- To acquire this star, Mario must again trek to the top of the mountain, where there will be an Ukiki. Mario must catch the Ukiki, and, when prompted, let him go. Mario must then follow the Ukiki to a cage with a star in. The Ukiki will break the cage, and the star will fall to the area with the other Ukiki.

Why is this game so infuriating to me that I find it bad but still love it? I hate the game but I love it at the same time so do I just get mad at the terrible controls or the difficultly

Funny thing is I also played the DS version and the monkey was on top of the mountain

I got my hat taken by the monkey a while ago and never knew how to get it back
Just run at the monkey and it will jump around. Try to predict its move and punch where he lands right when he touches the ground. It will grab him and he will give you your hat back

You should make an attempt at improving your skills, as the amount of mess ups you made were plentiful. Not a jab at you, it was just kinda of painful to watch all those failed attempts at long jumping at one part.
ikr, like you don't even need that much running distance to do a long jump.
