Wicked Game was my first experience of Diana Ankudinova several years ago now. It took me several listens of the performance to figure out what was going on. I knew instinctively I was in the presence of vocal greatness but I just didn't know why.
After hearing different songs from her in different styles I understood her voice better and something just "clicked" inside of me and said... "This is the person I want to hear for the rest of my life."
I understand that for sure.
Same thing happened to me here. I have already a mini collection of her songs I could buy from Apple store.

Wicked Game was far and away the main “gateway performance” for Diana Ankudinova reactors until Can’t Help Falling in Love came around.
All the videos on Diana’s channel that are not from tv shows (I.e., virtually all of them) can be used with no fear of copyright issues. She owns them, and she likes for people to react to her music!
Don’t be afraid of the languages! Diana has a team of volunteer translators, and for years they have been producing good human subtitles for her videos 😃
I’ll tell you genuinely I love her tone, and style etc and I plan on doing more for sure…even create her a playlist and try to keep up on anything in the future too 😀

No , she is the most beautiful and inspiring vocalist on planet earth full stop, her recent performance on a Russian show ( my loft ) of Rechenka left the host speechless, he simply gave her a big hug , words don’t do her justice, she deserves world recognition, keep reacting thank you ,I’m daz from australia
She was 15 years old in this performance, this was the first song i heard from her and i was instantly hooked.
You said that she can probably sing everything, well she has sang everything, she likes to change genres all the time you can never tell what is going to be next, the only genre she has yet to delve in to is Metal and until very recently Opera, but she did Opera and of course like everything else sounded out of this world.
Many people have said that she sounds "evil" but i disagree, i think that a more accurate description is that she sounds Celestial, like the voice of some kind of Higher being that is trying to communicate with us, her voice is the voice of mother Earth.
Do not be afraid to hear her sing in other languages too, French and especially Russian are some of her best stuff.
I can’t wait from more! As she’s really becoming one my favorites ! Much love

Angelina emotes better than Dimash, women in general emote better in music than men, because they are at their core more in contact with their emotions, more guided by them. And I agree, with Diana you get a wave of emotional energy I have only really seen similar in Fado. But even then without those heavy other-worldy vocals. Her voice is tuned to the human soul, and I'm not even being metaphorical, it's why most people break out in goosebumps without even reflecting on what's going on... Pure life energy. Hi! Some consider the style in which Diana performs covers of well-known hits to be gloomy, gloomy and even sinister. Realize you went back in time 3 years from her previous performance, which was already 2 years ago. And it was of course amazing. Imagine what she can sing now ;) I would go through her whole catalog for reactions, regardless of sung language, as she is consistently excellent.
If you want to do something current, do Winter without snow and/or Romeo and Juliet. Both are russian, both have english subtitles, and she will not claim copyright off songs reacted from her channel.
Just one observation: she speaks russian, is learning english. To my knowledge she does not speak other languages, she just learns the songs. Most europeans can vocalize other languages, does not mean we actually know them!

Great review Sarge. She has an amazing voice control. But I am a fan. So what can I say other than WOW. Now if you what to hear this same kind of combination of head and chest vocals simultaneously which very few people do. I suggest you check out a up and coming singer from the UK. Her name is Lucy Thomas. Now she is a classical singer but her voice and control will very gently grab your soul. Nothing she has recorded is anything but just perfect in every way.

@@SargeStreams I might suggest you try Lucy’s cover of “Hallelujah” first. It’s been covered by hundreds of singers and her version was picked for the movie “A Wing and a Pryer”. Starring Dennis Quade. Her cover has around 50 million views.
She also has amazing larynx control to get the sound she wants.

About the song "Rechenka": This is an old ritual song about an orphan bride. The girl has no parents. The river was considered the boundary between the world of the living and the dead.
