Hi, people that are life getting feel like they're better. The darker ones feel like they're tougher. It's all kind of sad because they need to stick together
We can t choose the color of skin we are wrapped in when we are born nor the texture of our hair, shape of our bodies! There’s a lot of trauma that goes with our fair skinned brothers and sisters skin tones…we have to stop! 😢
Sadly, the men would tell me, as women (they'd just cut their eyes at me or try to show in some way that I'm not better than they are based on my lighter skin tone) wouldn't say it to my face, so men thought it was their place to tell me on darker-skinned women's behalf, especially when I'd openly do things based on my skin, like pack and use sunscreen in public and/or offer it to darker-skinned women.
No they just say that as a cop out, they don’t like you because you don’t listen. You are a difficult person to interact with. Why say all this when you can just say, “it’s because you’re lightskinned” and leave it at that.
Have you seen tik-tok videos of Africans ? There are hundreds of millions of light skin Africans, and I'm not talking about the "Arabs" in North Africa. So, an African would not say something so ignorant. Because chances are he/she is light skin, or has a light skin relative. In fact, some Africans with low self esteem started doinh the d.mb thing of bleaching their skins. The same thing happens in South-America and Asia, where you can see commercials promising to make one look white. The whole colorism thing is sad, if you ask me. One way or another. Us Africans were subjected for a lesser duration to the toxic relationship with the Yt. Thus colorism exist in Africa, but didn't have time to get as bad/toxic as in the Americas or Asia. Ideas according to which light skin people are "better" in some way, or softer/weaker didn't have time to really take hold. Given the time, it's likely that they might have. We are no better/stronger/smarter tgan y'all.

That's you and you're lucky. but I have had her experience many times and other women I know like me have had the same experience. This is toxic division that doesn't help us as a people.💯
Honestly, I don't think people's dislike for her is because of her skin tone. I think she's out of touch with reality. She doesn't listen to what people are saying and why. She's also bitter and crazy
😂😂😂 I love her but that is probably the dumbest thing I ever heard. Skin color has nothing to do with race. African genetics are the most diverse of current humans because they have been here the longest. Lighter skin doesn’t come from white people. White people come from Africa too just like everyone else who migrated and evolved to suit the region. Melanin cannot be traced to one ethnic group in the human race. We all have it. This is why the invention of ethnicity is so confusing to people. It’s not paint. It doesn’t mix like that it’s just a trait that comes from your gene pool. Was the probability increased due to involuntary mixing? Probably but that’s not the only cause for being light skinned as there are entire tribes of light skinned Africans that have never integrated with European blood. Also my sister is darker than me and yes one of our great great great grandparents was involuntarily white. Has nothing to do with me being light skinned or her being dark skinned. Both of my parents are darker than me and none of my great grandparents or grandparents were white. I’m light af though.
