  • In late June, Greyhound traded their Filbert Street bus terminal for a small office on Market Street. It now operates similar to other budget bus companies, with travelers waiting on the sidewalk for transfers and pick-ups. There is no indoor waiting area, seats or bathrooms.

To get to AC , you can jump on the PATCO Speed line, and get off in Lindenwold. There is a bus that will take you to Atlantic City, and at the Lindenwold Station, there are bathrooms. The AC bus is not express. Want to get to AC faster, then right in the Lindenwold station, look for a door, almost next to the Patco entrance. This is the commuter rail to Atlantic City. When you enter buy your tickets. It's less than 30 minutes to Atlantic City, for a nice comfortable ride. If you are hungry or thirsty, go outside and walk straight across the park lot, if you see a fast food place, Burger King , I think, then across from them will be a full service diner . Really good food and service, clean bathrooms. Open 24 hours a day. Don't forget to buy tickets for all traveling, before you board the train. There are machines inside the front entrance doors, and more I think on the platform. Bring cash, and a valid credit card. There's no ticket agents at the station, or on the train. NJT though very customer friendly on the train, does not take kindly to fare evaders. This is not Philly's SEPTA, or the MARKET FRANKFORD EL, or BROAD STREET SUBWAY.

This will kill the company. They are not giving you a super discount to make up for the lack of shelter and restrooms. People experiencing this will either switch to a true no frills discount bus service or seek another way to travel.
Assuming they are not idiots then they must know this and don't care.

Philadelphia needs to invest in a modern bus terminal hub. The Government there has really run that city into the ground. Start charging for restrooms it may keep the riff raff out. They charged years ago and it's a common thing in The EU. Put an attendant in the lavs. Keep up with the waiting and seating areas and you can have a world class and great bus depot for the citizens who use it inbound and outbound and deserve it. And add a couple of FRIENDLY knowledgeable agents. 🚌 Have the station protected by Police or Security Guards. 🇺🇲 Good Luck beautiful Philadelphia!
