At the beginning of the video, I asked myself, why are you calling us weirdos? But I love how you did it. Yeah I am weirdo, for spending more then 2 decades training, I am a weirdo for fighting with concrete walls and pillars, I am a weirdo for adoring Tong-Po (not his evil actions, that I resent), I am a weirdo for continuing training after SCI, when by logic I should have stopped completely, but no, I just had to gear down. I am a weirdo, for learning a control in cold weapons over guns (which I do know how to use, but I trust the cold ones more, such a weirdo I am). I am a weirdo, that in the only competition I took part in my life, I fought a black belt in the finale, I didn't win, but I am a weirdo for still willing to fight a stronger opponent. I am a weirdo for listening to you (I am kidding my friend, I love you, you give me wisdom and amuse me at the same time). But I will tell you, for what I am not weirdo for. I am not weirdo, for not listening to my family. Who instead of driving me into success, they tell me that martial arts is a hobby, it's not serious, it won't bring me enough cash. That I should either leave it, forgetting about wanting to teach, which is probably easy and fun, and I should look for a profession. Martial arts is no profession, it worth nothing. That's what they told me, and so help me god, I will prove them wrong, no matter how long will it take. I am determent, not to listen to negative people, and to move my life in a positive direction. So for that I am not a weirdo, I am a guy who takes martial arts super seriously, for me it's my way of life, it's what I love and want to do every day. And if one day, I will be able, to pass my knowledge for others, and it will save their lives like it saved mine, then I did my own, and completed what I believe is my emissary. Hahaha Ando Sensei, so right, just reminded me how I used a naeryo chagi to turn the lights on and open the front door in the onset of Covid 😆😆😆 Got me in trouble and nearly a fight with the housekeeper 😆
Discipline is seen weird and the majority of people are not disciplined like we martial artist are, to do the same for years is really weird, BUT HEY !!! WE LOVE IT THAT WAY WE LOVE TO BE WEIRDOS
Some people wants video games and theirs me the person who her room is filled with martial arts weapons like nunchucks katana kali sticks and shurikens im pretty weird as a teen
I've never been in a "dojo". I am a chess player. Chess is a martial art (war art). Why is a butterfly powdery? It is a defense against spider's web. The power sticks to the sticky web. The butterfly flies away. Nature is tooth and claw, poisons and thorns. Moves and counters. If you are not a martial artist, you don't understand Nature. "Every rose has its thorns, like every night has its dawn, like every cowboy sings his sad sad song Every rose has its thorns." Things don't come up "roses". That's a misnomer. Things come up roses and thorns.
There are three types of people in this world: sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs … Now, some people prefer to believe that evil doesn’t exist in the world - those are the sheep. And then you got predators who use violence to prey on the weak. They’re the wolves. And then there are those who have been blessed with the gift of aggression, and the overpowering need to protect the flock. These men are the rare breed that live to confront the wolf. They are the sheepdog. - Chris Kyle
I don't understand the concept of "weirdo". Ask oneself, which one is superior? I play chess. People consider it "weird". Chess is a martial art. Ask oneself, which is superior, a person who plays chess or a person who do not play chess? Even if you consider something weird, (consider, not re-acting, as in deeply thinking and consider.), things have a few surprises for you. I consider musicians and singers weird. In a chess club with 49 guys and 1 girl, once the time begins, all you can hear is the ticking of the mechanical clocks for 3 hours. I come from the world of quiet. Quiet is my weapon. Nature is quiet. A cat, a tiger, have padded feet, to sneak up on its prey quietly. Noise is the enemy of the cats. Musicians are cry babies to me. (Musicians agree). The only time we broadcast noise is when we were babies and we are in distress. It's an emergency siren. It's in the songs, "Crying over you" - Roy Orbison. "Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled" - Elvis. Singing is just a form of being a cry baby. However, musicians are also recording artists. And they have to do the OPPOSITE. They have to have QUIET. They have to sound proof the recording room. They have to invent mechanical recording devices that CANNOT make sound, which is nearly impossible. They can create "sound stages" which are SOUNDLESS stages. They know how to make noise, but they also know how to make quiet as their tool. And musicians are good at picking up rhythms and patterns. Rose Namajunas said that Joanna Jędrzejczyk's Muy Thai "looks dangerous but it is rhythmic . . . on the beat", predictable to her. That's how she won the first fight easily. You underestimate someone different, you are in for rude awakening.
Perspective. Martial art (war art) is not weird. It is weird because we live in relatively peace time. America is at war for 30 years in the Middle East, but the average American is not aware of it. War is almost an abstraction. Like something out of Star Trek: A Taste of Armageddon. Wars go on, but our cities and infrastructure are untouched because America fights on foreign soil. It is not a real war. It's a "taste" of Armageddon. War is the arbiter of who lives and who dies. "War is a matter of life and death." Sun Tzu, the Art of War. This happened before in history. In the Meiji (Enlightenment) Period in Japan, when there is only 1 clan left standing after all the fighting (ala WWE Royal Rumble), and unified Japan in peace. During this peace time, men wear make up, and speak softly like women and adopt the mannerisms of women. (Like guys in South Korean guys do today, wearing make up and adopting feminine mannerisms. Si vis pacem, para bellum. If you want to live in peace, prepare for war. - The Punishes (2004) To survive war, you must become war. - Rambo, First Blood Part II.
And it's not weird when I see my fellow martial artists wince in pain when the instructor does a joint lock or pressure point on them, and I enthusiastically raise my hand and say, "Me next!"
HA! 😄 Excellent!

Mentally I'm maybe a bit 🤪🤫
You are really pushing the boundaries, my friend… physically and mentally. 😄
Haha, what every martial artist didn't know they needed to hear.
Ha! Thanks!
Discipline is seen weird and the majority of people are not disciplined like we martial artist are, to do the same for years is really weird, BUT HEY !!! WE LOVE IT THAT WAY WE LOVE TO BE WEIRDOS
Yes, sir! Keep being weird! 😁

Weird is good, makes life's path a more interesting walk....like an empi uchi to switch off the lights, which I do a lot 😆
Interesting, indeed! Carry on, sir! 👍🏼
hi
Howdy!
I am finding that I have a common sense as far as self care is concerned which is very uncommon 🥋
Then you are blessed! Happy training!👍🏼
At least I'm a DEADLY "Weirdo!".
HA! 😄 Excellent.
No fear of being normal here. Even if I gave up the martial arts , my practice of falconry keeps me well rooted in the path of wierdoism.
HA! 😄 That’s double cool. 🦅
Shoutout to all weirdos out there! We rock!
Yeah! 😄💪🏼
"Every rose has its thorns,
like every night has its dawn,
like every cowboy sings his sad sad song
Every rose has its thorns."
Things don't come up "roses". That's a misnomer. Things come up roses and thorns.
Roses and thorns, indeed! Thanks for another thoughtful comment!
I need a low impact martial Art .. Years of Taekwondo has my body wrenched!!! What's next ⁉️
BJJ? Tai Chi? Usually, no jumping or bouncing required. I’m sure there’s something!
We love you, Ando...you weirdo! This note comes to you from a couple of your weirdo friends in LA! :)
Coming from such a dynamic duo of weirdos is high praise, indeed! Love back to you! 😄💖
First!!! 😍😍😍😍
High-five! 😁👋🏼
This was a weird video.
😁👍🏼
Weirdo ftw
Always! 😄
I love that breakdown. Thanks for sharing, Christian! 🙏🏻
Yaaaaay! I'm a weirdo 🤪
Carry on! 😁👍🏼
And I don't think I'm weird if I think martial arts is a different way to build the life.
Not at all. 👍🏼
Proud to be a weirdo! 👍🏻
Excellent! 😄👍🏼
Beeing normal…almost puked at that one 😅
HA! 😄 Right?
Hahaha, how you know Im always fight with imaginary guy in bathroom?you so cool sir😂👍
Before i watch your videos,i think im the only one who did that.
We are both weird! Keep fighting! 👊🏼
Lots to think about. Thanks for the insights. 👍🏼
I'm a weirdo for sweeping my messy floor then doing 'spear (broom) techniques' and having to sweep all over again....mostly cause I broke light ^_^ v
HA! 😄👍🏼

- The Punishes (2004)
To survive war, you must become war. - Rambo, First Blood Part II.
Anyone who quotes Rambo is truly an intellectual.😁👍🏼
Hahaha
😁
I am.not weird. Just a little strange
Perfect!👍🏼
@@AndoMierzwa Yes I'm perfectly strange
