As a long time user of cloth nappies on my two boys. I love them!! Couldn’t be more thankful during the lockdown.
I use tots bots all in ones during the day and the two part bamboozle plus wrap at night. No leaks. Love them.

With my first I used disposables but I decided to give it a go and I was very surprised how easy maintenance it is. I still use disposables when travelling. It is investment at first unless you slowly build your stash but if well looked after they will last more than 1 child so it saves money and environment

Love seeing eco conscious content 😁 Cloth nappies are brilliant. Better for baby’s sensitive skin too!

Love this video! I've been contemplating using them when my daughter arrives this month and had to find out how to use them. I couldn't help but wonder, it says one size fits all, im hoping that means if I diaper my very new newborn, it won't look like she's getting sucked into a huge diaper? Or if we lift her, it won't just fall off poop and all lol. Can anyone ease my fears here?

My husband just refuses to use the reusable nappies when our baby arrives but I really want to give it a go because of all the benefits not only on our finances in the long run, but most especially on Mother Earth's state. We need to be mindful of how we will leave this place, and how our children will be able to learn - hopefully from us as their parents - right from an early age how to do their part as well. :)

No thx... maybe for your own kid its a yes but as a childcare worker I cannot imagine having 6-8 kids all in washables... all Id be doing would be changing nappies and soaked clothes 10h a day.. and everything stinks of pee.......

you do realise they don't leak as long as they're used correctly, and there is no smell if the nappies get washed correctly. My twins have been in cloth since day 1 and their CCW has no problems with them since I did a specific type that its literally just swapping in and out the nappy, same as a disposable and we're yet to have a leak at 18 months

Still a big no if Im looking after 6 kids for 10-12h a day. There would be no time for playing, arts, cooking etc. At home Id use it gladly for one or two kids. But in a childcare setting i cannot imagine all of them wearing it.

@@pola213watchesyt7 they literally take the same time as changing a disposable, no more no less, just instead of a rubbish bin you put them in a labelled wet bag

We have a child who uses them so I know how they work. I hate them. Her wet bag smells of wee and so does the change of clothes in her backpack. When she does no 2 I have to call another adult for help so that someone watches the other 5 cause I need to go to the toilet and often event bathroom (upstairs) with the girl and her nappy...i can never be sure whether the nappy is full or completely dry so she has to be changed literally every 1.5-2h and still it happens that she won't wee at all for 2h and then wet herself completely right after being changed. Her clothes get soaked, everywhere she sits has to be washed... The hustle with one child in them is to much while you have other 5 to look after. Nightmare.

So, I walk around with soiled nappies all day then it's twice the washing. No thanks. I think I'll stick to the fantastic invention of disposable nappies. But. Watching this definitely made my decision easier.

Why would you walk around all day with soiled nappies? Do you plan to be out all day everyday with a baby? If you were using disposables and bins didn’t exist, then you’d have to carry those with you too until you could dispose of them. It’s not hard to place it in a bag and wash it when home. You’d have to do the same with any clothes your baby soiled or clothes that have food on. It’s no different really. Using reusables is a way to lessen the amount of waste on the planet and do your part too. You might have a few extra loads of washing yes, but now more than ever everyone needs to do their part to help, rather than just settle for convenience.

And take zero responsibility for the planet?

    • @graceyblossom

I guess thats the problem in today’s society too many parents such as yourself opt for the ‘easy’ option without a regard of the planet. Shame more people don’t care about the state of the world they are bringing their kids into. Well done Channel Mum for trying to normalise eco content because the more people start to see it and accept its the new way forward towards a cleaner planet hopefully over time there will be less shallow minded attitudes on it.

Really makes me fear for our children's future seeing people don't care enough about the planet (not for us bur for our childrens future) to make a simple change to better the lives of others. Very selfish attitude.
