    THANK YOU!!! Don't understand why there's so little info on cloth nappies beyond the newborn phase. Great stuff!

    So update. My baba is now 10 weeks old and we have been cloth bumming her since birth. I now habe enough to cloth bum 2 full time 😂 thank goodness for the nappy bank sale where my sister managed to snag me 22 pockets and 22 bamboo boosters for just 10 pounds! I now have around 45 resusble nappies and I would never ever go back! We also turned our 12 Terry towels into about 45 resusble wipes 😍

    Just saying that 'flushable' liners are generally NOT flushable.. please don't flush anything down the toilet other than the 4 P's. Pee, poop, puke and paper!!

    • @danakarloz5845
      @danakarloz5845 2 года назад +1

      Swooshing is flushing...you’re not letting it go but because the liner is so thin, you can hold onto it much better than the actual diaper and the water from the flush will serve to remove even more poo from the insert.

    Thank you for such informative video. As a beginner it makes all these names clearer. I have two questions: can i use flannel cloths as my liner? Secondly, should i wash the liner both prewash and main wash?

    How many liners and inserts and pocket nappies would you need to start??

    • @elizabethunger9190
      @elizabethunger9190 3 года назад +4

      Depends on how often you plan to do laundry. If you plan to wash every other day, about 15-20 pocket diapers would be plenty since babies go potty between 7-10 times daily. If you want to do laundry every 3rd day you’d need 25-30. I would buy twice as many inserts as pocket diapers since you sometimes have to double them up once baby start peeing more or sleeping longer. Liners you’d probably need around 30.

    So I was given a bunch of hand me down cloth diapers. I have about 36 Pocket diapers. About 30 all in ones, and maybe, 20 fitted diapers with their covers. About fifteen to twenty new born diapers. Of all different sorts fitted, all in ones And pocket. But I kind of kept those separate from the rest of the new born stage is short. And then a giant massive box Of nothing but a thousand type of inserts. And to be frank I have no idea what to do with them. I have a small handful of The charcoal ones, And just as many normal white creamy looking ones. And then some other white creamy looking ones that button, so you can adjust their sizes. And then there's a ton of random ones of all different sorts of shapes skinnyness And thicknesses and stiffnesses and fabrics. And then there's other ones that look like the normal white. Creamy inserts but they all Snap. And I can't figure out what diapers they Snap into. And then last but not least, the last half of this massive box is just a A massive ton of The inserts that you fold in threes and stuff them in the pockets. And I have no idea what to do. I don't know if I should keep all of them. None of them say what they are sure they have tags and brand names, but none of them actually say what they are not even the diapers say what they are. If their pockets are all in ones. For the most part, you can tell that. But all of these same but different all at the same time. And I don't know what to do with them. Have what exactly, therefore, and I've watched about 15 different videos about cloth diapers and types and their inserts and getting started and. These extra ones that I have in this box aren't even listed in anything that anyone talks about...... None of the tags say anything other than brand, but no, inserts they don't even say micro fiber on Them, I don't know if they're boosters, linets, I don't know what they are. Then it looks like whoever gave them to me. Did exactly what you said and cut some liners out of a fleece blanket then there's some other weird material that looks like it's purposeful like this, but it's more silky than anything, and it looks like gym shorts type material.

    1st time every using a cloth diaper here. Q: The cloth diaper I bought had 2 liners in the package a small and big. Do I need to use both in the cloth diaper and also do I need to stuff it in the pocket of the cloth diaper?

    Great video thank you. So do you use liners in all cases plus either a booster or bamboo insert? The sample pack we have only seems to come with 2 bamboo inserts. Can’t find the instructions anywhere!! Thanks

    I want to use cloth nappies but my boy is 12 months old and constantly kicking and trying to run away. I’m worried this is going to be too fiddler to me

    It is mentioned that the natural fiber inserts will hold the dye and the synthetic fibers won’t. So if I try to dye all mine in one tub, will the synthetic ones resist the dye job altogether? My hope is that I can use this method to distinguish between the fabrics more easily when stuffing my pocket diapers.

    • @MummyofFourUK
      @MummyofFourUK  3 года назад

      Yes, if you chuck them all in together, the natural bamboo ones will take and the synthetic ones won't x

    Hi, I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with twins. I never used reusable with my 4 year old son. So I'm a newbie to cloth nappies and just wondering do I change the insert for wees or do I have to change the whole nappy? Of course to change the whole nappy with a poo. But what about wees only? Any advise would be so amazing 😍
    Also how many nappies and inserts should I have for the twins? I've got 5 little lambs, 10 Alva, 12 Gnappies, 5 totbots... Xx

    Is the cloth diaper itself not absorbent at all? I’m wanting to use cloth diapers on my 2yo as she’s not ready to use the potty and I’m having my 2nd in 3 months. So to save money on diapers since I only have 20 cloth diapers with inserts I’m going to use them with her

    How do you deal with newborn poo with fleece liners? :) very new to this haha thanks!

    • @MummyofFourUK
      @MummyofFourUK  5 лет назад +2

      It’s called “slooshing” - hold it in the loo and flush 😂 I also used to reach my shower head to the loo if it was stubborn 🤣

      Hi Lydia
      You actually don't have to sloosh off newborn BREASTFED poop. It's water soluble so all washes off on a prewash and goes down the drain. Only after weaning do you really need to sloosh and scrape. Buts it's you choice.
      So basically can shove it all in the washer together.
