MF is giving up one of my secrets... Dude.... STOP! No but seriously, you guys will be surprised how effective this is. Grass lines, points, channels swings. I do use the Exoswim for this. Bigger body and in my opinion it makes a big disturbance in the water. When you watch those Exoswims 'fall' they are very random and natural. Great technique.
This is why I like Ben, he doesn’t just talk about a technique like Pros or other people, he actually catches a fish for the purpose of the video, that alone is a confidence booster, if a pro can’t catch them on a Pro Bass boat with all the equipment they have, how can I catch them from a cheap boat with no electronics or from the bank ? thank you Mr. Milliken 😎🥳👍🤝👌🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
I grew up finesse fishing I learned from my dad. Today I don't think he even realized what style we where throwing, he knew it just worked. We've been ahead of the RUclips game for 20+ years. Finesse Carolina, drop shot, finesse Texas rigged baits etc. I use teqniues I don't hear a lot about on RUclips and absolutely kill 20-30 fish a day with just the one style of fishing. Drop shotting especially. I remember my dad using this because that's how you fish Saltwater Rockfish. He used it in the lakes thinking the same idea about losing just the weight instead of everything. This goes back to the early 90s.
Alot of OG's fish that with an open bell / unlocked reel. The reason you don't pin the weight is so the fish can take the bait and the line will slide through the weight so the fish never feels it
I'm new to all of the rigs and knots you guys use. I watch your channel and Josh's(PigPatrol) channel all the time. Do you have any tutorials on the knots you use? I have been using the uni-knot for tying on my lures and haven't had a problem. Just looking to expand the skillset. Let me know if you can.
Hey Ryan just watching this video and saw your knot ? 1 ) uni is a pretty good knot that is super easy to tie, it’s about a 90-95% strength knot on mono line from what I can see. 5-6 turns with smaller line 6-12 pound test. 2) from watching SaltStrong videos, on braid it’s stronger if you go through the hook eye twice when you start and then more wraps. I usually do at least 7. 3) for fluoro this is really tough but to get up to a 95% knot double your line through the hook eye like a Palomar knot and tie the uni with both strands held together like a single line. You will end up with 3 tag ends to trim. I usually only do this when I first rig up because it’s pretty hard. 4) for connection knots a uni on uni works pretty well especially if no braid is involved. It there is braid to mono or fluoro leader I prefer the Alberto. Quicker and easier to tie and sometimes the braid will slip the jam of the uni connection knot. One day I will learn the fg knot but it takes a long time to learn and also to tie. 5) uni can also be used to create a strong loop knot, which I use on top water baits. Run the line thru the lure tie and then back around itself, then tie the uni onto the line itself. Roland Martin has a good video on this and other uni knot applications. Hope this helps good fishing!
Ehhh not really. The key to this rig is that the weight is separated from the bait/hook allowing the bait to float slightly off the bottom with a free flowing action
I tried!!! Mystery tackle box couldn't even ship my first box to the proper address...had to cancel because they took no blame for there mistake and put the blame on UPS. THIS VETERAN IS VERY DISAPPOINTED....But moving on to monster bass...first box was amazing.
New take on an old school rig. Who's going to try it?
Mystery Tackle Box Me!
i might try it tonight cause the bite was tough this morning
my exoswims come in tomorrow so i will use them!

Thanks for the tips DAD!!!
Never used the carolina rig but might have to try it out
Dude!! Is that an MFER series spinning rod!!! Been waiting for the release. Awesome vid. Gonna use this advice next time out. Peace!
Nice setup. I like the Carolina rig stuff. Gonna try that with my son.
Do you tie braid to swivel then the leader?
So the swimbait won’t roll around without a belly weighted hook??
How does this fishing technique differ from a split shot rig, aside from being more weedless?
Alot of OG's fish that with an open bell / unlocked reel. The reason you don't pin the weight is so the fish can take the bait and the line will slide through the weight so the fish never feels it
Was that a weighted hook ? Or just a normal weedless style hook
what fishing conditions are good for finesse Carolina rig?
what was your rod/reel set-up? Length,weight, action : Gear ratio, size ?
Even he was surprised he caught one on it 😂
Going to try that this weekend
Good vid I wonder if a large curly tail wouldn't be a good one too. Yeah he caught one for the vid.

Yoinked Oliver's sidechick rig Milli
looks awesome!
Will it work for the ned rig
Ehhh not really. The key to this rig is that the weight is separated from the bait/hook allowing the bait to float slightly off the bottom with a free flowing action
1/0 hook and a Ned worm style bait works 😉
@@anythingbryan thanks
How would this work when fishing off the bank?
Great! That's mainly what it's intended for. Slowly dragging through offshore rock or brush piles
Shew the old ball and chain. I only pick that up in any size when it tough. lol
Good ole Carolina rig
Thx for the vid
Hell yes millikan
That might have been the fastest comment of all time

Sorry to see you go but our customer service team will still get you your box if UPS lost it for you!
#Bigbassdreams

Whats' the difference between this and the mojo rig? Serious question, not being a jerky boy.
Isn’t this just a mojo rig
Am I Trippin. Or dose Milliken Remind you of that Homosexual from family guy or ?????
Isnt this just a Mojo rig??????????????? Designed to fish submerged vegitation
Solid 4 lbs bass...It's funny how it looks more like 1lb 4 oz
Everything looks smaller on camera lol. Have you never caught a 4lber? Looks like a 4 to me. 🤷
