No need to change the board , if doing an EICR .. perfectly adequate... too many sparks out there , demanding a board change,, when there is absolutely no need ,, customers are getting ripped off and pressurised to spend another £ 600 -700 on something totally unnecessary., , That Consumer Unit is Satisfactory . Code C3 at the very most ... !!! ..
Why would I as a homeowner wish to pay a few hundred pounds to change from a plastic to metal box?????
As long as your electrics has been electrically tested properly, and you have RCD protection it’s okay.
Changing your Consumer unit to Metal, is just another means of protection if a fire happens it won’t spread.
