You can definitely tell Ace’s style, you can hear it in his tone and the way he picks. He really digs in hard and gets these biting tones. Also, his amps sound awesome.
I was 7 years old when this came out in ‘77 and it was the coolest thing I had ever experienced. My older brother bought Destroyer when it came out and I was hooked for the rest of my childhood. KISS was epic and the ultimate cool thing to a kid back in that time.

I remember KISS, the mystique around the band but I can't recall much besides what a child would remember, like thinking the makeup WAS their real faces. Archival Footage allows me to time travel back to the 70's with adult eyes.

Yes he's back alright but he left his guitar playing abilities somewhere. Trainwreck. He even said in a recent interview that Tommy Thayer plays KISS songs perfectly but Ace said he plays them the way they're meant to be played. Sloppily. I can't make this stuff up.

Ace has never been the perfect guitar player, but he has the vibe and charisma to play solos like Ace ;), even if I am sleeping, I can hear the difference between Thommy, Bruce, Vinnie whoever is trying to play Deuce Solo, Ace is God!

Ace is the reason why I learned how to play the guitar and I still do. Because of Ace Frehley and his choice of guitars, I will only play Gibson Les Paul's. Thank you, Ace!
