Hey nice Factory. :) More Tips for you: Middle Mouse is to Pick any Object to build. Thats what you find out in the Video. You can also press Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to Copy and Add the configuration of your buildings to another. And when your Jetpacks buggs and still want to fly higher you should press the key again on your keyboard to cancel this. It works for me. :D When you go up spam the space bar and it cancels. :D So nice work! And wish you the best
Thanks brotha. I think I was the only one in the world that did t know about the middle mouse button. I am all over copy and pasting recipes….that is a huge one for big factories like this. Thanks for the tips on the bugged out hover pack. That too appears to have been widely known, but I am glad I have you guys around to fill me in!
I don’t do any mods, but I have been thinking about it for the exact reason you mention. It would be nice to have a clear screen for these videos. At least I can finally put my coffee cup away!
Ahh. That sounds right to me as I was going up when I opened that menu. Easy solution as well! I knew that somebody would know what was going on. Thanks!
the bug with the hoverpack getting stuck in a direction happens when youre holding a directional button whilest opening a container and such. just tap that direction once and it will get unstuck.
I'm Kibitiz posted a Tip video. I suggest you watch it as it has a number of key bindings that you will find a blessing. IE: Try holding down shift (left or right have diff results) and p whilst scrolling during placing assemblers down.
I prefer to embarrass myself finding out something obvious in front of thousands in public rather than efficiently learn in the comfort of my own unfilmed home But I will check it out. Thanks for the tip
@@DrLootCrate I meant it as a friendly tip.. I've sat there putting assembly/ constructors down one by one too. Even foundations lol. I personally would prefer embarrassment over self inflicted torture any day of the week. :)
@@pllot7072 I knew you were friendly. I was just laughing at myself for not knowing some of this stuff already. I am going to fire method up tomorrow and I am looking forward to it
Somebody else told me. It happens when you open a menu while you are holding down space, locking you into going up. If you press space again you will “unlock” and can go back down. Weird bug! 🐛
You... you didn't know of the middle mouse button? How have you played this game? Anyway, I believe multiple congratulations are in order: 1: Beautiful factory completed. Work well done. It is a stunning building. 2: Over 1000 subscribers! I am really happy for you. You deserve it. So, congratulations x2.
Sad, right? I should probably check all the button mappings one of these days to see what I am missing! Thanks for the kind words my friend! Much appreciated!
This is inspiring work. Do you have any videos you've made, or that you recommend, on designing walkability into factories? I am building my first big Tier 7/8 factories ever right now, and mostly keeping the math working, but I always wind up with a bunch of floating bricks. How do you think about these problems?
This is a pretty good idea for a video, but I haven’t worried it about it for a while since I design with a hover pack in mind. You kind of have two options - build your machine really close and make walkways/catwalks around them or spread out the machines. Lifts are quite useful in this regard to make sure you don’t always have to jump a belt
@@DrLootCrate Thanks. I think I am getting the hang of walkability on a given factory floor using walkways and stairs, the thing that trips me up is how to lay out the various floors and buildings in a base such that moving between them makes any sense. If that makes sense. Like, I know it's not necessary for factories to be walkable, but it is so much more satisfying and immersive when they are, you know?
@@touchthesun ah I get it. If you look at my fused modular frames factory, I laid out kind of a central “road”. I made a walkway on top, ran some belts underneath. I knew I was going to build at the base of that waterfall and found what nodes I was going to use. So I just made a long row of foundation in the direction I wanted to build right from the edge of my first building of the giant factory. It gave me a nice central thing to work around and gave it a real city feel. I would assume if you build like you are going to use a truck for transport and just walk, that would work well
@@DrLootCrate Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll check out that video. Just got my 200 Control Rod/min factory running, and I am wishing I had given more thought to how to make it walkable before I started.

Hey! I have been following you for a week now. I love the way your whole world looks. Nice work!!! Continue this way.
I will continue this way Lucas don’t you worry! Thanks for the sub and glad you liked the vid
DrLootCrate, once again, another fantastic and beautiful build. Thank you for sharing it. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks again my friend. There will be some more coming for sure
Great looking factory! Well done building around and preserving the environment :)
Thanks bud! And thanks for stopping by.
Skip the hover Pak and use the JustFly mod. Plus you won’t have those controls in-hand cluttering the GREAT views! Awesome work for sure. ❤

You’re automatically hovering because you’re holding your jump button while opening the menu!
The Biodome looks SICK btw :)

Thanks dude. It was a long time coming…probably half of it in train rides to the other side of the map to pick up more silica
You're making the Hulk blush with this factory....
Thanks Vitty!
Sweet factory dude
Sweet comment dude! Thanks!

ur hover pack is not bugging out, its because u "fly" and open inventory, and that doesnt deactivate the "flying" :)
When your hover pack sends you to the moon, just hit C or Space twice. Can't remember exactly which one.

Andreas, you have a keen eye my friend! I noticed that while I was editing and went back and fixed it "off camera". Thanks for the heads up!
