Maybe if you watched FT, you will be surprised how good the story is. It has always been negative on the anime fandom. It had good foreshadowing but people don't focus on it cause they tried to be negative. It feels like people think that FT is just shounen with no nice storyline and mystery. The drama is amazing. 😉
It's fun. It gets a bad rep because it pales in comparison to the other great shounen of it's time. I mean just look at who it was competing with - One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Gintama, Fullmetal Alchemist.

Fairy tail has 328 episodes ,with 9 OVA and 2 movies ,it has 63 volumes with 545 chapters and currently have 72 million copies in circulation ,and for the sequel Fairy tail 100 years quest it currently have 10 volumes with 99 chapters and still on going ,the anime will come out soon 👆
Yeah the art of mashima has been improve ,fairy tail art style in the manga is so lit and the art style for the sequel has been illustrated by different person but it's still almost the same as mashima art style and the story is still written by mashima he can't draw fairy tail because he's also doing another manga which is Eden's Zero so basically he's doing 2 on going manga at the same time ,but there's a different person doing the art for Fairy tail

Great reaction! Loved hearing your thoughts as someone going in blind. It would be cool if you react to all the endings for fairytail too - the visuals are really simple though so it would mostly be the songs that you're reacting to.
Also this is a big ask but would you consider reacting to the Fairytail anime on this channel? You could give it a try for a few eps and drop it if you're really not enjoying it. It's a pretty long series so I understand if that's not something you want to do. Just a heads up that the story doesn't pick up and truly start until about episode 11, before that it's like introductions and mini adventures - which I still find entertaining and necessary to introduce the story, but just letting you know beforehand since you dropped the manga after 1-2 volumes. So yeah, if you're finding it slow at first give it a chance to pick up before you make your decision!
Thanks! Yea as you said anime endings tend to be on the simpler side, and even the music tends to be chosen to be a bit more low key so I don't know how much I could have to say but maybe I'll do it and see if it's worth uploading
Yea I can check out the first few episodes at least. I feel like I won't get into it since I'm pretty impatient with media, but worth a shot!

in all honesty the fan service is very realistic in this show I see people complaining about it and saying the show has to much fan service but if you are constantly getting into fights where swords water and fire are involved do you really expect clothing to come out perfectly fine

I think the reason people say the story is boring is because its a much slower burn than other shonens. I still think the early arcs are super charming and fun but the story takes a while to really get into the meat and by that time people probably dropped it. I have my issues with the story and certain arcs, especially the end, but I think a lot more people would be positive about the show if they gave it some time

Fairy tail has many fan service especially OVA episodes but tbh I prefer fairy tail fan service over one piece fan service because fairy tail female characters has more realistic body shapes than one piece female characters
This anime is entirely subjective, most people hate this anime and some people love it, personally if you go in watching the anime with an open mind you'll probably like it
oh btw after the main series there is a newer manga series that's a continuation of fairytail
Fairy tail manga started at 2006 and ended on 2017 and the sequel started at 2018 and still on going
Fairy tail anime started on 2009 and ended on 2019
And for the new season there's still no release date
Fairy Tail is my 4th fav, the only problem it really has it the power of friendship, but honestly the story/backstory in this anime is the best for me, behind OP, it's so interesting, think a lot of ppl think it's just a fan service Comedy anime, but it lots of intense arcs and good fights
its a decent and pretty solid anime, tho its not AMAZING AND GOATED. Its still worth the watch.
The visuals of the opening 19 which you've reacted to don't seem to be the original visuals from that opening.
There is a possibility that there were two different versions of the visuals, but I'm not sure.
Fairy Tail is very chaotic in every way possible and it's very unique, but in the good kind of way. To date I feel FT is the best example of an anime that can juggle goofy fun, and dramatic seriousness, if you come looking for the former you get roped in by the latter and the very lovable cast, but if you only come seeking the latter, it is something you won't enjoy, as Fairy Tail is the kind of story that really holds you to your suspension of disbelief. All in all, it's the kind of ride that's a time commitment, but the payoff is oh, so worth it. Fairy Tail isn't the best at anything when compared to other stories in the genre, but damn it does it have heart and it's just all around good fun, and for those reasons the hate and animosity it has garnered is completely unfounded and unjustified, as it has never tried to be anything else, the series knows what it's trying to be, and it does it well, it falls unto others that they became disappointed from their own made-up preconceptions, as unfortunately, Fairy Tail was the newcomer on the block, so to speak, and was instantly piled on by the huge toxic followings of the already established hierarchy within the genre. Do with this information what you will, but nice review nonetheless.
In Fairy Tail it's not uncommon for certain characters (primarily Natsu and Lucy) to sometimes remain without clothes for various reasons and sometimes they must wear whatever they manage to find or improvise or whatever is given to them. Natsu's jacket in the opening 20 was one of such cases.
Fairytail had 3 low points . The initial 10 episodes.. The ending to a major arc in the middle.. And the ending to the final arc.. That has led to people discrediting the show all together which I don't think is fair...

Fairy tail is a slice of life anime.
There are comedy, action, adventure, some dark backstory, a bit of romance, etc.
But that's not the main point, the reason why people hate FT is because they think it's a action anime. And most people who hate FT is not japanese, because FT have hundreds of episode, 2 movies (i think) if japanese hate it, FT will not have that many episode.
When you watch FT, just watch 1 episode a day. Don't rush it, even with 1 episode a day you will not miss anything.
