I played Timelords a few years ago in the middle of Thunder Dragons being omnipresent. Some of these decks had no non-destruction removal effects and couldn't get rid of them xD Here's some tech picks that I noticed though. -Dark Factory of More Production - One of the issues of Timelords is that, they shuffle back into the deck and you slowly lose card advantage. Even supposing your opponent doesn't remove them, you rely on drawing exactly a new Timelord to normal summon every turn to keep your LP safe, otherwise your opponent. Factory changes that dynamic by turning your used Timelords into draws, and them being in the graveyard allows to shuffle for Infinite Machine and Infinite Light. Factory also turns Zaphion into Pot of Greed, and combo very well with the next card... -which is, and I can't believe I'm saying this, MYSTIC MINE. Attack with the Timelords during your turn and then clear them with Factory to keep your opponent under the lock. Yes, it's an abomination, and I hate it. But it works? -On a lighter mood, Advance Draw is another draw card that works with Timelords and makes you draw 3 with Zaphion. --> and uh, that's it for now.
@@zombieboss5178 I haven't returned to timelords for a while now, so I have no list to share with you. Not helped by the fact I sold my Timelord base IRL (long before Mine was banned). Junk Sleep is a great tech card for timelords. The second effect reads "During the End Phase: You can change all monsters you control to face-down Defense Position." What this does is keep your monsters on the field and prevents them from going back to the deck during standby, since they're face down and don't proc. What's great is if your opponent attacks, timelords effects still activate, and then you can just flip them back at end phase and keep repeating Junk Sleep is a janky way of getting Infinite Light's retaining ability without the previous trap setup

The thing about vorpgatr is the first time I learned about this card, the person I was dueling on ygopro summoned it and had mystic mine on the field. Mystic Mine allowed him to banish all my monsters, but since I had a clean field it's effect to return everything didn't activate, so he had a monster that couldn't be destroyed by battle or card effects, and could clear any field of monsters with no reprocussions whatsoever. Fun game that one
10:45 imagine the shock when you realise that it's anime effect when it leaves the field ( even by its own effect) you draw until you have 5 cards in hand ( if you have less) boy would that be abused if it was ported
I've played against these so many times in master duel. Because they run lots of battle traps, I usually just sit on my boss monsters and let them not read. Flower cardian lightflare counters their entire gimmick so once they've attacked, they deal 5k to themselves and that leaves them with 2 turns due to the burn of lightshower.
On the flip side though, nobody else reads card effects so when they face timelords, they just attack into one and suddenly they have half life.... they usually quit after that lol
13:18 Honestly I will never forget how dumb the reference to Timelords was in the Arc V manga... The fact that the manga made one that is a synchro is kinda a Paradox that ignored the background of the character. And there is also the dialogue of Yuya: "Those are legendary monsters" suggesting he knows those cards (Timelords, Numbers and Phantasm), just to a moment later being confuse by the fact that the villain is attacking with the 0 atk monster. So basically Yuya in the manga knows Timelords are legendary but doesn't really know about them which was strange.

I know next to nothing about the Arc-V manga, but would it have killed Konami to have made Vorpgate a level 11 so it could be an optional boss monster for timelord decks? Could even give it a summon clause to treat Time Maiden as a tuner.
I don’t think Vorpgate was meant to be used in a standard Timelord deck, I think it’s just meant to be another version of the Timelords from another dimension.
Another awesome episode as always! I've been playing a part-Timelord deck for the last couple months in Master Duel, and here are my thoughts on the matter: - Kaijus have a weird amount of synergy with Timelords; the deck I've been running is a Timelord/Kaiju/Train engine, and it works more reliably than almost any other deck I've ever run. If your opponent has a Baronne de Fleur or other monster with a negate effect just waiting to turn off your Timelords at a crucial moment, you can just tribute it away, hand them a sea turtle, and then safely summon whichever Timelord you want to run into said turtle. Giving your opponent a Kaiju is also a fantastic way to utilize Metaion, Kamion, and Raphion's effects; the former two allow you to return the Kaiju to _your_ deck, still inflicting the burn damage while also recycling your own resources and giving your opponent jack shit, while the latter is now guaranteed a big target to inflict tons of damage with. And of course, Special Summoning a Jizukiru to your field is an excellent way to get that second monster to overlay into Gustav Max. Not to mention that Interrupted Kaiju Slumber destroys all monsters on the field and lets you replace them with whatever two Kaijus you want... and Timelords *just so happen* to be immune to the destruction effect, meaning you get a huge monster AND get to keep any Timelords you summoned first. - It's a bit more of a corner case, but I find it hilarious that- because of the weird rules-lawyering that happens around effect text in this game- Michion's life point halving effect _doesn't actually count as damage,_ meaning that any of your opponent's effects that activate when they take damage will NOT trigger off of Michion. - I'm almost curious how much synergy Timelords might have with Invoked. Not only do the Timelords have a wide array of Attributes that would open the doors wide for Invocation, but it would also provide a way to easily get Timelords into the grave for the summoning of Sephylon, something that the theme itself can only reliably do using Empty Machine.
Yeah, paying LP, taking damage and losing LP are three different things in Yu-Gi-Oh. I once met a D/D player who thought they could use King d'Arc and Soul Charge to gain a bunch of life points - which doesn't work in reality. Also I don't think Timelords are the right pick for Aleister. Aleister better fits in a deck that doesn't need to normal summon - which, Timelords need their normal a lot.
What I am wondering is: Timelorda manipulate LP directly. What happens if you spladh a few into Dinomorphia? Setting an opponents life to your own sounds terrifying in this context.
Just fucked up a dinimorphia player with ny timelord deck. It was pretty tough tho. I'm sure he raged at the end. I think he had like 70lp or something when I did the killing blow 😂
a lil silly tech pick from me is T.AI strike. it allows you to set your attack to the attack of a monster that it is in battle with and if a monster is destroyed in that battle the player that had its monster destroyed takes damage equal to the attack of that monster. since timelords can’t be destroyed by battle you don’t take the burn but your opponent does!
My random tech pic: Shining Hope Road to use Timelords in the GY for 3 material Number XX: Utopic Dark Infinity. It's a terrible combo with no consistency for drawing Hope Road but pulling it off isn't super difficult as empty machine and gustav max can get timelords into GY easily. One for One to get a timelord into GY and time maiden onto field is also a nice option.
Gotta say, after the Moki Moki vid, I was expecting a Duston Explained vid to keep the theme of cute abominations xD. Moki being Fairy and Duston being Fiends
Time lords also synergize well with the XYZ monster: Ravenous Tarantula because they can make the difference in life points change easily which in turn makes the tarantula stronger...and everything else on the board because of its abilities. toss in astral kuribohs with celestial transformations to help bringing it out . Toss in kaijus or a lava golem, some ground collapses and a karma cut or two. Really, time lords work very well in many variations, I've found. Particularly level/rank 10 monster focused decks
@@215nunu3 unsure if you are serious or not but, if you want help with building a deck with time lords then maybe I could help. anything specific you have in mind as to what you want the deck to do? Unless you are going for a pure timelord archetypal build, timelords in of themselves have proven to be supplemental rather than primary to other strategies involving fairys, level 4 monsters, rank 4 xyz monsters, level 10 monsters, and rank 10 xyz monsters. They function as a toolbox of possible answers to various board states your opponent presents to you. Zaphion is an answer to backrow being a problem. Metaion is an answer to front row and furthermore lets you return your own monsters to your hand (except itself). This synergizes well with the use of a kaiju summon and lets you reuse the kaiju you just summoned using your opponent's monster. Sandaion is a nice indestructible beatstick that burns after it attacks. Kamion is a super strong any card removal tool, sends any 1 opponent's front or back row card back into the deck Each has a good use for dealing with the board and letting you have room to perhaps make a game winning turnaround.
My favorite combo with them is gabrion, lazion, and sadion. constant board wipe and damage as well as a stay in game. also throw in some sanctuary in the sky and celestial transformation to protect your life points and add cards to the field after infinite light was activated
Considering the theme of Quasar Commander, why does it feel like The next archetype they will ask for will be either Numeron, or Supreme King or even @ Ignister?
Ok I haven’t watched 5Ds basiclaly at all and won’t be any time soon since imma binge all of Yugioh all at once probably next year, but like, if Zone wanted to stop the overuse of that energy then instead of trying to kill all duelist he should’ve idk go back further in time and tell the people who made it the repercussions and if they don’t take your warning then kill them
One fun tech choice is ritual sanctuary. By returning a spell card from the grave to the deck you can recycle maidens for more Timelord, and there is a light ritual monster hand trap you can search that protects against monster targeting and special summoning. And if you wanted to go into ritual monsters properly, timelords pay for most ritual costs. It's a fun syngery
The spell card: T A.I. Strike synergizes very well with the time lords and time maidens because of how it can effectively punish the opponent for having beatsticks
I saw on a conversation thread on the Yugioh wiki that there was once some sort of citation somewhere that the faces of the Timelords are ment to be based on previous Yugioh villains. I have no idea whether or not this is actually true, as I couldn't find that citation.
SO infinite light can equal a 4 Mat Apolluzza, a Saryuja or a OTK through ignoring the summon Condition of Sephion, then using Sephy to summon Sandion to negate its effect and have the 8k that way
Super cool archetype, with a neat reference to Doctor Who. Similar to D/D/D for me, in that's it's not a particularly strong archetype, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna make a deck out of it
i like to use a combo of lazion and Gabrion with help of time maiden so i can clear the field and damage the opponent. add that Infinite Light and Michion and I'm cutting down my opponent's life down fast
You know what, fuck it. I like your content, and I wanna see Leo and Luna and feel like I had a part in making it happen, so I subbed. Even if I'm just one of many, at least I feel like I did something.
As a jewish person, while I'm an agnostic atheist, jewish religion is a part of my people's history, and I feel quite honored that the creators of Yugioh created an entire archetype of powerful and cool looking monsters, that are themed after supernatural entities from my own religion, ESPECIALLY when this archetype is being used by such an important character like Z-one!😊.
Z-one was right! Every single scientist spent the past 100 years trying to decipher Nirvana High Paladin, instead of solving climate change. Simply put, the complexity of Yu-Gi-Oh! has ended the world... But HOPE STILL REMAINS!!!
One thing I have noticed playing Time Lords as a returnee is that nobody seems to read the card. I usually play Master Duel now but I have still noticed people don't read the card at all. Which comes up with me usually screwing them over because timelords while not invincible are nearly. I've gotten too many easy games where people just keep attacking them. I even let this one dude get himself to a single life point
I absolutely love this deck and Strategy they Dropped the Ball on the “Z-one” character The Man shoulda just been a disappointed with all mankind Cyber terror version of Yusei who hates Synchos. Slight real world meta reference to the people who thought synchros ruined YuGIOh… 🤷🏿♂️🤖 That woulda been easier to u understand and relate to but none the less thank you for another great Vid
funny enough time maiden is a cost for its effects, and mitchion isn't treated as damage they'll still be halved when you activate cards like dark ruler.
it is actually a really bad idea to do that since you could since timelords go back to deck and you need no monster too summon them, and dinomorphia already have rexterm so tributing it away would be absolutely useless
At my locals when the big super timelord first came out I remember EVERYONE was playing safe zone timelord fairy spam, was so annoying that I rotated back to plant synchro just to black rose the board every 3 seconds, I have safe zone ptsd
I personally run a handful of these in my Cubic deck. They fix bricks while providing enough supplementary burn to make for easy consistent OTKs with Crimson Nova. Also when I built cubic they were the most recommended support.
@@Cwronaga216 I did try out my cubics with the numeron cards and yeah I have noticed it worked well. oh, a numeron, cubic, time Lord deck would be annoying with a few hand traps.
@@stanclark8824 you can run all 3 but your only need one copy of the field spell and the summon spell with 3 walls. You need to keep the non-cubic engine as small as possible to keep Cubics running smooth.
Love facing these guys on Sky Striker. Raye and friends have plenty of monster negates, and the slow pace of the game suits sky just fine. It stops being a friendly duel if they get rid of your gy, though
I understand that it's not a good archetype competitively, but for any new players or casuals this has to be one of the most annoying decks to fight against, i see them way too often in master duel especially in festivals and they make the game boring and frustrating, I defeat them mostly but even then I wish they would get banned from festivals at least
@@eliochang-olmedo5321 Wattsquirrel and Level Limit Area B. Wattsquirrel - Level 3 - This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase. If this card battles, negate the effects of the monster it battled, after damage calculation (including in the Graveyard). Level Limit Area B - Continuous Spell Card - Change all face-up Level 4 or higher monsters to Defense Position. The abilities of most of the Timelords activate at the end of the Battle Phase. Wattsquirrel effect activates after the Damage Step which is during the Battle Phase. So, you can use Wattsquirrel to negate the Timelords abilities, including the one that bounces them back to the deck, and use Level Limit Area B to force them into defense mode to prevent them from suiciding into your own monsters. Since they don’t bounce back to the deck, your opponent can’t summon a new Timelord. Additionally, since most Watt monster can attack directly, you don’t need to worry about bricked Timelord on your opponent’s field. The only Timelords that this strategy doesn’t work on are Sephylon and Vorpgate. However, Sephylon can’t easily be summoned and as for Vorpgate, it can't actually be summoned in a pure Timelord deck.
I know it seems like Timelords are unstoppable but as a Timelord main we are unfortunately not invincible. 😅 If you play a Direct Attacking deck like Toons. Its a horrible match up for us Timelord mains. If you play a deck with heavy amounts of Banish and Negate effects. We definitely lose. You can also bounce Timelord cards back into the deck or hand when we attack, tribute summon over them Timelords and even put negative equip cards(that dont destroy) as Timelords can be targeted by effects.
I'm not far into the video but like, if the problem was abusing synchro summoning or something, why nott just stop the abuse from happening instead of killing all duelist.
@@steveshin820 I understand that point, but stopping the abuse and banning something is different. it allows you to set your attack to the attack of a monster that it is in battle with and if a monster is destroyed in that battle the player that had its monster destroyed takes damage equal to the attack of that monster. since timelords can’t be destroyed by battle you don’t take the burn but your opponent does!
that would be a fun move.
I love seeing them suffer when I have Dosolfachord Coolia and Odd Eyes Pendulum with SKSV copying Odd Eye’s Effect.
14:23 they really need to print those manga cards because this card was made for a specific combo
I’ve been waiting for this video as a timelord player
Gotta say, after the Moki Moki vid, I was expecting a Duston Explained vid to keep the theme of cute abominations xD. Moki being Fairy and Duston being Fiends
I think Z-one is my favorite villain
Time lords also synergize well with the XYZ monster: Ravenous Tarantula because they can make the difference in life points change easily which in turn makes the tarantula stronger...and everything else on the board because of its abilities. toss in astral kuribohs with celestial transformations to help bringing it out . Toss in kaijus or a lava golem, some ground collapses and a karma cut or two. Really, time lords work very well in many variations, I've found. Particularly level/rank 10 monster focused decks
Please help me more
@@215nunu3 unsure if you are serious or not but, if you want help with building a deck with time lords then maybe I could help. anything specific you have in mind as to what you want the deck to do?
Kamion is a super strong any card removal tool, sends any 1 opponent's front or back row card back into the deck
Each has a good use for dealing with the board and letting you have room to perhaps make a game winning turnaround.
Accidentally clicked this thinking it was a Doctor Who video from the Thumbnail, but Yu-Gi-Oh is good as well.
My favorite combo with them is gabrion, lazion, and sadion. constant board wipe and damage as well as a stay in game. also throw in some sanctuary in the sky and celestial transformation to protect your life points and add cards to the field after infinite light was activated
Would love to see one about Virtual World! Great video!
i still can't belive the plot of junior journey is just the plot of 5d's
i saw Vorpgate and now i guess i have to buy the whole deck
Help me out with this strategy I need more details in what cards to have with
The spell card: T A.I. Strike synergizes very well with the time lords and time maidens because of how it can effectively punish the opponent for having beatsticks
Completely skipped over effect number 4 on sandion the time lord, I’m a little confused how the 4th effect works
I saw on a conversation thread on the Yugioh wiki that there was once some sort of citation somewhere that the faces of the Timelords are ment to be based on previous Yugioh villains. I have no idea whether or not this is actually true, as I couldn't find that citation.
7:15 Actual footage of the Halq Hitmen at work
What about the Savage Colosseum fieldspell?
That should also fit perfectly into the timelords gameplan.
It's great, but you only have one field spell slot, so it was either that or mound and personally I think mount is better
Nova needs his own archetype. He's way too cut out for the villain role.
Well Deskbot 001 is pretty common for HalqDon, I think that secures villain status
This man's Patron forgot about the Wicked Gods.
As a beginner i must know: are these cards shown in the vid enough for the deck? Or some more to fill would be good?
12:50 should we tell him?
Yeah anime timelords are broken
Look at the pose on the card art and effect and typing.
Maybe even Bloom Diva's somewhat of a Timelord.
Just as a note: sephirot is the plural, sephirah is the singular
hang on a minnit
is the BGM some of Kevin MacLeod's work for Kerbal Space Program?
SO infinite light can equal a 4 Mat Apolluzza, a Saryuja or a OTK through ignoring the summon Condition of Sephion, then using Sephy to summon Sandion to negate its effect and have the 8k that way
Yes, Infinite Light can do that....
Good luck with that though since it takes at minimum 4 turns to get it out
Super cool archetype, with a neat reference to Doctor Who. Similar to D/D/D for me, in that's it's not a particularly strong archetype, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna make a deck out of it
i like to use a combo of lazion and Gabrion with help of time maiden so i can clear the field and damage the opponent. add that Infinite Light and Michion and I'm cutting down my opponent's life down fast
you fotgot one day of peace and foolish burial, one for one
You know what, fuck it. I like your content, and I wanna see Leo and Luna and feel like I had a part in making it happen, so I subbed. Even if I'm just one of many, at least I feel like I did something.
Have you done a subterror video
As a jewish person, while I'm an agnostic atheist, jewish religion is a part of my people's history, and I feel quite honored that the creators of Yugioh created an entire archetype of powerful and cool looking monsters, that are themed after supernatural entities from my own religion, ESPECIALLY when this archetype is being used by such an important character like Z-one!😊.
I love using those monsters.
also play mystic mine. its the best timelord card.
Z-one was right!
Every single scientist spent the past 100 years trying to decipher Nirvana High Paladin, instead of solving climate change. Simply put, the complexity of Yu-Gi-Oh! has ended the world...
But HOPE STILL REMAINS!!!
Utopia number 39
well sorry time lords but you cant catch me if i use time thiefs!
1:19 or or off brand his name after operate offbrand artist
I absolutely love this deck and Strategy
they Dropped the Ball on the “Z-one” character
The Man shoulda just been a disappointed with all mankind Cyber terror version of Yusei who hates Synchos. Slight real world meta reference to the people who thought synchros ruined YuGIOh…
🤷🏿♂️🤖
That woulda been easier to u understand and relate to but none the less thank you for another great Vid
Glad i couldnt see the horrific faces from far away or it will give nightmares.
How was their not one Galifrey joke in this whole thing ?
Hey nova digimon survive, survived
funny enough time maiden is a cost for its effects, and mitchion isn't treated as damage they'll still be halved when you activate cards like dark ruler.
Junk Sleep. Flip your cards face down during your opponents end phase. No more going back to deck.
Just crystalwing the synchro
If timelords are rock then number c9 dyson sphere is like paper
I expected some wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff
So Gabrion is basically UA Turnover Tactics.
Vorpgates 2nd effect could be negated by using a negate on yourself
Doesn't seem like a lot in duel links dont know about these beasts...
Anybody got an idea on how we could effectively work Halion, Raphion and Sadion into a Dinomorphia-deck?
it is actually a really bad idea to do that since you could since timelords go back to deck and you need no monster too summon them, and dinomorphia already have rexterm so tributing it away would be absolutely useless
my very favorite stupid tech in timelords is Clashing Souls. it + any timelord is a really janky one-sided board wipe
Quick someone as a time traveling auto bot about this deck
At my locals when the big super timelord first came out I remember EVERYONE was playing safe zone timelord fairy spam, was so annoying that I rotated back to plant synchro just to black rose the board every 3 seconds, I have safe zone ptsd
I personally run a handful of these in my Cubic deck. They fix bricks while providing enough supplementary burn to make for easy consistent OTKs with Crimson Nova. Also when I built cubic they were the most recommended support.
I did not think to put these in my cubic deck. that's a good to know move.
@@stanclark8824 Cubic also work well with the Numeron engine.
@@Cwronaga216 good to know. I will remember that for sure! I am redoing my decks so I was wondering what to do with them as well.
As a whovian and someone who will never play with them, I want them
We gonna mention they based on the 10 Sephirot?
Love facing these guys on Sky Striker. Raye and friends have plenty of monster negates, and the slow pace of the game suits sky just fine. It stops being a friendly duel if they get rid of your gy, though
That’s why I keep that Mf lazion on me 💯
Ahh I love these guys
I destroyed them with wether painters
Just in time
I understand that it's not a good archetype competitively, but for any new players or casuals this has to be one of the most annoying decks to fight against, i see them way too often in master duel especially in festivals and they make the game boring and frustrating, I defeat them mostly but even then I wish they would get banned from festivals at least
In duel links i hope become strong deck and i remember michion is a troll card in 3 copies in one deck
I'm not saying there's a two card combo that could almost certainly shut down this entire archetype but...
Please elaborate, just curious
@@AgentofAlcor613 interesting! Thanks for the reply!
Insert Dr who theme
just noticed the little faces that are on each of the timelord's breastplates. ; _ ;

I can't seem to hear it:0
How can you destroy these?
I know it seems like Timelords are unstoppable but as a Timelord main we are unfortunately not invincible. 😅
If you play a Direct Attacking deck like Toons.
How well did prohibition work
@@steveshin820 I understand that point, but stopping the abuse and banning something is different. Like if they are using synchro summons for energy and stuff, and dueling is all technological just like, stop people from using that that summoning after so many duels in a week. He came from the future, surely theres other things he could have done than going duelist genocide, thats also not an effective option in fact its quite worse than prohibition and what it causes.
Also Deus ex Machina 🤨
FLUFFALS PLEASE
Didn’t think this deck would be covered use to play this deck a lot
I have one thing to say
Would Celestial Transformation destroy them.
No, it does not! I'm a Timelord player and Celestial Transformation is a key card in my deck. The destruction effect won't destroy the summoned Timelord, allowing you to get multiple Timelord triggers per battle or XYZ summon into an easy Rank 10.
I'm so sad! You didn't talk about Montage Dragon!
Love time lord, well playing them
The ironic weaknes of the deck is thed it can run out of steam with a normal build
Other Thech pich
Harald(of orange light) to put negete and put time lors in the grave fore the emty machine
And advence draw to do the same and draw cards and if u send Zaphion, u get 1 extra
