As a former Greyhound bus driver, I'm glad that the owner of the gas station cancelled their agreement with Greyhound using their bus station at their gas station.
Yup! Sign of Greyhound’s greed. I can only think of how they treated their workers.
Yeah, that's completely ridiculous. I'd cancel that deal in a heartbeat. Good on them for doing so.
After 14.5 years as a driver, I am SOOO glad I left. I did not feel comfortable treating people in that manner. Knoxville is a transfer point. That is UNACCEPTABLE.
Greyhound treats their customers terribly!
I worked at a Greyhound station for 23 years until some brain dead bean counter based in Germany apparently decided it'd be more cost effective to have no personnel at key transfer sites than having personnel at said key transfer sites.
The federal government needs to show Greyhound the Radio!
Greyhound is trash. This is the last resort for people that are low income that cannot travel any other way. And they know that and they take advantage of it so they do not care. The facilities that they do have that are indoor are dated dilapidated and are lacking of any maintenance and they are not sanitary. This predatory corporation does not care where it finds a tenant to park its buses to drop off and abandon its customers. Most of the Greyhound stops are in the bad side of town that are not safe. Stay away from the Greyhound. You are better off hitchhiking
Right.
Good someone is kicking them out. They need the stations but are trying to be cheap
Greyhound would either say "No Comment" or "This situation is under investigation" somewhere along those lines. This is utterly ridiculous, especially since Greyhound is ALWAYS LATE! Imagine having this as your last stop and you need to get off her at 4pm, but you were dropped off at 11pm?
Sign of the times. Sold off the building, no lease or associated cost such as utilities, insurance, property taxes and more importantly no staff needed to manage a 24 hour facility.
A German company bought Greyhound and is closing all their stations. You must also buy all tickets online. Their saving all that money and they raised all ticket prices. They paid $140 Million for the company and will make that back on property sales. Add the cost savings, plus higher ticket prices and we need the federal regulators to step in and mandate proper indoors waiting areas. I hate mandates too; but imagine waiting in a below zero snowstorm,; or 110 degree heat.
@@donniekadventures432 WOW! It was bad enough when Trailways got taken over by Greyhound resulting in zero competition, work force consolidation and reduced service. I wouldn't be surprised if in the minds of the current "Go Green or be damned" political administration they are hoping all those nasty fossil fuel burning polluting diesel buses go away.
Greyhound’s Magnolia Avenue station was put up for sale in 2020 - more than a year before the company was sold to German Flixbus.
I have taken Greyhound years ago for interstate travel. Most stations contained a fast food restaurant where I enjoyed the food. Some stops involved being next to a McDonald's where I ate a Big Mac. 1 stop contained a casual restaurant with home cooking meals.
Flix is the company that owns Greyhound and is closing the stations.
Greyhound is selling off terminals in order to show, some profit. At the expense of the safety of passengers! So happy I got out of that company. Workers are expected to do so much work for chump change
Greyhound is sinking like the Titanic, they should have been nicer to customers like me, now, they are obviously in financial trouble, having their customers sit on the ground, they can't afford to keep those huge iconic buildings anymore, because of the lack of riders, that's my assumption.
Greyhound is even worse after flixbus bought them. Lots of routes are just gone.
I remember traveling from texas to florida on Greyhound back in 96, the experience was wayyyy different. Such shame it has come to this
*** Flixbus. You're messing up big time. QUIT CLOSING THE GREYHOUND BUS TERMINALS. It isn't safe dropping people off at bus stops or making them wait there. Criminals are lurking and eventually you're going to be hit with a major class action. Spend the money.
Welcome to FlixBus ownership of Greyhound
I had a bad experience in Mississippi at a very tight restroom that was very icky. Looks like one of my favorite companies is struggling. They probably will go under. It ain’t looking good! But then again, what is???…🤔😳
Greyhound has completely "gone to the dogs." They are so desperate they are replacing terminals with truck stops, bus stops, gas stations, and park benches. I haven't ridden Greyhound in close to 30 years, and I truly believe if I were desperate I'd risk losing my head to a serial killer on a hitchhike before I take one again. I fly any trip over 3 hours one-way anyway, but I'm just saying.
just what you would expect from a filthy rich company .
new motto : leave the driving to us .
where you poop is your business .
Of course grayhound isn't gonna respond back they don't care and if you try to call customer service there in India what kind of help is that? They really need to be shut down completely.
Thank you
That's crazy
Affirmative action killed greyhound.
I have to go to the Indianapolis bus station and im scared to death, i might not even get in.
This is dumb Greyhound company makes good money I don't understand this
What a joke.
Everybody is selling out because fellow humans have less money than they prefer
How The Hell Can Greyhound Keep Comeing Back. Same Old Thing. Next Thay Are Bank Rup. It's A Repeat.
This stop looks OK. compare the one we have in harlingen looks like a homeless shelter
Same similar thing happened in Mount Laurel NJ where I’m from. The old building closed for good with no warning to customers and a sign was left there stating the building is permanently closed and now you have to wait on a hotel parking lot for it to arrive. Sometimes the bus doesn’t show up on the time expected and worse sometimes not at all. Greyhound Bus Transportation is awful and has been for many years. Don’t ever use their service.
So they've actually sold the parking lot which was the reason for the terminal in the first place! I'd just drive to exit 5 and Acadamy!
@@troybellamy4615 Small world I live 5 minutes from the Westampton Academy Bus Terminal. Also thanks for telling me the reason for Greyhound Terminal’s closing.
0:50 she said a bottle of wooder 😂 shoulda also said sodie pop
You sound childish, grow up
Maybe they should stop being so cheap and partner with KAT bus.
That Morristown station is already gone i hear................
Why would Greyhound do that?? I mean that building was the towns bus station!
When the firm was sold, no properties were included in the deal! 1st group now is free to get market rates for these properties!
@@troybellamy4615 ok
Winter coming passengers will be left out n the cold
Will Greyhound give them a hotel voucher
Try that in Iran
Geez are riders not allowed any safety at all???
Are there any bus company alternatives to Greyhound?
Corporateria's cleptoparasitic practitioners
Sorry but that's the cost of cheap ,low cost transportation. Definitely no frills !!!
