    Great video. I'm a bodyman in real life. If you want to get rid of the uneven metallic grading, you need to have a wider spay pattern. The paint and clear coat is being applied too narrow. It should come out in a wide triangle like shape. Keep up the good work!

      @@BRscalegarage I had the same issue spraying Tamiya Mica Red for my R32 Nismo Custom model. I changed to my 0.5mm airbrush and held the nozzle back further (5 inches), for a wider spray, and I also increased my overlap from 50% to 80%. The metal flake is flawless with no 'tiger stripes' or any other dark spots.

    So I’m pretty new to this stuff and was considering buying that exact kit but I have a few questions:
    1. What tools do I have to buy to assemble the kit?
    2. Do I need to get paint for it?
    3. How long did it take to assemble it?

    • @BRscalegarage
      @BRscalegarage  2 года назад

      1.Glue; Tamiya extra thin cement, Tamiya craft bond(for transparent parts), modeler's side cutter, sand paper, tweetzer , art knife.
      2.You do need to get paint.

      Use Tamiya clear red paint or a red sharpie marker. Apply the paint or marker to the backside of the brake light lens.

    What can u suggest if on budget,like does the cans spray paints good or not?

    • @mrb2917
      @mrb2917 11 месяцев назад +1

      Tamiya TS code spray cans (lacquer) are very good for model cars. Shake the can VERY well before spraying, spray in a well ventilated area with low dust in the air, and hold the can back 8 inches. Move the can fast from side to side, do not move across the car slow, you will get too much paint built up and it will run in drips down the car. Do a light coat first, it will not cover the car completely. Then wait 10min and do another coat, a little heavier this time. Then wait 10 more minutes and do a final coat. Wait 1 day before spraying clear coat and do 3 coats of clear coat the same method as the paint, light coat first, then two medium coats, all 10min apart.

      The advan neova concept rubber pattern has one side like ad08 15:04 , I didn't put it on the wrong side at all. This tire will be worn the same as r888.
      But the tires were not created in the right direction. So look that I put it upside down

    Hi there. I plan to get my first tamiya and I wanted to ask if glue is necessary?

    • @BRscalegarage
      @BRscalegarage  2 года назад +1

      Glue is very necessary.
      You should get the glue for model kit only.
      I recommend Tamiya craft bond -for transparent part
      and Tamiya Extra Thin Cement for opaque part only , quick-dry, be careful not to apply on your paint.
      For me, I often use Craft Bond.

    • @BRscalegarage
      @BRscalegarage  Год назад +1

      Using brush for painting the body might create uneven surface. It's better to us spray tools for model kits. 🙂🙌

    • @mrb2917
      @mrb2917 11 месяцев назад

      Use Tamiya lacquer paint spray cans and spray outside on a large sheet of paper or clean dust-free cardboard, only spray when the wind is very low, or dust will be stuck on the wet paint. Do not use a brush to paint the car, it will be very ugly.
