I just have to ask: If Timaeus the Knight of Destiny on the field at the same time as The Wicked Avatar, go both of their ATKs go up forever like a Super Saiyan parody clip?
I am not 100% sure about this ruling, but I believe that the Wicked Avatar wins that battle. This is because Timaeus' effect is a quick ignition effect that changes it's ATK to match the highest ATK on the field, while the Avatar's effect is continuous. What this means is that once Timaeus' effect has finished resolving, it's ATK will be "set", and it will not recalculate itself again. Meanwhile, since the Avatar's effect is continuous, it automatically recalculates whenever there's a new highest ATK on the field so that it's always 100 higher. Thus, if Timaeus and the Avatar battle, the former will activate it's effect to match the highest ATK, then it will inmediatly be surpassed by the latter by 100 points... but it will remain on the field since it can't be destroyed by battle anyways.
@@CarDaMax1770 yeah this is correct. There is no way for any monster to beat The Wicked Avatar. Question is, how does Wicked Dreadroot interact with such effects? It is also a continious effect, so if you for example had a monster with 1000 attack(used to be 2000), and then used Honest while battling Dreadroot, does it get to 5000 or 2500?
Soul Crossing can also be used to summon a sphere mode to your side of the field using your opponent's monsters allowing you to go straight into the regular winged dragon of ra with the 4000 attack boost or to put up the sphere mode as a wall
At this point of the game, I think giving Osiris(Slifer) and Obelisk their full Anime/Manga effects ain't even too broken anymore. They'd be just right amount of power and protection for mega boss monsters nowadays. Unaffected by S/T but still a little bit hard to summon and have no negates shouldn't be too much. Not Ra tho, there's no way to fit all those original effects into one card. XD
If the card design of the god cards are like that of the pendulum monsters then they could possibly put those effects just like the Endymion pendulum monster. 😅😅😅
ngl I didn't think much of Ultimate Divine-Beast when it was announced, but when playing Master Duel the solo mode duel with Poker Knights Slifer vs "Bakura" w/ Necrofear & Destiny Board, I managed to put both Slifer & UDB on board by the second turn before Destiny Board got set up and they basically won the game for me. It still took something like 20 turns because they played Dark Door turn 1 and I didn't draw S/T removal for ages and because Slifer was out they kept setting their monsters to keep them from just dying to it's effect. They could stall but they couldn't establish the wincon because Destiny Board has to activate to make any progress which makes it nukable by UDB. It's amusing to me how the support that features Slifer in it's art hard countered Bakura's battle city strategy.
In master duel, I have an ojama deck that runs three slifer and two soul crossing as a tech option. Ever since I saw the duel logs play a deck like that, it was apparent that ojamas could spam out card advantage thru ojamagic and could get a lot of tribute fodder on the field thru ojamassimilation, plus thinning out the deck w things like the ojamatch and ojamassimilation vanish effects to cycle thru cards in deck to draw slifer and crossing. The end boards I can put out tends to look like an abc dragon buster for quick play banish disruption, four negate appoloussa, and attack mode slifer w usually 3-4k attack, having a really powerful floodgate effect to really make enemies pull their hair out. Super satisfying to pull off but the whole board dies to a dark ruler no more or forbidden droplet unfortunately, or even the sphere mode ra lol
In the YGO Arc V tag force I tried once experimenting Slifer with 1. Black Garden - it's token generation for tribute summon - attack decreasing effect when monsters are summoned (excluding flip summon and Slifer's tribute summon) 2. Monarch support cards - effects advantageous to and for tribute summoned monsters 3. Wicked Dreadroot - all face up monsters' attack are halved 4. Generic support and effect negation cards included in the game. It's kinda tedious, and the deck is not going to have synergy but it was just one of those gimmicks I wanted to try for an iconic YGO card. 😅😅😅
Without taking my Jewish heritage into account, I think Yu-Gi-Oh has played the biggest role in why Egyptian mythology is my favorite ancient mythology. The symbolism, the God Cards, Egypt-themed archetypes (some of which I like playing). Hell, a good chunk of season 5 takes place in Egypt. (There is a reason why I want Hieratic to get support beyond just a decent retrain of its boss monster that fits Egyptian mythology and a bad Rank-Up spell that can't be searched.)
this might sound weird but, if they make slifers and obelisk disciple they should make them pendulum cards, what funnier way to summond the gods then special summoning your entire hand except the gods and then tribute those monsters

I have a small Egyptian God deck, with Wicked Avatar on the side. And I have to say, it is one of the most fun Ive had with yugioh. The first game I played with it against my brother's ABCs, I managed to summon all 3 of the gods throught the match, after a few turns all fell one by one, Slifer got Raigeki'd, Ra got Gamacieled, but finally, Obelisk cleared the duel. Also once I managed to bait out Dragoon's negates, so I could summon Ra using god slime and the anchient chant to get it to 3K, then pay my lifepoints to boost it higher, and attack over it for victory. If I had a nickel everytime I attacked over Dragoon for game, Id have 2 nickels. Also for motivation I would blast "God's Anger" soundtrack from the movie everytime one of the gods hit the field.

Each of the god cards technically has its own entire theme to support it but since they don't explicitly State their names I guess they count as different archetypes. The face card theme is meant to be played with Slifer the Ra's disciple / slime theme is meant to support Ra and there's a new theme coming out that might have already come out meant for obelisk that is themed around fiend cards that Kaiba used

Either way, it references Re-Horakhty, one of the most powerful gods in Egyptian mythology. Basically, make Ra and Horus do the Fusion Dance. You get a being whose name means "Re, Hur of the Two Horizons". (Re and Hur are Ra and Horus's names in ancient Egyptian, respectively.) It exists because Ra/Re is the sun god, the sun is in the sky, Horus is *a* sky god, and Horus's eyes were said to be the sun and the moon. I personally go with Horakhty because of the cultural connections, but I'm not sure what it is officially because it never got a TCG printing 😭

I made a slifer the sky dragon deck with dark magician and it's so fun and strong to play. I liked it so much I made my own anime show on my channel 😎👍
Given how broken new archetypes are, they should just give the god cards all of their anime effects + can’t be targeted. Don’t think it would change the meta at all but would definitely make the gods more viable without relying on 10 spell or traps that you may or may not have in your hand/field when you do get a god card summoned.
Pegasus made a second Ra card but it was killing people then it was stolen by a worker when they were going to seal it away and the card he used was the only thing keeping him alive because it was locking Ra's power.
It really makes me sad these cards aren't playable even at Rouge levels. So much investment for a monster that can be defeated with ease by the boss monsters of every other archetype or simple spells or traps that destory.
I prefer more on the Japanese dub for slifer: Osiris no tenku ryu. Dt~ heavenly dragon of Osiris. It seems very weird from those dishonest translation to use Slifer. Also i hope there will be more support for Obelisk and Osiris parallel to Sacred beast archetype . Thus we will see more competitive play from them.
"It's not a monster, it's a god" ~ Seto Kaiba. The creators intended the God cards to not be counted as monsters, yet ya'll let MTG players muck it up. It went from always having a God card to never playing it.
Okay real talk the real cards feel like a very hard down grade from their anime counterparts, cause I personally believe that...the Sacred Beast are better. MOSTLY because the Sacred Beasts have unified support cards, personalized supports, and main deck & extra monsters that side them in their game plans even with assorted tech picks.
I wonder if they'll ever (not likely) fix their effects to make them stronger since they're now some of the most mediocre cards. Beside Ra, he's been nerfed to crap since his debut...

@@carpedm9846 yeah anyway imperm?

"yeah sure draw the out."
The out: literally any effect negation.
man if only they errata'd that divine-beast type are unneffected by other card effects they'd be so much better
XD
They couldn't even fit all of Ras effects in the anime!
So they definitely had no chance of pulling it off in the tcg!
They could put a link on the ra's card text that sends you to an article titled "Hubris."
If the card design of the god cards are like that of the pendulum monsters then they could possibly put those effects just like the Endymion pendulum monster. 😅😅😅
Back in my days, we play yugioh on giant stone tablets so we could fit all the texts. Still, nobody reads any of them
I summon Slifer the executive producer
Slifer was and is still my favorite egyptian god card
ngl I didn't think much of Ultimate Divine-Beast when it was announced, but when playing Master Duel the solo mode duel with Poker Knights Slifer vs "Bakura" w/ Necrofear & Destiny Board, I managed to put both Slifer & UDB on board by the second turn before Destiny Board got set up and they basically won the game for me.
The only place you'll see mega ultra chicken playable is duel links farming decks like aroma
In the YGO Arc V tag force I tried once experimenting Slifer with
1. Black Garden
- it's token generation for tribute
summon
- attack decreasing effect when
monsters are summoned
(excluding flip summon and
Slifer's tribute summon)
2. Monarch support cards
- effects advantageous to and for
tribute summoned monsters
3. Wicked Dreadroot
- all face up monsters' attack are
halved
4. Generic support and effect
negation cards included in the
game.
It's kinda tedious, and the deck is not going to have synergy but it was just one of those gimmicks I wanted to try for an iconic YGO card. 😅😅😅
Now I'm hype for you to discuss the sacred beasts :P
17:15 sadly it's not a endless loop since sphere mode can't get ra out of the graveyard.
Is the 39 minutes because of all the support these divine being have been receiving from their worshipers? This is all coming from 9 hours before the premier.
For years, whenever I bring up Yu-Gi-Oh with random people, DM and BEWD rarely come up. It's always Exodia. Always.
We both know that it's not a lot, but it's strange that it happened twice.

28:18 we just not going to talk about how Horakhty, the Creator of Light, is the only Egyptian God that *is* the actual deity its based on (the Egyptian God Cards are servants of various gods, as evidenced by their Japanese names), doesn't have any official TCG printings, and is one of Yu-Gi-Oh's most expensive cards? (I wish I owned a copy.)
is it just me or do the hieroglyphs on the gods look 3d, like a corridor
but if you look at the top left the edge is closer to the viewer
BUT THE BOTTOM LEFT IS THE OPPOSITE
(or maybe i need glasses idk)
Each of the god cards technically has its own entire theme to support it but since they don't explicitly State their names I guess they count as different archetypes. The face card theme is meant to be played with Slifer the Ra's disciple / slime theme is meant to support Ra and there's a new theme coming out that might have already come out meant for obelisk that is themed around fiend cards that Kaiba used
The "Kaiser" card? Or is there other cards. Please tell me the names
Wasn't there a second type of obalisk, or am I confusing it with ancient gear golem?
The sacred beast Ravioli has a second form, something skyscraper
Thanks, I forgot it was raviel that had it.
Genuinely surprised Exodia wasn't a main pick option.
Most of us OG Pokemon, Digimon, and Yugioh watchers who were little kids watching as 10 year olds, as they came out, quickly fell off the shows once we were teens. Hence why only know/like the OG cards from the first season(s)
An alternative to playing all of that god support
Play God Monarchs. Monarchs plus whatever god you want.
How many people use these cards in duel links farming decks
33:10 You can play Soul Crossing through negates, I believe. You see The God cards Normal Summons can’t be negated since you are Tribute summoning them which is their normal summons, You cannot negate their Normal Summons. I remember I did it through a few duels and the negates to summon Obelisk although it could be a glitch from the game bringing the cards into the game. 🐹
that's not how it works
@@literallygrass1328 It isn’t? I remember doing it in a few duel when my opponent used Solem or Dragoon to negate the cards activation, but I was still able to summon Obelisk. Unless it was a glitch in the games code then my mistake 🐹

The Wicked god series actually was a spin off, it's kinda like the manga equivalent of an OVA written by a different author
numeron are a strong draw and tribute engine for them. memories of hope, pot of avarice, pot of desires, etc. honestly if you run meta cards to support the gods they have good chance to shine. pot of prosperity, lightning storm, droplet, etc. It's like how in the anime how Atem's deck revolved around playing them with ease but still had methods to win without them.

question would monster reborn reborn be a viable option to discard?
It would need to say “a “monster reborn” card” for that
2:56 sneaky tfs reference
What?
Horakhty or holactie?
If i did remember yugi say Horakhty not holactie
Either way, it references Re-Horakhty, one of the most powerful gods in Egyptian mythology.
Basically, make Ra and Horus do the Fusion Dance. You get a being whose name means "Re, Hur of the Two Horizons". (Re and Hur are Ra and Horus's names in ancient Egyptian, respectively.)
It exists because Ra/Re is the sun god, the sun is in the sky, Horus is *a* sky god, and Horus's eyes were said to be the sun and the moon.
I personally go with Horakhty because of the cultural connections, but I'm not sure what it is officially because it never got a TCG printing 😭
They finally got their MD. Animations.
I've had some success playing the gods with Monarchs and vassals.
I definitely wish they would just errata the gods to at least have immunity to card effects.
Like, I don't get it, regular boss monsters these days get to have immunity like that, and a lot of them are much easier to summon :P

I made a slifer the sky dragon deck with dark magician and it's so fun and strong to play. I liked it so much I made my own anime show on my channel 😎👍
Surely now, we could have the gods at their anime power level now in the game right?
It may not be the easiest card draw out of Yu-Gi-Oh but it is my favorite obelisk the tormentor
"You don't have to go as far as a spinoff to find more god cards." Well actually, R is also a spinoff. Wasn't written by Takahashi.
THe god cards would instantly become viable if they made pendulum support cards. A pendulum god deck would be so much fun to play.
Im surprised you haven’t done this archetype before
Given how broken new archetypes are, they should just give the god cards all of their anime effects + can’t be targeted. Don’t think it would change the meta at all but would definitely make the gods more viable without relying on 10 spell or traps that you may or may not have in your hand/field when you do get a god card summoned.
I remember Ra appearing in an episode of GX and the player had a trap card which basically bound it to the field. Or am I going crazy?
Pegasus made a second Ra card but it was killing people then it was stolen by a worker when they were going to seal it away and the card he used was the only thing keeping him alive because it was locking Ra's power.
All right it will be ready after work
It really makes me sad these cards aren't playable even at Rouge levels. So much investment for a monster that can be defeated with ease by the boss monsters of every other archetype or simple spells or traps that destory.
Couldn't Convusion of Nature help with The True Name?
It technically would, but then you'd be playing an otherwise completely dead card that's also unsearchable just to boost it
I prefer more on the Japanese dub for slifer: Osiris no tenku ryu. Dt~ heavenly dragon of Osiris. It seems very weird from those dishonest translation to use Slifer. Also i hope there will be more support for Obelisk and Osiris parallel to Sacred beast archetype . Thus we will see more competitive play from them.

Okay real talk the real cards feel like a very hard down grade from their anime counterparts, cause I personally believe that...the Sacred Beast are better.
