Marty Hill from the southern rock band Preacher Stone just passed away after a battle with brain cancer, the exact same cancer that just took the life of Blackberry Smoke drummer Brit Turner. Glioblastoma is an aggressive type of brain cancer and it is horrible, I feel for any family or friend that has lost someone they loved to this horrible disease. Marty died with family and friends around him, I am honored that I got to know Marty during the last 15 years of my life, he was like a mentor, an idol, and my brother. I even went on tour with Preacher Stone during their release of their 4th studio album Remedy for their European Tour. Marty was known to be one of the best guitarists in Southern Rock history and his legacy lives on through his music. Preacher Stone had just finished recording their 5th studio album titled V which is out now.
