Just a tip. What would work great cleaning out the needles and jets is a welding tip cleaner. Really small picks used for unclogging rose buds and torch tips. Would work great here if you have access to that
So many people need these kind of videos. I'll be recommending your channel to people and also watching myself. Thanks for your efforts! I've got a bayou 220 with a low end noise I'm going to pull down over the winter and fix. Never been into a bayou before so I'll be looking to see if you have videos for them. Great work!
Glad this video helped!! Thanks for watching and the comment. Have you watched some of our other videos on this same model? Also if you have need parts check out: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
I just bought a new one there not allot & it started right up,I probably will take the old one apart & clean it but there so inexpensive,it did take almost a week but that's fine,it won't move but working on that issue... ✌

Just found your channel a few days ago, Great content, Just got me a Big Bear 350, top end torn apart.......Just a suggestion, it would be nice to set up playlists for different motor tear down rebuilds ect.
For the choke does that cable hook onto anything or just bumps up against the 'plunger'? when we too apart it was not connected so not sure how it is supposed to be. Thank you
Good job! Followed your steps on my 85 Fourtrax 250 but still fackfiring and won’t idle, start east on full choke and Boggs to death after five seconds or so, and gets better if I spray startng fluid in carb when Bogging begins. I’m suspecting a fuel shortage just don’t know where to begin. I started at 1 3/4 turns out on carb. Cleaned carb and everything looks clean.
@@vanillagorilla6845 Thanks for the input. I just solved the problem. It was a lean backfiring problem. Solved it by fixing the carb installation. There was a piece of plastic in there that seats on the main jet area-well it was installed incorrectly not sitting properly hence blocking pilot jet orifice. Twisted it to fit properly and boom! Runs like a champ now!
@@lmt-adventures620 right on. I just picked up a neglected 85 trx250 I’m working on. Gas so old was yellow and could probably peel paint off the walls. Petcock was clogged, carb was dirtiest I’ve ever seen lol. Put it back together and starts first kick but idle is way too high so I’m trying to figure that out now
@@vanillagorilla6845 We for the same quad then! New to the sport but learning a lot and having tons of fun through the process. Carb Chem did the work for my carb. “Rust Dissolver” by Rust-Oleum did the magic for my rusty tank now looks brand new inside after a few days of flipping (way too long as product needs about 30 min to an hour to do the job but I had only a gallon so wasn’t touching every wall surface)….Sounds like you got her back to life, high idle doesn’t sound serious adjust the idle knob and let me know how it goes.
on my Honda there was no starter handle and lights, I bought it but I don't know what to connect to and I need a diagram or photos, please mail: wiczi1988@gmail.com
Did you mess with float height? Also, I see a lot of times, guys rebuild their carbs, then during install, they put the fuel hose back on and a chunk of rubber gets chipped off of the fuel line and holds the float open. Might be worth checking. Also if you possibly didnt get the main tight enough, I've seen those work loose and give some major fits. Let me know! Thanks for the question! When I took this carburetor off I was thinking. What the f*** was Honda? Rethinking the carburetor thinking about toss and the thing and just putting a real flat slide on it.
I loke your video and it seems you know what your doing but why do you have to go so fast just slow down a bit and give us new guys a second to digest. thanks

Is the carburetor the same as the 250X?
Unfortunately no. Check out our eBay store for the carburetor you need. Thanks for checking. www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports

If the engine ran on choked but then stalled and won't start again, where would I begin? I know nothing about carbs
Very helpful thanks 👍
What is your personal pre clean procedure before you even remove the carbs
