The Last Episode (Teardown + The Entire Series in One Video)

- This is the entire series in one video and the ending. I felt like I’ve reached the end of this tank’s journey. Moving twice in the last 2 years, and moving to a place with old pipes was too hard on this tank.
I re-edited the entire series. I was just going to stitch the videos together, but I found a typo here and there. For example I said “it was like groundhug day” when I meant groundhog day.
I did have to change some of the music, b/c you know, youtube.
The conclusion:
Most of the plants you see at the end are pearl grass, hornwort, and guppy grass.
I did feed the tank with a little bit of fish flakes every day. That’s why the plants were still healthy when I tore down the tank. There were some shrimp still living, and most of them were transferred to the volcano tank. All of the hair grass melted b/c they couldn’t get any light. I was really surprised to see that so many plants still did well when I stopped trimming them. While re-editing the videos, I got to take the journey of this tank again. When I first started this series, I remembered having lowkey fun doing youtube videos. This is a simple channel. My little sandbox, if you will. A little corner of the shallow end of the pool where I dip my legs in and read a book or something. But as the months went by, more and more people came in and it became something much bigger than I would have ever imagined. Most people were so nice and made me feel overwhelmed, since I’m just an ordinary guy. Then there were those who reached out b/c they wanted something from me. It would take several hours for me to tell you all the horror stories pertaining to this channel. I don’t think you would believe me. My brother’s wife’s sister’s best friend contacted me when she realized this channel’s sub count number, b/c she wanted a free consultation for her youtube channel.
Anyhow, this was too long already. I saved the plants for future projects.
Curry is doing well these days. She still eats and drinks on her own. We still feed her medicine and water four times a day.
Hindsight is always 20/20. Some of the decisions I made with this tank were super hard, and I tried to make the best decision I could at the time. For example, figuring out how to remove a tiny fish in a heavily planted tank without destroying the tank. That idea took me two days to come up with it. You can see that at 17:56

I honestly had a feeling this was going to happen because you had this tank for a few years but the soil substrate can only last for a certain amount of time and I assume once the nutrients was finally gone the plants was starting to go down and the life cycle of the tank was finally over I had a feeling this was honestly coming up.
Please tell me you’re going to continue making videos, we’ll miss you.
I accidentally found you one day in my recommended about 2-3 years ago. It was the best accident I ever came across. Thank you for adding a little more joy to my days. I'm a 37 year old grown up guy living in a fishing-village, after I lived 35 years in a metrople. I was married, I had a job in the tech-industry, I spent my time in-between concrete-blocks and traffic.
Watching this somehow triggered me very hard. It made me cry. It was like putting my life under a microscope and suddenly seeing the whole image. I didn't cry a single time, when I got divorced, moving to another country, leaving 35 years of my life behind - with just 2 bags.
But right now my tears are running down like ... I don't know. It feels like geeting a therapy, that I didn't know, I need.

Can’t believe it’s come to an end. It’s crazy one minute I’m in high school watching to destress and relax next thing I’m in college still doing the same. It’s been amazing seen this tank develop.

I first discovered this wonderful little channel, not knowing how deeply this aquarium hobby went. You were the gateway that revealed to me this entire microcosm. I had a broken arm and was cooped up inside thanks to a certain disease that will go unnamed. My mental health was plummeting fast. Then a video about an aquarium's shrimp feeding frenzy popped up out of nowhere. Your videos were the one thing that helped me stay calm and soothed for these last few years. When I was down in the dumps, I would watch your latest video and feel all the better for it. After a successful week, your videos were the icing on the cake. When I had trouble sleeping, your music and soothing visuals worked every single time. I feel so honored that I got to be apart of this channel/series' journey, even if I joined late and only watched silently.

Omg, it’s literally the same for me. I am suffering from a panick disorder. And these videos just simply calmed my brain. Nothing ever helped me but this lately. I still remember watching these videos when they came out a few years ago. As a student with a screwed-up sleep schedule, these series helped lull me to sleep. When I graduated I eventually forgot about this only to come back with this, the last episode. What a ride. Thank you for the videos!

I think the reason your channel prospered the way it did is because you are authentic and really just a guy who loves this stuff and wants to share it with the world. the simplicity of your videos (that doesn't mean they are simple at all) absorbed me from the second I started watching. Had special memory with this series, I was in my fourth year of college, I had exam and due dates next day, but instead of doing the work I had to do I binge watched this series until 4:30 am-ish, I studied a bit until 6am, woke up at 10 am feeling super tired, looked at my phone to check if I had missed any message, realized that my ex-gf broke up with me. Revisiting this series brings me immense emotional impact. Thank you for making this, it's beautiful, feels like a saving grace during a tiring life period

This just feels like an eternity and a such a short time all at once.
I started watching your videos since around 2019. It has been such a long time since then and seen from the present it feels it was so long ago.
I was emotionally devastated back then. But whenever your channel's notification popped up I would get so happy to have a moment to immerse myself in such calm and beautiful videos of yours.
As time passed I guess I got better. I haven't 100% recovered yet but I want to thank you a lot for being a little peaceful place to take a rest away from reality.
I remember the volcano tank video, which was the first video of yours I ever watched.
I remember being super invested and watching like 10 videos a day from your channel.

You've come through so many things and kept us updated on this great journey, which inspired countless others to have interest in fish and fish tanks, and make tanks of their own.
Not only keeping a channel but also for having steady updates for 5+ years is not a easy thing at all. It takes a lot of time and effort. But you made it. I just really want to point out that you did a great job going through all this, and that I am so thankful of what you gave us.
It doesn't matter if you keep updating or not. It's all up to you and no one can force you since it's you who accomplished all this.
