemy fire. Everyone says that though
"Metal injection molding (MIM) is a metalworking process where finely-powdered metal is mixed with a measured amount of binder material to comprise a 'feedstock' capable of being handled by plastic processing equipment through a process known as injection mold forming. The molding process allows complex parts to be shaped in a single operation and in high volume." - Wikipedia

Thanks for the video. I just got a SS TLE/RL and wanted to clean and oil before I took it out to shoot for the first time. This video was a big help.
I love my Kimber! It shoots better than most guys can hold. A Grand Raptor II.
This is a great video, and part 2. I just bought this gun and this has been a really good tutorial. Thank you!
I've only had revolvers prior to getting my new 1911 and tbis video is a big help! Thanks for taking the time to do.
thank you! Very informative! Just field stripped and cleaned mine following your vid ;)
You can get solvent at pretty much any sporting goods store that normally carries guns.

a toothbrush works well too and less of a risk to get q-tip cotton stuck in places,
but a great video, i plan on buying one soon. thanks
Awesome! Which model did you get?
@tucknshoot1 glad to hear it! i did the same thing after i purchased my kimber. i was surprised by how dirty my brand new gun was.
Thank you...Excellent video!!!
You got it!!
I don't know why they make it where you have to use that barrel bushing tool to get the recoil spring out. I guess it has to be that tight
buen video...la kimber va estar muy contenta ahora que la limpie!

@dirint i haven't seen it but if it was at that price i think it was worth it, for me i love the SIG scorpion 1911

Just got my custom 2. Cost $900, but its the stainless model. Don't know if that means a lot or if they have just gotten more expensive
just got this model a few days ago haven't gotten to the range yet but after firing it should i clean it right away?
Very well put together video. Bravo.
Great video, thanks for the help!
@AfKman101 Mine was a CDP Pro II Custom .45mm. I spent 1200 on mine. :)
