Nice set up 👍🏼 What size of pond liner did you use on that pond?

      I believe it was a 25' by 25' liner.
The brand was 45mil firestone liner.

Do you use a uv clarifier as well or just bog filter and what is the size of the bog proportional to the pond, very nice and enjoyable video thank you

I do have a UV clarifier installed, but It hasn't been plugged in for 2 years now. So it is probably the bogs and this other device I use called a grander energy rod: www.harvesthaven.com/products/grander-immersion-energy-rods.

Are you talking about the oase pond vac 5 I am using to clean it? Or the pump I have hooked up to the pond itself?

I haven't got to that yet. Still need to look into it. Was just mentioning in the video that it is something I will probably do later on.

Your brave. I wouldnt use anything rented that would go into my pond that was in others ponds. Way too easy to spread parasites and such.. but great video on this cleaning process!!!

Yes you are right it is risky to do so. However the only part that went in the pond was the intake pipe. And that pipe is typically dried out by the sun before it is rented. So a very low chance of causing an issue.

I used to have a vegi filter on my koi pond but i didn't have any way to clean it easily and ended up removing it, a shame because it looked good when all the plants were growing.

Ya it can be tough to clean but are very beneficial to the overall ecosystem of the pond. A ponds functionality is based on the nitrogen cycle. The fish produce waste in the form of ammonia from their breathing and pooping. Nitrosomonas bacteria then start to grow and break down the ammonia into nitrites. Than another bacteria nitrospira start to grow and convert those nitrites into nitrates. Those nitrates are than absorbed by the plants. So the plants clean the water for the fish and the fish supply the nutrients for the plants.
Having a bog allows you to do less water changes due to the plants removing the fish waste from the pond.
