At 17:35 that building behind the phone box was that a club and a arcade over the road from it because i have fond memories of it back in the 70's.
Our family spent 1973 and 1974 summer holidays in Jaywick. I wouldn't change it for anything. Wonderful memories.
Thank you for posting this. Found it while researching the Salton Sea in California, a somewhat similar situation.
Wow at 7:32 i remember that used to be an arcade i believe part of the sign is still visible today!!
Such a lovely beach.
LOVE the beach clean. Next, a village grass cutting. A Village trash collection. A village workforce.
Voodoo ray was the tune back in 1988-89
Paula Walsh That's what makes Jaywick unique. Only we could have a 31st of February
Well spotted!
To answer my own question, this must have been broadcast in 1989 because at 4:50 it's mentioned that 36 years have passed since the 1953 flood.
You can tell from the old posh broadcasting voiceover that it must be a few years ago.
Arthur Daley at 8.23
When was the programme originally broadcast?
1989
Is that club still open I wanna go?
No
@@kevphillips02 oh man, so where they all hanging out now?
The floods were the night of 31st January 1953 not the 31st of February (which there isn't anyway ) as he said
