Three Ball Acrylic Method (Tutorial)

  • Three ball acrylic method: In this video I show how to do acrylic nails using the three ball method. In my opinion this is the best way for beginners to learn how to apply acrylic nails. Now a lot of beginners will attempt to learn the one ball acrylic method before mastering the three ball acrylic method and end up failing miserably. So what’s the lesson? Beginners should master the three ball acrylic method first there are no two ways about it.
When you go to nail school more than likely the three ball method is what you’ll learn. When you’re learning the three ball method it’s important to visualize the nail in three zones and then you’ll place one ball in each zone thus the name three ball method.
So when learning the three ball method it’s important that you first know you’re acrylic’s product ratio. This is a must. If you don’t know this and attempt to apply three ball method or any acrylic method you won’t be successful.
The next thing you need to be successful when applying the three ball method is to know the parts of your brush and be comfortable using your brush. This will allow you to control the acrylic and place it where you want it to go.
The cuticle ball, which is the third ball in the three ball acrylic method, is perhaps the trickiest to master because it’s placed close to the skin so it’s very easy to apply acrylic to. You will have to practice this a lot to make sure you’re only applying acrylic to the nail.
The best way to practice the three ball method is to put tips on a toothpick or orange stick. This will allow you to easily look at the nails from all angles, which is important to make sure that you are building the acrylic nail correctly,
So if you’re a beginner who wants to learn how to do acrylic nails then this video is for you. I will give a complete tutorial on how to do the three ball method and then when you gain experience you can learn the two or one ball method.

Lord thank you for this woman!! First person ever to go literally in depth over the 3 ball method and exactly where to put them. A lot of the techs on here will talk about it and explain it to you but not physically show you. Thank you so much!!!

I have watched so many "how to apply acrylic nails" videos and never once have I heard them tell us to watch the acrylic ball and wait for the powder to all turn from white powder to something like a pearl. I've seen them pause but nobody has said why or what they were waiting for. I think this will really help with the powder to liquid ratio guess work. It's not really guess work after at all, is it. By looking at the subjects of some of your other videos I believe you will be answering many of the questions I have been looking for answers to and have never found. (I literally have watched hundreds of videos.) Thsnx so much. I really appreciate your style.

I just wanted to thank you for posting all of this valuable information! I'm about to take the plunge and try doing my own acrylics and hopefully give my Mom her first ever set for her class reunion. After watching your videos, I feel so much better because I bought the right stuff for the job and after some practice, I think I'm ready for the next step. I haven't found anyone else that is so honest and real, and that's hard to find. I also like that you use humor in your videos and it isn't just a dry presentation. You kept my full attention. THANK YOU for doing this video!!!! I have learned so much. I'm not good at doing acrylic and had a lot of filing to do, air bubbles in the nails, plus my brushes always ended up with harden acrylic that would have to pick off (I bought a starter kit with everything in it). I'm definitely going to get a Kolinsky brush and use your technique. I'm so glad found you! This video is perfect for us beginners, just awesome!! ❤❤
